I would move on. Wouldn't even worry about the pedal.

If they contact you for training, tell them you are extremely busy etc.

Don't worry. Next week, the bitter people will move on to attacking another company. It is just
you watch this board, you will see a pattern. One a week. Have to shred the reputations of good companies to bits just to feel good about being unhappy in general. I wonder sometimes if these people job hop constantly, even work at all, or work for the company they are bashing. Maybe it's just sick fun for those with no outside lives :)
I wouldn't worry about it
I think it's okay to read them even if you do not do housework. (LOL)
Oh, by the way -- not all housewives do housework either! (LOL)
I wouldn't worry about it
The thing is, they are great to work for. Don't concern youself with what if just deal with that if it were to ever happen. We have seen lots of MTSO swear they would never sell, yet money talks so you just never know.
I wouldn't worry too much about it....sm
eScription means about 90% VR and 20% typing IF you get 20% at all, may be 0% typing. ...VR on eScription sucks......have to kill yourself to make a decent line count and even editing 2500 lines at 0.03 cpl is ONLY $75. When I see eScription in any job ad, I just pass it up cause I know what they want MORE VR and LESS or NO transcribing.
no harm -- I wouldn't worry too much about it
the mod will take care of it. just try to remember -- anonymity is the key.
I know exactly who the poster was talking about. If you aren't her, I wouldn't worry about it.
I worked with someone at a company that starts with an F who now works for TTS and oddly worked with that person both places (you know how small world the MT industry is). She is some kind of piece of mess and she drags misery with her everywhere --- that company, the TTS company and most definitely wherever she lands next. What you described is exactly what happened to that supervisor (who was just a team member at F company). Anyway -- it's obvious she thinks you are that person. If you aren't -- then why feed her fire?? If you are.... well then.....
I use my own foot pedal. It isn't an EMDAT pedal either, just a regular WAV pedal. nm

Only difference I've noticed is the DVI vs non-DVI pedal. Otherwise, regular Infinity pedal shoul

One way to look at what you are doing right now is more training only you are being paid for it; once you have a year or two under your belt as experience, you may be able to command a higher wage someplace else. It's funny, a place will pay more for someone with 2 years' experience than they will pay someone who has worked for them for 2 years! Go figure.
I wish people wouldn't be so encouraging. Then maybe we wouldn't constantly run

At my company I'd ask for $18; probably wouldn't get it, but I wouldn't go lower. nm

Why worry about it
If you know it wasnt you, why worry about it? Just let it go and then you cannot be accused of stirring the pot. You dont work there anymore so dont concern yourself with it. Just let it go so that it can be dropped.
Not to worry.......sm
this thread will be deleted the second Admin sees it.
You don't have enough to worry/think about, do ya?! LOL
Or are ya looking for a free meal through a lawsuit? LMAO
There ARE other factors at stake when hiring or not hiring employees other than where you live, dufus. Geez! LOL
Thanks for the laugh, though!
Don't worry, you probably won't either

