DSG is a good company. The sound quality is good sm
but I don't understand why they are hiring. In the a.m. was have NO work. The afternoon and evenings do have more work though.

and as long as they have people who volunteer to work holidays, they won't have to make rules about it.
I work for DSG now and the sound quality is just fine sm
now that they are not doing MQ subcontracting.
However, I'm wondering why they are hiring. Of course all companies want their reports back in the right TAT but why do they always have to over hire? I am sure they want weekend and night coverage. That's a problem I think with any company. Even at MQ we are being asked to change our working hours to afternoon, evenings and weekends.
I like ChartMatrix. Sound quality is fine. Not sure what problems they used to have...sm
but things are working fine for me.

Personally, DSG is a good fit for me. Pay is good and on time, sound quality depends on the account
and I like the platform. There is not much weekend work, although sometimes is available. I get along well with the management, no major complaints. There is pay incentive once you get over a certain number of lines in a pay period. I work as an IC, so can't help with benefits, insurance questions, etc.

I am about to leave. The QA department is horrible, tired of being harrassed on my days off, server constantly down, cannot get a straight answer from management, technical staff have no knowledge.

I think that this company is fine and that
people are going to like any company or dislike any company depending on their point of view. Being new I just want to say that speakign for myself, the managers here simply expect what the person agrees to in the interview, and also does not expect anything which any other company does. I don't know if newbies or oldies are badmouthing but the fact is each person has their own take on an experience. I for one have found they say what they mean and they mean what they say.
I'm sure they're a fine company, but
with little kids at home and starting college classes in January to get out of this dying field my big worry is the employee status. I can't punch a timeclock. I'll look for a new job before that happens. I'm sure all their management is good and it is a decent company, but for me it comes down to employee status and set schedules. Can't do it.

employees? I really feel sorry for MTSO's in this day and age of constant bashing. They simply can't win. If they try to do something nice and creative, they get bashed. If they don't, they get bashed. How 'bout giving them a break and going back to the rock you crawled out from under?

for SS, but she was my supervisor at Edix. She could be a pain in the behind, but she was fair and also fairly honest, which is more than supervisor, and everyone else, now at Spheris.

I did not know they outsourced to India. No wonder they are paying the Transcriptionist so darn cheap. People in India can live off making very low pay. I better look elsewhere. Thanks for your advice.

and I do not believe it is just one MT...surely the company has at least a couple skilled MTs. TAT is the name of the game and is what keeps every one having work.

Why don't these companies realize that good sound quality is
essential for transcribing. If the big bosses had to listen to the scratches and static for hours on end, day after day, maybe this wouldn't happen, but most of them don't even know what a foot pedal and headset are. I find that the sound quality from the internet files are far worse than anything I ever encountered on DVI, C-phone, or Lanier systems telephone systems.
Only good thing I have heard lately is that a friend of mine, also an MT recently filed for disability based on hearing loss and/or inability to hear the files that she was required to do and won the case for total disability. She does have some hearing loss, but when she took her computer to the hearing and dialed in and had the adjudicator listen, there was no question that she would never be able to continue in this line of work. Maybe a few more workman comp cases would wake them up.

did you transfer from Foxboro. I wont stay there if they take me off my accounts. How is the quality with putting people on all these accounts. It is my understanding all the NE offices will be working out of Amherst fairly soon. What a fiasco that sounds like it will be. How long do you think this will last until all the good MTs move on if that office contines to do that.

doctors dictate into a recorder and put in on the system.

Get a backbone and call that bluff. These guys are BIG business and business saavy - they know the supply of services far out weighs the demand, and they are smart enough to play that game. You need to be smart enough and strong enough to NOT ante up and fold like that.

The reason I am sure these are NOT Trolls...
Because, honestly, this is they way they treat their MTs! It rings so true. They recruit VERY HEAVILY and go through MTs more than any other MTSO I have been with. That's why you see all these other MTs posting their negative experiences with SS.
They are trolls, just out to to antagonize.
They are common on the internet, and should just be ignored at all times. It was a very obvious troll post. Now that it had died down, it certainly will start up again by posting again about it. Please just let it go away. The only thing that should have been done is that the moderator should have removed the whole thread. That's what moderators are for. Legit posts get deleted all the time, but they leave this crapola sitting here.
