If you like a great work environment - Amphion is it!

I could talk for hours about the wonderful attitudes and great hours and references and supervisors...but suffice it to say that Amphion has been a blessing for the 2-1/2 years I've been with them.
I work M-F, can take off early for football games or doctor appointments, as long as I get it in before the pay period is up (and it's approved, can't just leave the computer, obviously). They have study groups for CMT, a message board, IM is always available for questions/problems, the IT department is top notch and friendly, trainers are a dream, the work is always there and your account does happen to run dry, there's plenty of other accounts to keep you busy.
They're a dream come true. I've been with 5 other companies (national and private) and I honestly never see myself leaving Amphion. It's like a 2nd family - and they really cares about you.
Good luck in your decision - if you decide to come to Amphion, WELCOME! :)
And wherever you choose - congratulations!!

Amphion is a great company to work for!
Great accounts, I have one primary that keeps me busy. The people are great to work with.
I agree. In a normal work environment, not only
would we be making more money, but they'd be supplying our electricity, internet, computers, headphones, etc. MTSOs are raking in the bucks while we're struggling to just barely get by, and then they want to whine about how big their profit margin is! Puhleeze! Get rid of some of your assistants, HR personnel, and mid-management if you want to increase your profit. Don't take it out on the MTs who are actually earning you money at their own expense!
I'm with them. Good work environment, easy accounts and I'm making really good money. nm
Current Amphion employee...I'm very happy. The part of Amphion I work with has no faxes, lists,s
minor demographic work..superb QA and feedback. Fellow MTs on same account are more than willing to help and now they also have mentor program. My pay is what they said. They do have different pay for different levels.
Amphion, so far, so great...:)
I have to say, so far, I have never been as impressed with another company, transcription or otherwise, nor have I been treated as well, it almost seems to good to be true. Of course, everything always seems great in the beginning, but I truly was blown away compared to where I was, even when I think back to beginning with the other company and I thought THAT was good...in fact, I feel undeserving at this point, lol.
I really believe they are sincere, and they have bent over backwards for me, to the point that I felt I couldn't repay them in three lifetimes, lol. I was so skeptical and almost paranoid at first because of previous experience, but they've done everything they said they would.
They offer flextime, downtime for computer problems/meetings/conferences etc., and most importantly, they are very supportive and positive interpersonally, which spurs me on to want to do my best for them in return, not take advantage of it (which is what I think some companies fear if they employ these types of policies.)
There are incentives for quality, which I believe is an essential component that is too often overlooked nowadays. I've never understood why this isn't pushed as a competetive edge over the competition much, anyway, but I guess I see why productivity is more important. A good balance has always been my preference.
There is a fairly thorough testing site, and a skill-level stratification based on QA scores and productivity levels that are taken on a regular basis...not arbitrarily based on how well you kiss booty or make your manager look by working out of your shift to do it. Management either have been or currently are transcriptionists, which is comforting.
Heavy on the self-starting skillls needed here, and a little iffy on the communication in the beginning, but this quickly cleared and was partly my fault. Make sure you send all training info cc-ed to all trainers to that you're all on the same page.
Oh, and as for the equipment, I received my computer ASAP and it's brand new, 20 dollars per month. There is QuickLook, Stedman's, and the AAMT BOS already installed for you on the desktop.
The only problem I foresee might be workflow at some point (if everyone jumps to them now), but in my opinion, that happens at times anywhere and can't be predicted. I was never bothered by lack of work flow much anywhere, unless it went on for an eternity. (I used to be self-employed, talk about famine at times.)
All companies are not all the same, girls and guys, that's bull ya tell yourself to keep you in the comfort zone. You are not spoiled just because you realize that your experience and skill level, after an appropriate amount of time, might be worth a little something after all, and you should find a company that will tell you so...IF you are truly doing what you say you are and not making excuses when you haven't given it your best.
Make sure to ask for what you NEED, not what you WANT...be reasonable...but don't settle for less than what you truly need to survive on.
If I change my mind down the road, I'll be sure and let you know, but so far, so great.:)
Good luck to you and go get 'em.:)
Amphion is great, but the pay is (sm)
average. I look at it like this: I would much rather have average pay and easy cheesy accounts and make $25 an hour rather than 10 cpl and get lousy accounts with being lucky to get my lines in.
AMPHION IS GREAT
I don't know why you guys think Amphion is so bad. I've never had a problem. Not with my supervisor, QA, management, IT or anyone else.
I hear Amphion is great.
I hear they are mainly clinic transcription but I don't know.
s/l Amphion to me. Great bunch and then some!!
Bless them:)
Wow! That's great....I think I just moved Amphion
to the top of my list! Thanks!!
Great pay rate on a 55 ccl, great lady to work for and work is not tough. sm
It is all IC work, although you still are expected to give a schedule if you are doing stat coverage. Only major drawback is the big wait for your first check -- almost a month from the time of your first invoice.
Good luck!
And, Indian owned. Not a good working environment.
Worse than Focus or Transcam.
Because in a production environment, the MT will generally produce a significantly higher number of
lines per day.
You are pathetic! I have a great life, loving family, work for a great company.
You might want to fix that.
You really don't have to shout (angry person), but yes you are wrong!!
That is my last word to you!
I will add that getting a great pay check every other Friday from Medware really puts a huge smile on my face.
YOG - Lots of work, great office staff, great money. NM
.
It's a great company -- lots of work and great pay. sm
Web site is www.mditrans.net. If you need anymore info, feel free to ask.
Amphion always has work. nm
Amphion work
There is tons of work, but their new account absolutely stinks as far as inputing a lot of data in the headers which you are not paid for.
Does Amphion have SE work?
x
Believe me, Amphion is NOT out of work.
Maybe just one person on one account. If that one account runs out, there are plenty more accounts there. All anybody has to do is speak to their supervisor.
I work for Amphion right now...sm
What do you want to know specifically? I like it most of the time. I don't think it's any worse than anything else out there. You have to stick to your schedule daily but you get to set it on your own when you start, not just taking what shift they want to assign to you, so that part is nice. Pay is always on time, direct deposited.
Anyone work for Amphion?
I tried to search MTStars for it, but can only find postings from 2005. Any new info would be helpful. Is their pay competive? Do they offer equipment, and what kind of platform do they use? Do they have any VR? TIA!!
Anyone work for Amphion? Would like to know if you are
happy there. How does the cpl compare with other companies? Workload? PTO? etc.
Anyone work for Amphion? Would like to know if you are
happy there. How does the cpl compare with other companies? Workload? PTO? Flexibility? etc. I posted this same message a week or so ago and got no response. Do any Amphion employees even use this board?
You must work at Amphion
bah
Amphion has lots of work
I would very much like to talk with you and offer my assistance regarding your concerns of overhiring and lack of work. Something must be amiss and I would like to solve your dilemma yet today. We have lots of work, are still recruiting cream of the crop MTs, and pride ourselves on treating our team members fairly.