Don't worry
I'm sorry that the OP is having a bad experience, but mine has been just the opposite and wanted you to know this. I never run out of work, quite the opposite actually. Also, I have found the management to be nothing less than professional and kind. Good luck in your decision.
not to worry...
it all depends on the account you are working on. I have 1 account where I can do 2000+ in 6 hours; but on my second account, I can't get anywhere near that.
Don't Worry...
I have known the lady that started this company from scratch and if anything, she is honest, reliable and dependable--she would let you know if something were wrong and/or if you were in need of worrying. They are a very talented team @ TransTech.
That's something I worry about...
I worked for a smaller company before and when the work dropped, it dropped like a rock. I am just stuck as to whether to accept the job or go with the larger national. This is for editing.
Don't worry
TTS pay is so bad that their employees are from the bottom of the barrel. No good MT would work for them, couldn't afford to, so no company is going to keep using TTS because of poor work quality.
Don't worry (sm)
My accounts were all out this morning, but they are picking up pretty fast. Yes, you can work a holiday even if you are not scheduled and still get time and a half for all typed.
Should I worry
The company I work for offered benefits. Employees signed up and no word on the benefits. Now an email stating the benefits are there and have been there and we will pay back for the previous month. There was no way to use the benefits without the information so what is a person supposed to do?
Don't worry
I'm so sorry to hear this, but try not to worry too much. I know, easier said than done when the bills start coming in. There are many, many jobs out there though, and I think you will find something even better. I left Amphion a while back and am very happy with my new employer. Start applying and don't give up! Good luck to you!
Do not worry! sm
There is more than enough work to go around. You will be fine, and welcome to the team!!
Don't worry - soon we will be saying, (sm)
There's too much work!! I don't even have time to do my Christmas shopping. I've been busy all week too.
They are looking for something you most likely should not worry about.
This is a criminal investigation which all hospitals conduct. They could also do a drug test anytime, you know. I do not believe they care about a normal person's skeletons. They are looking for stealing because we have their equipment mostly. I know because I have undergone these checks and worried too, but that was unfounded. Don't be silly and quit a place where you have worked for so long or that you like. They are not nosing in your past at all. They are simply contacting government agencies, etc. to see if there are outstanding arrests, etc. Now, if you are on the lam, well, then...
MT2, don't worry about it...
Their ads are good. If you aren't familiar with them, it is perfectly natural to think it's a great opportunity for some new person. I have never worked for them but I have heard over time how they use the new MTs and never give them a chance to earn any money.
Working inhouse is the nice coperate world... coming here is like coming to a street fight, a lot of sarcasm, got the claws out a lot. it is okay to research a company, look at the job board and maybe help out a newbie as you were trying to do but don't stay long enough to catch the sarcasm virus.:) Oops, my time is up. Gotta go...catch you later.:)
Oh I do worry....
And like I said, I help out when I can, but sometimes I just need my day(s) off. I don't know what else to do. I just cannot literally work every day of the week. I will work several days in a row, but it gets to a point where I need a break. I don't know what else can be done here except maybe offer an incentive for people to change their schedules to Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and have the rest of the week off. I think there are a few that would go for it and it would even out the coverage.
Not to worry because I don't think anyone would want to

Don't worry about it ....
It is just someone who is trying to create a stir on the board. Ignore them and hopefully they will go away peacefully.
You should worry. As more and more SM
goes to VR, the people who refuse are left with less work. The work that is left is awful, the fast Americans and the most unintelligible ESL.
Can't worry about the future right now...
My mortgage is not due in the future, it is due in the present. I cannot cut all my bills by 40% until Transcend figures it out so I have to make $ to pay my bills now--not later. Anyway--gotta go type for Webmedx, like I said. I have to pull myself away but will be back on later this evening. Good luck to all of you, and I truly wish you the best!!!!
Dont worry,
I never got a phone call, but got my packet today.
Don't worry about it. Those who really want/need jobs
Just be glad you figured it out now.
Don't you worry about us, Holly!

Worry about your own attitude
MTs raises, bonuses, TV-habits and/or chat room time are between her and her supervisor and none of QAs business. And if MTs want to share on an MT board their positive or negative, past or present work experiences/pet peeves that's also no business of QAs and neither is it their place to ''approve'' or ''disapprove'' with their condescending nasty tirades. Get off your own behind, worry about your own nasty attitude, and go ''check'' something.
Worry about quality - not LPH
I know of a girl who can type triple the number of reports as other MTs, but it is obvious that she does not proof read her reports because they are full of major errors. That could be detrimental to patient care. If you're fast and accurate that's great, but you need to be concerned about quality above all. Once you are familiar with the dictators the speed will come.
If you have 90 days don't worry about it

Don't worry, be happy!
Sorry about the corny phrase. No, I don't think yo have anything to worry about. They wouldn't tell you you were hired and then just forget about you. It will probably show up today or tomorrow and be well worth the wait. I have been here since September, and just love the people there. I have absolutely no problems or complaints. Sorry to be another TT cheerleader, but it truly is a great company to work for. Good luck to you!
at least you don't have to worry about pesky

Don't worry about taxes
Contact your state attorney and see what they say. As for taxes, if they withheld them but DID NOT send them to Federal or state, as long as you had proof that they paid it, you can still count it when doing your taxes. They will go after the employer for what they withheld and did not pay to the federal and state. This has happened to me before and they went off my W2 forms and not what was actually sent in.
don't have to worry anymore, I am done at JLG nm

