I havent heard a word about an incentive and I have worked there almost 2 years so I guess I didnt
qualify for whatever status you needed to get an incentive. Is this something you get every pay period if you meet a quota or just something quarterly. Just curious.
Is it an internet-based platform or VR? What is wrong with it?

If they say internet-based ASP, is that just the platform, or is it voice recog? nm

Does the Emdat platform use Word or is it Word-based? nm

MDI-FL - is the internet platform/MS word a good

platform.  I understand they have about 4 different platforms.  I would be interested in the proprietary internet platform that uses MS Word.  Is it user friendly and productive, can you see your line counts immediately, what type of short cut Expander is used, and the type of voice player to download jobs?

Thanks

Is that a Word-based platform?
I just applied for that position and they e-mailed me with some questions.
Word based platform
Are there any GOOD companiesthat work on a Word-based platform?
they run off a word-based platform
it's not very stream-lined and kinda klunky, but efficient enough.  I know they've made recent updates to make it run a little faster, but there were times when i would spent two to three minutes after filling out the screen waiting for my work screen to appear.
The platform is not Word, but it is Word-based. I
had little Word experience and the recruiter told me to try to find a book to learn the basics of Word as their program is Word-based.
Their own platform. Shorthand, Word based. nm
.
Is the platform good? Word-based? Is the new
position still recruiting? Just passed the written and doing the transcription next..
It is their own platform but not word based. Shorthand is the macro stuff.
Pretty decent place to work.
What in your experience is the most efficient Word-based radiology platform to work on? nm

APEX PLATFORM
Can anyone provide me with insight on how to make good line counts on this platform.   I have been working on this platform for more than 2 weeks and I can't get above 135 lines/hour as opposed to doing over 200 lines in my previous position.   If I can't get any better, I will be quitting.  Thanks for your input.
Chartscript- Just starting a job using this platform. I havent begun training yet but in looking at
the manual, it looks complicated or that you have to open up a lot of thing, I-player or something, a VPN, then the platform etc. Tell me it will be easy to learn and your able to whip through reports. I got spoiled on Escription where you just load the platform and go and then hit on button to upload. No VPN to sign into and load, no player. Just one thing. I think I'm getting to old and set in my ways to learn new systems. It seems like a hassle, so if there are any Chartscripters out there who can give me some positives, I'm all ears. I tried one other job that was the same thing and even got worse when I had to open up a ton of screens just to get demographics etc..and that was before I could even type the thing. I just cant see how that would be productive. You have 10 minutes into it before you even type the job LOL.
I heard it was called APEX,

Transolutions Apex platform

I was just wondering if any Transolutions people here use Apex?  My account is moving over next week, and I have heard only a little feedback here and there.  Any opinions from users of this platform would be appreciated.  Thanks!

Platform (apex) has problems SM
Hi there:
I have worked at Transolutions for almost 6 months. I wanted somewhere I could work for less than fulltime and get benefits.

The PTO is not bad at all (2 weeks of vacation a year, work half-day 3 of 6 holidays, other 3 are PTO, plus a week of sick leave and 1 personal time day.

The health and dental benefits for me are not quite as good. I live in a rather small city and if I ever needed to go the hospital I would have to travel 80 miles, same for in-plan dentist. If you live in a larger city you might have better coverage.

The company is small, around 180 transcriptionists. So you get lots of personal attention (customer support knows you by name). QA is not too bad. Management seems fine so far.

The real downside is their platform. Their new Internet based platform is called Apex. There are major performance issues, with it being impossible to transcribe while downloading (it freezes while downloading), freezing even when not downloading, just plain downtime from servers down and what not, disconnecting if there is any fluctuation in your internet service.

There are also several flaws in the program itself: Autocorrect glossary will not accept a 2 word abbreviation (i.e., doe snot to does not). You cannot add your autocorrect glossary from spell check. Spell check suggestions are usually useless. The program doesn't automatically spell check on download. Find & replace doesn't work at all. No change all option on spell checker. Slowing down or speeding up the sound drastically distorts voice. Work types are listed in no particular order (makes it fun to search through 40 different ones if you need to change). Physicians listed in database without their specialties. There is also no way to review past jobs, voice or text.
only want internet based too. nm

Medware..Anyone know what they pay their speech editors. I have applied but havent heard back. I
was just curious if it was worth my time or not.
Apex platform leaves a lot to be desired
I couldn't make any lines on it.  Feel free to email me if you want more details.  They do seem to be nice people.
Internet based companies?
I'm probably grasping at straws here, but can anyone suggest any really good companies that are hiring for internet based work?  IC or employee, it doesn't matter!  I'm currently working with DVI and not really happy with it.  I would much rather stick with the internet based companies.
I use DVI and am internet-based. Look on the job boards to
see what equipment requirements are.  Post your resume on the job board.
Is Escription internet based?
In other words don't the records reside on a database on the internet? Or am I mistaken?
Be wary of their platform. If it's Apex, I'd run. No money to be made there.
I would do whole pages and only end up with like 30 lines. No thanks. I would have starved at that rate and it could be their line counting system too. They do it based on only black visible lines which obviously means no spaces. Good luck though. If I remember right, they send you the footpedal but it's been a while.
The platform used to be Apex. The worst thing I have EVER worked on.

I quit after a few days of struggling with that garbage. I made like $9 in two days LOL. I just remember typing a half hour only to get 30 lines and it was like over a full page of text. I'd say rip off...

MDI-MD is internet based for typing, and I am pretty sure they will be going to sm
wav files soon.  I received a wav pedal in the mail in case the system goes down, plus I know that Bayscribe is going to be set up that way.  But for now, I still have my C-phone
You can try requesting an internet-based account
If they have any openings on any internet-based accounts, they may be able to put you on one of those. My primary account is internet-based, and I requested that my secondary account be internet-based as well, which was no problem at all.
any company bayscribe internet based program?

?

Can anyone tell me who a really good SE company is that is solely internet based and are nice to
work for with decent accounts. Thanks much.
They have Scribe and Allscripts for Ortho. Both are internet based and easy to use. sm
I should mention that I do not know if those are the only two, but I think they are the majority of the accounts.
I've heard only positive things about them. So, I applied, but haven't heard a word. Maybe fl
nm
It can if it is word based
Any word based Expander can be copied over into Medware.
DVI - MS Word based
nm
The platform is Word. Their program works with Word but does not change how Word works. nm
The benefits just changed the first part of this month. I don't have them but I remember them being reasonabl for a single person. Family and spouse was not reasonable in any way (in my opinion).
But I thought that was not Word-based. Is it? nm

Is Emdat word-based?

Meditech word-based?
Anyone working for company that uses this?  From my understanding they count lines according to the amount of minutes you type.   Those of you experienced on this version of Meditech, please share some insight.  Thanks.
What is Iscriptor (Word based??) and ... NM

No, it's not Word based at all, totally different...nm

Do they use an internet platform?

It's not word based - keystroke combos are different. NM

Sounds great! Is it Word-based?
I am totally clueless about it!
yes, it is word based. And very user friendly. IMO.
nm.
It's Rapid Text-a Word-based
program. It has most of the templates built in. Very user friendly. Pretty much, if you can type in Word, you can use this platform.
