ask if an Infinity pedal will work is too general of a question. Do you need game port, serial port, USB, 9 pin, 15 pin, etc. They can be configured different ways so just because it is an Infinity doesn't mean it will work.
I use an Infinity pedal but it is specially configured to be compatible with only DVI.

Infinity makes 99% of the pedals anyway. I used a DVI
pedal when I worked on Chartscript, but I don't work on it with KS.
I use the Infinity foot pedal and it works fine on Emdat. sm
The other poster was right. With the new version of Emdat you can configure most, if not all, foot pedals to work.

When did KS stop supplying foot pedals?
I was hired by KS in early September. I was immediately sent an email with attachements of docs that I had to complete and return. I immediately completed it and faxed it back in. I got an email acknowledging that my paperwork had been received.
Six weeks went by without a word from ANYONE. I emailed the person who initially emailed me the pwrk. I also emailed the recruiter. Three days went by without a word from either. Finally, after another week and a few days, I was contacted by the TL and an IT person and a foot pedal was sent.
When you hire people, there is no acceptable reason for weeks to go by without any sort of contact. I hope that you guys have since gotten yourselves together. I quit shortly after being hired.
And yes as long as the different software and foot pedals are compatible. nm

Foot pedals needed for testing with Amphion?
I don't have a foot pedal for my computer. I have one that went with my transcription machine in the past but I suppose that's a whole different thing. I want to test for Amphion and I wondered if anybody has taken their test and knows if the pedal was needed?

Wav pedals
Could someone explain to me the mystery of the wavpedal? I have three right here, and none of them work on the same platform - one works for one but not another, and so on. they all look exactly the same and have no identifiable information printed anywhere on them. These came from Transcriptiongear. I would like to unload a couple of these, but have no idea how to advertise them or even tell someone what they are to give them away. HELP!

sooner or later. Can be fine one day and next day can be sick to death with vomiting, diarrhea, obstruction, on and on. Have seen it too many times. A friend I know had to stay in a nursing home for a year after her surgery from major complications. She still is not right, plus she is fat again.
I think this surgery is just a quick fix kind of thing and not anything that lasts for long. There are still too many unknowns about it and other risks over a long period of time.
It is 90 days, just like the majority of companies. (nm)

either don't give you the courtesy of a reply, or when they do get around to it 6 months later, you're already working somewhere else. I like your idea, but I don't think it would succeed. If they can't take 15 seconds to reply to receipt of your email with an automated message, I highly doubt they would reserve time out of their day to give attention to us on boards such as these.
Actually, you should be MORE amazed at the fact that the majority of our profession has been
outsourced and to add insult to injury, we are expected to survive on what is practially tantamount to Third World wages? Not only that, but as a MT for the last 25+ years, I am livid about the fact that our medical information is in the hands of individuals outside of this country not to mention SS#, etc. IMO that particular issue among others I have listed should be a legitimate cause for concern....
I think majority of negative comments start when work is low and
they start looking for another job. I, for one, would rather be too busy and have to work an extra hour or 2 than not to have any work. Overhiring is the death of all of us, since we do not have a guaranteed income unless you are a team leader or hourly employee.
Failure to pay on time is another large problem that will produce negative comments.
If companies were actually above-board with the problems at their company before the hiring process is completed, a lot of this could be avoided.

In other words, you cannot have technical problems one day, decide to run errands the next, and then the 1 day out of 3 you decide to work there is very low work and you cannot get your lines in they will call and/or send an e-mail asking why. I have reread my posts and truly do not believe I slammed anybody. When a person stands behind a company and recommends it to a newbie (especially on a board where newbies come to seek information), they should at least know the general reputation of the company rather than just spewing out a recommendation of what can only very loosely be called a company and is, in fact, an outright scam. If you are going to step up to the plate and recommend something, those reading your recommendation have the right to know what you base that recommendation on. I merely wanted to know if she was affiliated with this company. I think that, given her post, it was a legitimate thing to ask. I never in my life have seen a recommendation for TranSCAM but I have had to listen to many people (normally poor women who lost money not easily replaced) bemoan the fact that they had been ripped off by them. Had I been stumping for TranSCAM, I would have expected to have the same questions asked of me. This is the adult world; we deal with facts as well as feelings. Not giving people misleading and potentially harmful information truly is part of the Golden Rule. I would not want someone to lead anyone I know and love into the scam of TranSCAM, nor would I want to lead anyone else there. Have a nice weekend.
Need a foot pedal
I need a foot pedal. Could anyone tell me what I need to look for when I purchase one. The ones I have looked at on the internet are between $125 and $200. I would like to find one that is less expensive.
