I am an IC with a private Humana policy as well.  I pay $65 monthly for myself and 1 child.  This is a high-deductible policy ($4,000) with an HSA, then 100% coverage after deductible.  It includes 1 free annual exam each plus basic labs yearly.  I also have some type of minimal prescription benefit, but I don't recall what it is at the moment.  So far, it has been great for us.  We also do not have any health problems (thanks God), so we are able to have a high-deductible plan.

I'm an IC and have private Humana coverage
It's $99.05/month for just me. This includes $35 copay for dr visits ($50 specialist visits), $1535/55 Rx, depending on what level the medication is, $75 copay for ER visit. It's a PPO. The only really bad thing is that there is a $2000 deductible, but that's only if I have to be in the hospital and hopefully that won't happen. I'm 29, have never had a lapse in insurance and have no health problems though. You can go to ehealthinsurance.com and compare rates for private insurance if you're interested.
No, not Humana. It's First Health. Pretty good coverage.
