Big difference between 2000 and 3000 lines per shift.
nm
I said that I do 1600+ per day. Most days, I am over 2500-3000 lines per day. 1600 is the personal
I do not work overtime except very, very occasionally. I use my Expanders and know my account inside out. It IS possible no matter how many people try to say that it is not. I rarely post here because I see people chopped to pieces when they say they make good money, no matter who they work for. It is as though only the negative voices are heard here.
i could do 2500 to 3000 on ER too
You have life in the easy lane... ER docs, the same 10-20 at most day in and day out.. Try basic 4 with antiquated platforms (meditech) and 2000-5000 dictators to try and get a handle on.
2500 to 3000 a month is not unreasonable. SM
I do about 2000-2500. It depends on the work type. I like OP notes (if I am fortunate enough to get them). ERs would be nice too, but haven't done those in years. I work for MQ.
I have made $2500-3000 for a national, but....
I have to work seven days a week 12-15 hours a day to do that and end up having no life and no benefits. I am giving this up and going to work for a local hospital. I know that at first I will not make the same, but it is worth it to me to go to work for 8 hours and be done instead of dragging it out up to 15 hours a day and not making that much less. Actually, over 8 hours in a hospital I do make more than working 8 hours at home. It makes me tired and grouchy and my family is tired of me being at home like that. I feel so much pressure every day trying to make a decent line count and it just takes too long. I want to get a life..
3000 lines at 3 cpl $90

First off, you need to get 3000 lines worth of work to make the money.  IF you manage to get 3000 lines worth of work to make 90 bucks per day, then you've had a good day.  Most do not have good days.  IF you can make 3000 lines within the 8 hours without compromising quality that's okay too, but IF you have to run audio at full speed and you’re listening to a chipmunk on speed, then that's not good for the doctor, the patient, or for you as a transcriptionist.

I almost forgot, Uncle Sam needs his cut of that 90 bucks and depending what state you live in.........he has a health appetite and takes a big bite out of it.  The one thing that gets me through the day these days is the joy of retirement within the next year and a half.

Is this consistent 3000 lines per day
I have hit 3200 lines on a secondary ER account, but not on a consistent basis because the work ran out.  This was also working overtime on a VERY easy account with very good normals.  It is my understanding that this account no longer exists.
I use DOS Meditech and get 2500 lines per day. sm
Use your Expanders for everything. Once you are used to it, it is as easy or even easier to get lines as any other program out there.

1800 lines is easily achieved. I average 300-340 lines per hour. nm

10 lines per minute = 1500 lines for 150 minutes - average. nm

I average 1200-1400 lines per day with a national, and am only getting around 600-800 lines per day.
It's been this way since the day before Thanksgiving. I've been doing this for almost 30 years now, and more often than from Thanksgiving until the new year is the slowest time of the year. I have some months where I am swamped with up to 2000 lines per day. I stash that little extra money, and take advantage of a handful of extremely slow days this time of the year to actually cook dinner, decorate for Christmas, or do Christmas shopping. I actually anticipate this slow time every year and have grown to enjoy the breathing time. Any time I have attempted to pick up extra work with another company to supplement these slow times, the minute I get adjusted to the new accounts, etc. I have no time to finish all of my work because my full time job with national gets slammed again. Hang in there if you can, and hopefully your work will pick up significantly around New Years.
Average lines
Did they happen to mention the average lines the other MTs were getting?
I average 300 lines an hour
but some days I do have to work over 8 hours to make it work because of things going on around the house, this will definitely disrupt things
AVERAGE LINES PER HOUR

Can anyone tell me what their average lines per hour are on speech recognition, such as escription or extext?

Medware - how many lines average?

Can anyone who works for Medware tell me what your average line counts are?  Can you get good line counts with them?

Thanks!!

What did your hourly lines average? sm
When you say you couldn't get your count up...how low was it, approximately? Must not have been worthwhile, huh?
How many lines per hour do you average?

