simply because they are growing, they do both VR and typing, which is the wave of the future, you don't have to meet a daily line count, just a pay period amount. I'm worried SoftScript just won't be that flexible. I'm reliable and always work my shift, but I'm only human too, usually obtaining 98% or above, but as I said only human.

When MQ first took over our office in the early 90s, they had a trip every year for office managers and up. One year my manager when to Hawaii, one year it was Vegas. This is a common practice among all companies. I bet the companies that have accepted bail-out money even have these trips.

It totally sounds like an inside job. I can only speak for myself, but if I had found out that an employee of mine was shocked after finding out that a resignation letter had been sent and then finding out it wasn't even the employee's correct email, I would want to get to the bottom of it! It just seems like the VP wanted the poster out of there and was even fighting the proof she offered that it wasn't her email. Also, even if the poster did actually send a resignation letter (which I highly doubt), as VP I would have looked into the work history of this person and the years at the company and probably would have rescinded the resignation anyway. VP was just too eager to have her gone.

I stayed with the Q too long into the downslide. You are so right, it has a familiar smell. I cannot see myself doing that again. Just don't know if there are any more decent companies out there.

surprised to find that you are not asking the moon. Let me clarify a few things: Rates charged are not as high as 0.25 per line, but no one that has U.S. employees goes as low as 0.115 or they would not be able to pay their bills. A more realistic range is 0.125-0.165, and that top end is hard to find, most falling at 0.14-0.15 per line.
The rates of pay you propose are very reasonable IF the following is true: These are seasoned MTs who do not need a lot of hand-holding, QA or blanks filled in, unless a very difficult/impossible doctor.
How about a scale based on experience and accuracy of 0.09 - 0.105 per line (acute care), and $1.15-$1.30 per report (radiology)?
The VR one is tough as everyone, MTs and MTSOs and facilities are still feeling their way on this. As an MTSO who was an MT, I feel that VR editing is as difficult to do as regular transcription. I don't think that it should be substantially less pay or charged less as the end product is still the same.
Funny thing here? My company already follows that scale. We should work together, not at odds, to reinforce this industry and bring it back to where it should be, right here in the U.S.A. with a decent paycheck.

Their PTO is good. Lots of ESL's. I wasn't there long enough to see about a raise, but something after 120 days they were supposed to evaluate you for it. They always pay on time. Platform is very easy to learn.
I don't know about their line counting system. I don't trust it only because several times when I would send a job I would keep getting it back several times already typed by myself. I even got a report that was already fully typed from another person, I didn't take credit for it. Trust me, they wouldn't break or abandon a report that long it had no blanks and 1 QA marker. I didn't think it was right. I asked the WFC and she said to abandon it. I got that typed report back every time I would finish a job that day. So I dont know how often that happens, but I didn't like it.
Not trying to bad talk the place, everyone was very nice, nice doesn't cut it..when it comes to work, don't expect any, and don't expect anyone to get back to you about a second acount, plan on working all weekend every weekend.
I don't know about everyone else, but when I pick a schedule, I pick it for a reason, to work it.. not to work every day and every time but that. I don't mind it here and there, but it was EVERY SINGLE WEEKEND. Sayin how they are tired of always having the same people being team players.
They require one weekend day a week. I wasn't able to work any other time really than the schedule I picked
Anyways.. I worked 5 hour days there and I ended up with no more than 200 lines a day.
Might be different for you, but I'm just giving you my experience.
