I would strongly advise you to reconsider

Please read all the archives here... too much to mention and the messages tend to get removed by the administrator because they are so bad. In a nutshell extremely unqualified management in most cases, promote friends and newbies to positions like team leads and QA, inconsistent and wrong QA half the time, on and on and on. Please don't bother with them. I promise you that you'll regret it if you do. Please read the archives here.

you should reconsider
You really don't want to work for this company. Very low pay, ridiculously high line count requirement.
I hope you reconsider...
These people are total idiots. Really. And, NO, I am NOT GP!! What I am is a person who is sick and tired of these vicious morons targeting one intelligent and thoughtful person who dares to speak up. Enough!! Really. I still suspect this person has something to do with TT. Over the last few months, the whole atmosphere there has changed. So, this would fit right in with that.
I always enjoy your posts. I hope you don't let these fouls silence you.
I strongly disagree with you.

Strongly disagree. Maybe 17% but not 27% for sure!

strongly disagree
and I'm not a newbie at radiology either
Strongly disagree
First of all, yes, they bought M-Tec -- now -- why would a company buy a school? I wonder what they pay students to do transcription. If one has 200 transcriptionists and buys a company with 100 students....how would the transcription be divided? Would they give the hardest transcription to the students?
Sorry, that's good to know. I was told strongly by MQ

I strongly agree and am not a recruiter either
specialty, then you will not have a problem with radiology. Radiology usually consists of a lot of normals (templates) and also like the other poster says redundant terms.
It's funny because my first MT job was radiology, and then I expanded into other diagnostic areas and learned some acute care along the way being in a hospital!
If you were my daughter, I'd strongly recommend SM
you go for it. Furthering one's level of education is an extremely wise move for anyone, you're ultimately setting a good example for your children, and a degree in nursing can be taken many directions, including right back home to type for a while if needed (but the Walmart option so many here seem to seriously consider will never need to be among them!).
Not recruiter but I do feel very strongly
you do not have the ability to be a transcriptionist, do not think you have the background, think you are evasive with your answers and think you are trying to appear such but don’t have the background training nor the job training. You said the first group very localized to acute care but you had trouble with other specialities and acute care is just that, all specialities. I think you are just blowing smoke to tell you the truth.
I strongly DON'T recommend Softscript
to anyone. Maybe they seem so good to you because MQ was so bad, but that doesn't mean they're good compared to other companies ;)
I strongly disagree; Transcend cares a lot for its employees
If you do not want to play the game, just ignore the e-mails. Or, you may find another company is better for you. No sense being miserable.
More than likely, I would advise you to
Of course, I don't know specifics about your current situation, but the other poster has pretty muched nailed it in summing up nationals. Any chance your current job would let you work from home? That would probably be your best bet.
Good luck to you!
My advise would be to get out of there
Any company that does this is dishonest, and they are not a place you want to work for. I have worked for a lot of companies, some not so great ones, but none of them ever did this. There are much better companies out there who will not screw with your line counts and will leave you alone to do your work. Good luck!
No but thanks for the advise- I will (nm)

I don't have any advise but I too

Need your advise
Is it easy to make good Line count working on OP notes? I have been offered a position to work on OP notes. I have some experience with OP notes. So, just wanted to know if I can make a decent Line count with it? Appreciate any help.
years ago (2001?) someone strongly steered me away from TRX Portland...she hated it. But that's h

I would advise you to post
your resume on the MTstars resume bank, which is linked at the top of the Job Seekers board. State exactly what you're looking for, then let the little MTSOs come to you. The smaller MTSOs generally do not post job ads because they get overwhelmed with hundreds of unqualified applicants. Good luck with it!
Good advise - Thank You! nm

I think they are working for the companies they advise us against!!
I am beginning to think they are working for the companies they advise us against so we won't take their work !!
OK - I'll wait - thanks for the advise! nm

I wouldn't advise anyone to work there! It was...sm
sure not my cup of tea. Platform is FN, which I didn't find production oriented, and I wasn't crazy about their accounts, either. We parted after 3 days!
Thanks so much for the wonderful advise. I accepted the position.

Just to advise, that company does not have access to MTStars

advise is a verb - advice is a noun
Just because a word is in spell-check does not mean it has been used properly. Advice is a noun, i.e., I need your advice. Advise is a verb, i.e., I advise you to learn proper grammar. This is basic elementary school grammar.
I would advise anyone doubting the validity of the lawsuit
To go back into the archives, at least 6-10 weeks, and check out GPs posts regarding why the work was low at TT and its direct correlation to Dictaphone. While this may not on the surface appear slanderous, it was presented as being fact, not opinion. If her assumptions about TT and Dictaphone were incorrect, and TT can prove this, it is indeed libel. I don't know GP and I enjoy her posts. I'm just a realist/fatalist and see things in black and white most of the time. I'd say it about myself had I left myself wide open and vulnerable.
As for the the unnamed 'Jane Does,' perhaps one of those is that person who types in all caps and says TT 'steals' work from their MTs, 'frauds' the line counts, etc. IMHO, that IS libelous and quite damaging to a company's reputation. What scares off an MT more than the thought of being cheated on their lines or having the good dictators' reports 'cherry picked' by the leads, leaving them with the dung no one else wants?
I'm sure I'll be flamed for my opinions, and frankly I don't care. Libel is what it is; presenting something as fact when it is not fact, and if the person/entity can prove otherwise, they most assuredly have a very good lawsuit.
I am very sorry GP is going through this and I wish her well; however, I cannot condemn TT for taking legal action if she was posting erroneous information as first-hand knowledge of fact.
Freedom of speech is one thing; passing on inaccurate information as fact is an entirely different ballgame.
I got to be paid on time every two weeks or I'm outta there! Just my advise
Advise is in SpellCheck. So maybe you should have suggested Proofing Ms Grammar Police.

Good for you, if that is true. It is really a losing game. Wouldn't advise anyone to pursue it.
You have to lie a lot, wouldn't you agree? It is all bait and switch for the recruiters. They promise a lot, but the companies do not follow through. Care to say who it is you are a hiring manager for? LOL. Never heard it called that before.
