you have been doing this for a long time and don't need references, I think you should sit and think about that statement for a bit before you try to get another transcription job.

References are necessary, whether you have been doing this for 1 year or 40 years.  Research skills are necessary.  The problem you had with KS is going to be the same problem you have with all of these companies--you simply cannot type out what you think you are hearing all day long and expect to keep a job.  Add to that a person with a lot of personal problems and attendance issues and that equals someone no one wants to keep.
