I too jumped on the Transtech bandwagon

I had more work than I knew what to do with, then they hired a lot of people for new accounts which really hurt my accounts until they were settled in but thankfully that has been resolved and I even volunteered for 1 of the new accounts. They have a very small office staff and trying to get questions answered is like pulling hen's teeth. The manager seems to try to do everything herself instead of farming out some of her responsibilities, they are growing so much but their office staff is not growing with them. They are real nice though and I hope we won't have the work shortage we had the past few months. I had more work than I knew what to do with for a year and then nearly zilch.

I am not on the Keystokes bandwagon, but sm
lots of people seem to be happy there. I almost applied there, but they listed a pay of 7cpl or something and it seemed ridiculously low. I have 30+ years of experience. REGARDLESS ....... if you find a company that makes you happy and you feel good about it .. I'm very happy for you. Don't let the naysayers bring you down. :-)
I am not so sure I'd jump on the KS bandwagon...
I applied and they said they only wanted full-time and would I consider that? So they talk out of both sides of their mouths. I have 15 years of experience with Meditech and I would have agreed to a set schedule including a weekend day for employee status and worked on Meditech since I know it, and the recruiter told me no part-time and I sent my resume through their site and she responded right away. So, if this is a sign of how they operate, I am not so sure I'd want to work there at this point. That is not fair at all. I have a lot of experience and for them to just shrug me off yet turn around and hire a part-time person, that's just wrong!
No, this MT person just hopped on the bandwagon
getting herself into and was so happy to sign-up soooooooo quick with TTD because it seemed like such a great opportunity, that now she's eating crow and trying to defend her soooooo great job opportunity that she and 2 others bit on and now have nothing to say but so what.
Your posts make me want to jump on the bandwagon...sm
and go to work for Proveros! If everybody who works there has your attitude, I'd sell pencils on the corner before I would even speak to a recruiter! CHILL OUT!
Attention ICs: Get on the bandwagon & report the companies
From the IRS website:
According to the IRS, a manager hiring a contractor has the right to control or direct only the result of the work — not the method of accomplishing it.
I jumped ship too. (nm)
.
I jumped ship
glad I did.
think they jointed the bandwagon of overhire as a company policy? NM
x
I think you are right, but if us Americans jumped ship as soon as
it gets rocky, they would sink, but we hang on and on and wait for it to get better and then it doe not!
When Acusis first took over, lots of MTs jumped
see how things went. See if what DI said in that first online conference were going to pan out. I hired on with DRC knowing they didn't offshore, which was one of my criteria for an employer. Would never have hired on to it when it became Acusis.
Originally at that first meeting, they were telling us that after a few changes in software, we'd most likely be making more money. Didn't happen, even though we're now SEVERAL software changes down the road. He said the same about VR, but I just knew THAT couldn't be true.
And now this latest little blip on the radar - the outright lie we were told about pay rates going down. It's just so sad to see what used to be a happy, honest, cohesive little company like DRC being gobbled up and decimated like that.
In future job searches, I still intend to absolutely turn thumbs down on any MTSO that offshores. It's a greedy act that just isn't good for ANYONE in America.
If your physician jumped off a bridge...
would you jump right behind him? The bottom line is that the only person you can control is yourself. If a physician is not performing his job correctly, guess what? He will eventually lose his license. Why do you continue to try and justify punishing patients simply because people do not want to do their jobs correctly? However you spin it, it's still wrong.
Already jumped...wasn't going to be surprised again. n/m
What are they doing this time? Another pay cut? Sending us out Foley caths and Ensure so we never have to leave our desks? Putting everyone on 3rd shift Thursday thru Monday? Taking our firstborn children hostage until we make our line counts for the pay period?
Even the long time Cymed recruiter jumped and went to another Nashville company.
i'm totally amazed they are still running but i feel an implosion any day now.
Yes, jumped from account to account
Constantly rude office staff (especially payroll who often made mistakes). Poor technical assistance. Poor support on accounts. Very slow to reply to problems. Like to lay the blame for problems on an account with the MT instead of poor training and support by the office.
No. TransTech is out of Texas TTS is in New Hampshire. TransTech

Well I don't work for Transtech and this discussion isn't about Transtech...
and that is not age discrimination....give me a break...

TransTech has a job posting on the job board. I have talked with the person who hires (Debbie). She is really a nice lady. They have a M-F schedule listed.
TRANSTECH
Does anyone have any information good or bad on TransTech Medical Solutions?
TIA
TransTech
I've been with them just about 2 years, best move I ever made. The best advice I can give is to give them a call and talk to them. If they are as good for you as they are for me, you'll be a happy camper. Have never ran out of work, pay is decent and DD on time, they often offer VERY good, easy to reach incentives too. Happy MTing!
TransTech
Be very careful. The owner is a very moody person. I only lasted 2 days.
TRANSTECH
Transtech is a very good place to work. The "owner" is NOT moody. The people are the finest in the industry. They value their MTs. The are awesome to work with and for.

