Actually, that is about the going rate around here. I am in the Northeast and in-house pay is anywhere from $18-$25 per hour.
Good Luck!

100,000/year - no way. I charge $35/hour and work 10 hour days - sm
AND I DO NOT CLEAR $100,000/YEAR.
what's not to believe - I said that I charge $35/hour and work 10 hour days AND DO NOT MAKE - sm
I DO NOT MAKE $100,000/YEAR
try READING the post.
$35/hour x five 10-hour days = $1,750 gross/week.

$20 an hour is not even average for radiology. You should not make less than $25-30 per hour. sm
I work for Keystrokes and have for 3 years. I average 25 reports an hour, which is $31.25 an hour. I have 401, health insurance, direct deposit, life insurance. My lead tells me I'm wonderful when I talk to her, but I do not need a daily pat on the back.
I also have a good friend who works for them on a clinic. She only makes 0.08 per line but does 300 lines an hour, which is $24 an hour, again higher than your $20.
I don't think we're selling ourselves short. There are companies out there that are good to work for, 6 or 8 of them that I know of personally. Don't settle for $20 an hour.
Well if I could do 500 lines per hour, I would be making 35.00 an hour. sm
nothing to sneeze at. More than fair for having a 2-year degree. Come on people, we are all acting like we expect 6-digit incomes! Whatev!
Northeast (NTI)
I work for Northeast. Great people, great pay for Northeast area, great work and always lots and lots of work -- Pay is ALWAYS on time. NO SCHEDULE. They are very very flexible as long as you let them know in advance of days off. Other than that on a day-to-day basis, they are extremely flexible. Strict but fair and no complaints here! Good luck!
Happy MT
Northeast
I really don't know...all I know is that I have to give them a general idea of what hours I want to work and that is it ....days, nights, how many hours, etc. Very flexible.
They are always getting new clients..perhaps one of them needs to have someone there for certain hours.
Northeast
It was Tennessee
There's another one out there, I think it's Northeast - sm
Transcription, that snottily says something to the effect of, Residents of (?) and California need not apply.
My guess is they prefer applicants from the parts of the country with a lower cost-of-living. Smacks of discrimination, if you ask me.
Northeast Transcription
Does anyone have any information on this company? I can't seem to find very much.
Northeast transcription
You mean after all that testing only 7 to 8 cent on a 70 character line.
Northeast Transcription
Has anyone that applied for the radiology positions heard anything from the company yet? TIA
Northeast Transcription
Don't bother to give it more time. THey are not worth it. See posts from 9/24 regarding this company.

Anyone work for, or have you ever worked for Northeast Transcription. Just applied. Any information would be appreciated.
Wonder why Northeast Transcription
says residents of California need not apply? That's strange
I worked for Northeast-
No complaints. Had an excellent traning program and excellent dictators. The only reason I quit is I am an IC and like to stay that way-Don't like to be tied to a full-time schedule
Northeast Transcription
Anybody work for this company that could provide some info on them?
Northeast Transcription
I would highly recommend this company. I went through their testing process and interview process and was excited to be starting with them. However, they don't have the proper credentials to do business in my state. So instead of just wishing me on my merry way, they have gone above and beyond the call and have passed on my test scores and information to another company they are familiar with. A company that has wonderful staff like Shannon and Terry would be awesome to work for!
I worked for Northeast
for about 7-8 months. Have no complaints. Just didn't like having to stick to a schedule
Northeast Transcription
Does anyone know anything about Northeast Transcription. Is their work straight transcription of ASR. Anyone know what platform they use and anything about pay?
Northeast Transcription Inc.
Wondering if anyone could give more information about them. Not a lot on here about them. I just had an interview, and I think I like them, but would like real world experience from people working for them. How is the platform, the expander, are they flexible, easy to get the 1100 lines in an 8 hour day, etc.? Any help either here or to my email would be GREAT!
TYIA!
Northeast Transcription

Any new info about Northeast? Pay? Platform? QA?
Archives are showing no new info since about 2006, was wondering how things were now. How is the platform? From archived info I see pay was 7-8 cpl for 70 character line, which I'm not thrilled about but I love Psych so tough decision for me personally. Any info on QA would be great if anyone knows. TIA!!
Any info on Northeast Transcription?
I tried the archives, but northeast and transcription brings up a lot of stuff that has nothing to do with the company. Thank you
info on Northeast Transcription Inc
Hi. Does anyone have any information on NTI? Thinking of making a change and would like to know what to expect. Thanks!
I worked for both Amphion & Northeast
I retired last year. I worked for both very briefly. Northeast was good but I was planning to retire and stayed only a few months for that reason. It was a good company.
I can't say the same thing about Amphion. Maybe people who know the right people or who have been there a long time had better luck but I was on the infamous demographic account where you cannot make any money. If you are happy with the demographics thing and don't mind working for low pay it is a good company to work for but I never could get beyond feeling like I was just wasting time with the demographics. The better accounts that don't require doing that go to the people who have seniority. I stayed with Amphion for a couple of months and had to bow out gracefully. They were nice people though.
Am researching Northeast Transcription. Anyone with them now? sm
Old posts were negative, newer ones are positive. Wondered about insurance cost, flexibility of schedule, etc. TIA.
Anyone work for Northeast Transcription?
Positives? Negatives? Flexible with schedules? Decent pay? Someone else posted asking similar question on 09/24/2007, but it doesn't look like anyone responded.
any info on Northeast Transcription?
Northeast Transcription: Anyone currently working here? sm
If so, please give me some feedback about this company. Thanks very much.

Opti-Script versus Northeast Transcription Inc.
I have interviewed with each place, and have some likes and dislikes about each. Does anybody out there work for either, or know about either that would help me make a decision? I am leaving Spheris and am concerned about jumping from the frying pan into the fire, so anyone out there that knows anything I would certainly appreciate your 2 cents or more!
Thank you all so much for this board, it has helped me a LOT over the very confusing and frustrating few weeks!
TIA!
It depends on what part of the country you live; here in the Northeast sm
it is $18-$23 per hour.
Need opinions. I am part of the Northeast region of MQ or New York and we have been told that they
want to keep all the accounts so I assume that means all the NE Region within one hour of being out of work and out of work every night or caught up. Now I ask you where does this leave the MTs. I am speaking of acute care accounts with TAT of 12, 24 and 48 hours. Our offifce accounts are already complaining of poor quality work coming back to them because of just everyone being thrown into them to get the work done so I guess to accomplish this ridiculous obssessive 1 hour complete work situtation they will lose accounts and quite obviously MTs as running that close to complete in my option will run us continuously out of work into backups and of course then we are watched for how much of our work goes to QA etc. Does this seem like a no win situation. ASR has picked over all the accounts already also on DQS. I can see looking around very soon depending on how this situation plays out. Is this idea crazy or is it normal.
Any personal experiences with Northeast Transcription; good, bad or ugly?nm
xx
