Carole at YOG used to do this. sm
She made you sign payroll sheets that you submitted every payday that said you did not work overtime ever to get your lines.
I liked being one of Carole's pets
never was treated better in my life..
And so did Carole C. who owned YOG in Monrovia...
until she made the sudden announcement that she had sold!
I think we all loved Carole. We were lucky to have her....nm
:)
Just like with Carole and YOG - the companies belonged to them. (sm)
Yes, it killed me when Carole sold, but she didn't have to ask my permission. She gave me work, paid me well, lots of bonuses and perks.

Granted, even a mass E-mail thanking everyone and wishing them well in future endeavors would have been nice, but perhaps this was a hard thing for Dorothy to do, just like it was for Carole and they need to make a quick clean exit on that part of their life.

Give her a break and concentrate on setting your situation up to benefit yourself. Good luck.

Carole owned both YOG and FutureNet at one time.
They both worked under the Futurenet program which is a wonderful program, by the way. She sold YOG to MQ and sold FutureNet to one of her employees.  There is no connection between them now other than the Monrovia office for MQ still uses the Futurenet program - and why not?  It works better than 90% of the transcription platforms out there and is much easier to use.  The rest of these companies spin their wheels to reinvent the wheel and create a mess for us to work in.
I was just thinking of that -- Carole swore she'd never sell, right up until the day she sm

announced it was sold.  I do not blame her for selling, and I guess there were legal issues that made it necessary for her to lie, but it does leave you with a mistrust for what people say.  At least we still had jobs, although I quit the minute I heard The Squid had bought the company.

I wish the QTers the best of luck.  There are still lots of great companies out there.

Your Office Genie was a silly name too, but Carole

laughed all of the way to the bank when she sold the company for several million dolalrs.

Besides, your checks are not issued as Get Back Jack or whatever.  Great pay, good lines, and an easy account.  People could do worse.