I have been with Transtech for 1-1/2 years and it works great for me. I have 20+ years in this line of work and TT is the best company I have ever worked for (and I have worked for a couple of them). I have direct deposit and my pay has always been on time and accurate. I always have work (an abundance of it!!). TT is a fast growing company, adding new accounts, and very busy. They have a very good QA team who are very helpful. They hire USA transcriptionists only - NO offshoring. TT has an ad on the Job Seeker's Board and you can check out some of the things they offer. Also, here is the Contact Us link from their website: http://www.transtechmedical.com/ContactUs.html Good luck in your job search.
TransTech
They have a lot of ads for MTs, are they growing, or difficult to work for, hard to keep MTs. What is the story?
transtech
Yes, I was offered even more money from a smaller company, not national.
TransTech
Anyone have any info on TransTech. I have an interview today.

Does Transtech pay for spaces, headers, footers, etc.

Give Transtech a try. I worked for MQ about 9 years ago only because they bought out a company I worked for. I only stayed with MQ a very short time after the buy-out. I now work for TransTech and they are a great company. You can contact them through their website at:

If Transtech pays 10 cpl for their difficult ESL account, does anyone know what the starting pay for the other accounts would be? TIA.
TransTech - sm
Do you know if they have radiology accounts? TIA
TransTech
I have checked the archives regarding this company but there is nothing up-to-date on there. I would like to know how this company is to work for, how their platform is, and overall if it is a good company to work for. Do they pay for spaces? What is their average starting cpl? TIA
transtech
i applied for them. i have five years experience and work at home. they told me i did not have enough experience
TransTech
I have been with TT for over 1-1/2 years and love it. Great bosses, good pay (always on time), good benefits, and I have always had work. It works for me !!

Poster below said mucho ESLs.

TransTech Medical Solutions (in Texas) does not offshore. It is a US company with US transcriptionists.
Transtech
Ask yourself this, what is wrong with companies who advertise constantly, are people always leaving or do they hire too many people? You can usually answer your own question.
TransTech
You'll hear positives and negatives on any company depending on individual expectations and experiences. As for myself, TT is about as close to a perfect company as one can find these days. Can't speak about insurance costs, I don't have the insurance. I've posted before about my experience with TT and don't want to bother doing it again. About all I can tell you is nothing ventured, nothing gained.
TransTech
The reason I said I didn't want to post my experience with TT again is I am totally disgusted with people like the poster above who says, baby, baby, sounds like management again. What?! Is there some law these days that says an MT can't be happy with the company he/she works for? So here goes.....First and foremost, I wouldn't know management if they jumped up and bit me in the butt. Don't know who owns the company, don't care. Don't know how many employees they have, don't care. Don't know what their accounts are other than those that directly affect me, don't care. Now from the above, you can conclude that I rarely hear from management unless I have a problem, then they respond promptly. The work is just that...it's work; there's good and there's not so good but it's there and I work as much as I want. The pay may not be the absolute best but it's fair and I average $25-$30/hour so no complaints there. The pay is always correct and direct deposited on time. Tech support is the best I've ever worked with. The platform is easy to learn and easy to use, no going between multiple screens or otherwise wasting time.
Now, Baby, Baby (above poster) if you have management questions, you should probably consider addressing them to TT management. If you have questions from an MTs point of view, you can ask me.
TransTech
I'm PT and speaking only from my own experience, they've bent way over backward to accommodate me. They have allowed me to be very flexible and given me just about anything I've asked for. By the same token, it's a 2 way street and when the need arises I do whatever they ask of me, whenever they ask it, to keep them in TAT. I wouldn't want to say for sure because I don't know but I would imagine they would accept PT and/or a split shift. I wish you luck and all I can say is if they work for you as well as they've worked for me, you'll be one happy camper. In between the *&%^* Company and TT, I think I stopped at just about every national and semi-national in the country before I found a company that suited me.
TransTech
Thank you for replying. Some lady posted that they took out $458.00 from her check, I thought she meant because of ExText. She was saying with ExText, you lose 30% of your line count?
Do you work for Transtech and what does DQS mean. Again, I had sent out a post on TransTech and what to expect if I went to work for them.
TransTech
Thinking of changing to TransTech. Does anyone know if their line rate is compatible and/or if they pay spaces, headers, and footers?
TIA!

I, too, just started with TransTech. What IS the policy for their line count. I don't think I can make 11,000 lines either. The only time I made line counts like that was when I worked for a hospital in Sacramento, CA, in the ER Department. I kid you not, I cannot remember ONE BAD DICTATOR. They talked a lot, were VERY CLEAR, each dictator had their way of dictating which did not take long to catch on to, etc. But my company lost the account. Why are ops the best report to do? Plus with the small font size and a LOT of numbering things at the left margin, I would hope they are not using the 65 character protocol. I could find the answer as I have the papers here somewhere, but it would take longer to find them than if someone already knows how TransTech's line counts work. So far, the dictators haven't been that good OR clear, the font is so small I have to zoom to 150% while I'm typing and then remember to take it back down to 100% when I sign off the job. Plus do you have to start from scratch with the loaded word expander, or is there some place that some shortcuts are already listed. With Smartype, a lot of shortcuts were already loaded. dd stood for adding ed to the end of a word, e stood for examination as that is the most common word used that starts with an e, etc. But I can't use Smartype. To buy an MS Word compatible Smartype, it will cost me $195.00, which is $195.00 that I don't have. I REALLY hope someone will answer me as I just started and would prefer hearing the bad news first.