Average of 1200 lines per day.
x
185 lines? The company I'm working for wants 250......what is the average???? Anyone???
Thanks!
150-170 lines per hour is pretty average.
Imagine that times 40%.  150 x 40% increase using an Expander is another 60 lines paid per hour.  At $.07 per line, it's the difference between $10.50 an hour at 150 lines or $14.70 an hour at 210 lines.  Work smarter, not harder.
Been here 4 months and average 250 lines per hour, sometimes 300.nm

How many lines do you average daily on eScription?
Doesn't matter where you work, how many lines do you average daily on eScription?
I average 1800-2000 lines a day on BeyondTXT.
nm
oh dear I average 350 lines an hour straight
typing! If that's the average for VR, then that's terrible!! I cannot express how insane that sounds to me!!!
1800 lines so far and have 3 more hours to go in my shift.
.
if you type 1500 lines plus per shift
with what seems to be the most popular company to work for.  I'm job looking. I do believe I may have to apply!  What's the difference between Meditech magic and Meditech XL?
been working a split shift for a month just to try to maybe get my lines in
Which is slowly draining the life from me. I can get their minimum NO problem at all if they provide steady work. However, it trickles in now and most of the time I have to wait between jobs for work. Also really tired of their dumb e-mails patting us on the back because everything is in TAT. Well, with not enough work and too many MTs, what do you expect?? I am heading for the way out pretty fast!
I work that, had TONS all day long, never ran low got to 1500 lines WITHIN my shift too. nm
nm
This is true. Shift does matter. I work 2nd shift and really have not had any issues with not havi
x
No one gets 3000 line a day!
No way!
3rd shift radiology can be like that. Feast or famine. Same with 3rd shift sm
ER work. Sometimes the doctors are too busy to dictate, so they do it at the end. Why don't you talk to them and ask about a different shift?
2500 deductible
Does this still have the 2500 deductible? Doesnt pay copays to doctor visits either?
3000 each day? Wish I was young again-LOL - good for you!
nm
Okay what is great money? $2000-3000 a PP
TIA
And their office in India employs over 3000 MTs.
abba dabba
Anyone see the $2500 signon bonus with eSmartMed? Do you

Just curious.

I wrote to the address MS McNair gave but got an autoresponder telling me she is out on vacation and if I need help to contact my account manager or supervisor.  LOL

I wrote to point out the NUMEROUS spelling errors on their website.

WAY! The closest I have come is 2700 but I do know a couple of ladies that have hit 3000. nm

Ya know, even if I spend time during my shift or after that shift

it is still MY time, expected by the company, and I am not getting paid for it regardless.  I don't answer my phone while I am working, never did, never will.  What other profession, while probably punching a clock, do folks work for free?  If I worked in an office doing this, that time would be paid - say 15 minutes a day x 5 days a week at even $10/hour =   $50 a month - and it is more time spent than that to deal with the email thing and the reminders and the changes in specifics and logging in and out of 3 different accounts when primary is out of work.  GRRR.

I don't change jobs easily either, glad you are happy where you are - but producing 1400 lines of ACCURATE text will end my career soon (and probably yours also) and then what are we all to do?  My goal is not to work more, work harder and longer hours to produce a salary I can live on.

$2500 gross a month working for a national
x
Wow .. if I could do 2000-2500 lph, I'd be living next door to the Rockefellers. nm :-)

Notice the "up to $2500" - sounds like a catch - be careful with this one
nm
is the deductible for insurance still 2500 bucks w/ no copay for doc visit?
That is the sole reason I quit. That and the fact they switched me from account to account as soon as I started making a decent line rate with one.

They also have the ability to slow down how fast you can download files. They slipped and told me that it was to help control traffic on the server.
They pay well 10 cpl days, 11 cpl 2nd shift, 12 for 3rd shift
1300 lines a day required, 65 character line. They have benefits. Don't know much else.
I have worked both 3rd shift and day shift (SM)
including what you call banker's hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.). I ran out of work more often on 3rd than I do now on the day shift.
They work with you to make sure you get the lines required or the amount of lines you want...
I have never had a problem getting more work
Minimum lines for FT used to be 60,000 keystrokes a day, about 925 lines. Pay was good. Just not a
s
Yes it is possible to double your lines. I cant type 460 lines an hour but I can get those with VR
x
Regular lines, not weighted lines
was what I got paid for....
12K lines payperiod is 6K lines a week.
