I think that many of the MTs looking for a job need

a job yesterday. Either they lost their job, there is so little work that they need another job, or there are other issues that make them want to change companies. When you have bills to pay you don't have weeks to wait around for a company to contact you. I understand that companies can get 200+ resumes for a position and that it takes time to weed through them all. I've been in this business 20 years. It used to be that after sending in a resume you were working within a couple of days. This was before offshoring though and there probably were fewer MTs looking for positions for various reasons.
