If it involves Earthlink I'd think twice.

I have Earthlink and tried to use their TruVoice service, though Vonage wasn't involved to my knowledge. I never could get their equipment to work, spent hours on the phone with India. Couldn't get calls from U.S. tech. I was so frustrated I just told them to send me a label to mail the equipment back. Sent it back within a week of initiating service. Three weeks later they billed me for equipment and I have yet to get a refund despite them saying they would.
Overall I have no problem with Earthlink as an ISP provider, but all customer service/tech support is in India and extremely frustrating to deal with.

Earthlink
I've used Earthlink now for awhile. Never have had any problems. I actually have cable internet through them, which uses the Time Warner Cable gateway. Haven't had any trouble with the TruVoice either. I had Embarq before that and was very disappointed with them, which I know a lot of other people that just love them. I think it is somethat that you just have to decide to try or not because everyone will have their own opinion, which we all know is not the same for everyone.
see if earthlink is available in your area....sm
I live in an area that not too much is available, but was able to get cable internet through earthlink, although i have satellite tv, and they have phone available too. It's $19.95 for the first 6 months then goes to $24.95. Unlimited calling, caller id, and voicemail is included. They also have DSL internet available too.
Be careful with Earthlink. I have them and
tried to get service through them but it wouldn't work. Their service also goes through your computer, whereas digital phone doesn't, so if you have anything happen to slow down your internet speed it will effect your phone.
I spent 3 days talking with people in India to resolve my issue and what a major headache. All I should have had to do was plug in 2 plugs and it should have worked but it didn't.
I went with my cable internet provider and they actually have someone come to your house and set everything up. So much nicer than having to deal with offshore customer service. My ISP is Earthlink, although Time-Warner actually provides the service.
That's because they don't think it involves them.
Wait til it DOES. Then ask 'em again.
For sure that's done out here! Especially if testing involves 6,7, or 8 files.

Depends if it involves selling, bothering - sm
all your friends, family, friends of friends, etc. then NO. It is is something that is done at home or in an office w/o cold calls, etc., again no selling, then yes. My neighbor got sucked into a demo of that cookware that is so great but super expensive, something in the base, forget the name, needless to say she did not get into it, it was crazy what they expected you to do and foot the bill for as well. -- Personally I hate selling and obviously do not have an apptitude or attitude for it.
If your "effort" involves putting people down
because they have to continue to work a job to support and feed their family, even though the company has questionable ethics, then, yeah, go ahead and stop your efforts! That doesn't help anyone!
Anything Global or International prolly involves India or Philippines. nm