Please don't worry!! You will be fine!
Oh sweetie. My heart bleeds for you, and I wish I could give you a big hug, literally. DO NOT EVER WORRY ABOUT BANKRUPTCY. I have declared bankruptcy. I had to. No other choice. It was the bleakest period of my life. Stuff happens, and one day everything was fine, and then it wasn’t. Period. As well, my MT wages went down and down, went from being paid by the page to the line, had 3 babies at home, husband lost his job, and seemingly overnight, we hit rock bottom. No health insurance, you know the ropes. It has NEVER EVER impacted me negatively to date. I declared in 2002, I believe. I hate to even look it up, but within a year, I had built all my credit back up, and have been fine. Believe me, I was not fine then, emotionally. I have applied for jobs, had credit checks done, and never had 1 person turn me down for anything, EVER. Criminal background checks might be knocks against us, I would imagine. But I don’t have anything like that in my background. But being poor or going broke is NOT a crime in America. Don’t you EVER forget that, and just remember, right now you are in very good company. The # of people declaring bankruptcy is at a skyrocketing record high, including a large percentage of senior citizens now, so you are not alone, my friend. Just remember that, YOU ARE NOT ALONE, and you are NOT bad for this. You are getting a brand new fresh start on life, and hopefully you will use it well. Again, I have had probably 2 dozen job offers since I filed for bankruptcy, right along with credit checks, and I was offered every single job. I’m not a job hopper, so only took 1 or 2 in that time, but had every check run on me and passed with flying colors, bankruptcy or no bankruptcy. Not one question or comment was ever made. Don’t be ashamed. Don’t even think about it when interviewing. I speak from experience, and know it can really drag you down emotionally if you dwell on it, and you will. Hold your head high and concentrate on the positive side of finding a new job – don’t you worry 1 bit about credit reports impacting you. It will NOT. It will NOT, and the heart of our country is changing and realizing that most of us are in trouble financially. Bankruptcy is losing its horrible stigma in society, which is good. It is the most humiliating and difficult decision to make, and then you do suffer for a bit credit-wise, but the most awful thing was the humiliation. To this day, many family members are estranged from me because of how horrified they were at my decision. Mind you, I never asked for, or got, 1 cent of help from them. They just stood on their soap boxes and judged me for simple bankruptcy. I just wish I hadn’t wasted years of tears feeling so ashamed – you are NOT a bad person for it, and its not a bad thing all in all.
Don't worry about the new platform. It isn't bad, at least not

Don't worry about my issues...sm
and worry about YOUR attitude. Looks like you're taking it a bit too personally. I and we are entitled to our opinion, or are you the only one?
Another thing I have to worry
about is the fact that I have been treated badly by a few companies and can't use them as references. Also one company which I worked at for about 9 months and then gave me a check frozen by the bank is another I can't use as a reference. So, plenty of gaps!
Luckily I currently work for a great company. Shame these employers can't handle honesty and understand that there are companies out there who do not feel the need to treat their MTs well.
If they did understood the cost of turnover and training and the value of an employee or IC who had a certain amount of loyalty to that company, they would take a different approach.
Don't worry about it, that poster sm
will probably wind up working for a company like this and complaining and b______g about it when they aren't making any money and paying their own taxes and tied to a computer at SC status! Sounds like they are a new dog and won't get it for quite a few years. If they are an old dog (which I think is quite funny) they obviously they havne't gotten it yet and like being treated like a slave.
As for me, I will do my EXCELLENT transcription and laugh all the way to the bank!
DO NOT WORRY, NOT HAPPENING
I have worked on the same VR platform now for about 4 or 5 years. It has not learned (Escription, supposedly 1 of the best) what it should, I have to make countless number of corrections every single day and it goes from getting something right last year to a total hot mess this year. I am telling you, I know from experience. I have not changed accounts, not changed the platform, etc., etc. and I am NOT worried about the transcriptionists being phased out, not with the platform I work on. Right now it is taking so much time just to correct and it is very irritating. There is 1 physician that dictates operative reports. I do not care what his preop diagnosis is, his postop diagnosis is always chronic renal failure, whether he says it or not. Now really, why is this. It has been the same for all these years. I am telling you, it just don’t get it. It is NOT taking over our jobs. It cannot even start to do the first thing right loads of time. It does not have to be a foreign dictator, it can be with simple English and good dictators at that. You are worrying needlessly.
Does not matter at all to me, you worry about
how much you make, ok?