Have things gotten better at Amphion? Is there work now? nm
s
I've never been without work at Amphion!
??
I currently work at Amphion and would have to agree...
with what was said about the demographic information. I have been there for a few months--looking again---, and I find that the demographic information required is overwhelming after a while. I usually can do AT LEAST 250 and even 300 lines per hour, but with this company, I have only been able to get to 180-200 lph no matter how hard I try. They do have a lot of residents also. As far as being flexible--not really for me. I also think the pay scale is a bit low--not even 8 cents per line.
Amphion is mostly clinic work. NM
NM
I love Amphion & never run out of work
.
If you work for Amphion please read
I think my post got lost in the shuffle down below. Pleeeeeze somebody I need an answer. Just email me if you like.
Can anybody tell me how long it took you to get up to production speed at Amphion. I have been here three months and still nowhere close to where I was at at MQ. I can't go back to MQ, too much going on there. I need to get another job or get parttime somewhere unless somebody can tell me that I can get up to where I need to be. I have alot of experience but this platform and demographic stuff is killing me. TIA
Amphion Work Load/QA
I have never been on these chats before but in checking all of them out I am in quite disbelief. I see people complaining about having to do OT and QA issues if you have a bad QA. Are you seriously kidding? You have a job at home, a computer given to you, and you are there if your kids need you, are sick, etc. You don't pay for gas, don't have to worry about the weather, or OT at an actual office. Most people out there are looking for a good company and now people are complaining about having too much work. This is a first for me because in my situation I always have bills, things cropping up for school and X-mas coming up as do most people I know. Remember what do you have and how good you do have it.
Great people to work for, but I had to leave due to lack of work. Hopefully that has changed. SM
Most of us who do not live in California had to go IC. When I was there, they did not have statutory status, although they told me they did when they hired me. Their pay for VR is VERY low, not a living wage. Many of the folks in the office are ex-YOG and great to work for/with. Good luck.
1200 lines daily is great if you have the work, personally, I never had enough work so
I left and have NEVER been sorry!
Can anyone fill me in on what type of work Amphion has?
Is it a lot of ESL, and if so how bad/good are the accounts they have?
Must be on a different account than I am - i've never run out of work with Amphion!
.
Why are you working 60 hours, when you can work 40 at Amphion?
Just curious as to why you would continue to work 60 hours a week, if you can work 40 hours at Amphion and make more money? Why have you not gone full time with Amphion? Again, just curious. I do not want to start anything.
I agree - Amphion's the best company to work for
f
I don't work at Amphion but it's amazing that they expect
nm
Amphion just seemed like a good place to work
I don't like to job hop and between the 2 Amphion seemed better but I have misgivings now and afraid I will be let go. Do they let people go if they don't meet the line requirements?
Webmedx fits that bill, great company, great benefits, great pay and always on time. NM
,
Amphion doesn't make you work weekends
or nights. They're a great company, and I hear they're hiring.
I work at AMphion part-time and make as much there in 20 hours as I do at my FT job in 40
.
Great place to work. LOTs of work and (sm)
as the other poster noted, somewhat flexible. Make your lines and they pretty much leave you be. Communication is great, QA is great. The platform is extremely easy. There's plenty of work to go around and then some.
Amphion's nonpay work of data entry is discussed with every post
nm
Great company, great boss, great account!!!nm
x
10 cpl? That's great. And I'd rather have too much work...sm
than to run out of work. I'd gladly work weekends to make 10 CPL.
It's great you are doing so well. Are you doing all work
nm
I work there now and they are great. sm
Pay is always accurate, on time thru direct deposit. Emdat is a little strange to get used to, but not that bad. I think they'd like 300 lines a day minimum, but you need to check on that. Its 150 LPH required though. Hours are flexible as long as you tell them what you want and stick to it. They are wonderful ladies and I'd never leave if I didn't have to due to tax issues in my state. Give them a try.
And they are GREAT to work for! nm
