Like you, I know there is no perfect company, but they do seem pretty darned close.

Will start training next week... any input on what to expect?
thanks.
Any other new Webmedx hires? I start training (sm)
in about a week. Am really excited and nervous. I realize no company is perfect, but this one seems to have so many of the things I am looking for.
I start at Webmedx next week and was told...
that my account will be 30% ESL. When filling out the questionnaire, you are given the opportunity to tell them the amount (percentage wise) of ESL you can handle. I put down 30-40%. I'm impressed with the way the recruiter handled things and, hopefully, will feel the same way in a month or so. He seemed to really want to work with me and address any concerns that I had. Good starting line rate with a good incentive plan.
Thank you, start training this
Friday and am looking forward to a productive relationship.
Thanks...I start training on Monday. :) NM

I start training on Radnet tomorrow
and after looking at the instructions I am a little concerned about the platform. Is it as hard as it looks? Any info in regards to the learning curve would be greatly appreciated.
I am glad to hear that, I start training with them tomorrow.

I only got a week of training before going in the deep
xx
Actually, I was not not guaranteed a wage, went on production after one week training, sm
and still only have one primary account (which runs out of work often).
Most companies have a 2 week training period and if meeting
production and QA one can opt out of it early.
web site says MT-s go through a 28 week training process. That's a long time!
.
Also in training with Webmedx
I love their platform as well.
$700 a week?!!! You trying to start something here???nm

I'm due to start next week and this has
all been a bit unsettling for me too. I'm pretty dependable so I'm not terribly worried about a schedule, but I'm worried about line count. I need to do 1200+ lines a day, and I don't think that is an unreasonable number, but I'm starting to worry about how much time I'm going to be given to reach it.
I have to tell you I'm wavering a bit, wondering if I would be better off where I am.
me too! I start this week. I had to sm
get cable internet because mine wasn't fast enough on the upload. Its in and I am waiting for my ID numbers from the hospital. They have treated me like a queen adn I haven't even started.
I too am excited about a job again!!!!!!!!!
webmedx training period
when I trained I was on the phone for about 6 hours or more I believe. they walk you through the entire procedure.
I start mine next week. They have sm
already sent me a nice gift for MT week and I haven't even started yet!!!!!!!!
Hey Fingers! I start next week. sm
Had to decide to put in cable internet instead of what I had. It is installed Monday. I have everything I need, people have been wonderful and I haven't even started yet. Even got a nice gift for MT week and haven't typed a line yet!
I sure feel like a valued employee before I even start!
Thanks for asking! How you doing?
I know, but we will have it cleaned out to start the week and then it is (sm)
the last week of the payperiod and seems like people are always having to try to make up lines/hours that week.
Good luck to us all.
Webmedx training period. Is it 8 hours a day or...
whatever period of time your trainer designates for those first few days. I'm starting Webmedx on Monday. I guess I could wait to find out, but would be nice to know what others' experiences have been. Thanks!!
I was hired by them last week, start this afternoon...
Feel free to email me
Anyone here typing the new acct that was to start this week?

Webmedx pays a flat training rate for 3 days. nm

If you start PT at WebmedX, can you ask for FT down the road?
I am considering employment with WebmedX as my current situation is beginning to fall apart. Not being paid on time, and some other serious issues that suggest the company is floundering. I don't want to just quit however, as I cannot afford to take a major salary cut. I want to be sure that wherever I go I will be able to make enough money.
Ever thought of a home health care aide? Usually paid training and start work right away. Can work

Starting with WebMedX in a week or so ...
Have been with MQ for 12 years. Am really looking forward to WebMedX. I did a survey like the one you're doing here, and didn't have one bad reply from MTs who work for WebMedX. So, I'm really hoping it will be a great place to work! MQ used to be a great place to work....afraid it's no longer true.
So wish me luck!
I know Webmedx pays $11/hour for 1 week.
I have seen in the past week other companies that pay, but I didn't pay attention to who they were. I found the info browsing the job boards.
Webmedx pays $11/hour for one week and then
pay 25% above line rate for 3 days to give you some time to build-up production.
Did Webmedx honor your 2-week notice? sm
I'm on good terms with Webmedx and think it's a great company. I have an opportunity that I'm probably going to take, and I would give a 2-week notice to Webmedx, of course.
My concern is that when you give a notice some companies don't honor that themselves and instead tell you to go ahead and leave early. Has this ever happened to you with Webmedx?
Please respond only if you left on good terms with the company when they gave Webmedx a 2-week notice. The question doesn't apply to those who resigned without a 2-week notice to avoid getting fired or were terminated.
I'm thinking Webmedx is an honorable company and would let me work my 2 weeks, but with the state of the economy, I am naturally concerned about the possibility of being without 2 weeks of pay.
Thanks in advance!
Cool MT week gift from Webmedx...
Love it! Cook's apron, with the Webmedx logo embroidered on the front. I'll use it a lot. Very nice gesture.
We've been at high alert OT all this week at Webmedx. nm
.
Their training schedule kind of got backed up and so far the only training..(sm)
I've had is one short Bayscribe session. But I extended my 2 week notice at Medquist and I have until July 17 now to get some training in at MDI and do some reports to get familiar with the platforms. I'm looking forward to it!
I can't say enough about their training team. Excellent training!
The people at Medware are all just great. I wish I would have joined the Medware family sooner! They are very flexible and caring!
do you mean company training or med transcription itself training?
nm
TransHealth has some that start the next month after you start work. nm
xx
what training? no training for me, first day they Tried to give me 2 ESL....
nm
they did not come up first. An hour of training is not really training.
nm
Full time with Transtech is both. 40 hours per week and 5500 lines per week.
x
Nope .. email on 1/18 promised "within the next week." Here we are, 1 week later and no info.
x
The minimum is 5500 per week, NOT 6600 per week. I think you made a typo. :)
NM
i clear over 800 a week, 40/week; 30+ year experience. (nm)
x
I get my paycheck every week - that is enough for me! Happy MT week everybody! nm
x
I got laid off for MT Week. Happy MT Week to me!
x
Good last week - Slow this week.
I hope this is not an indication of things to come. I am getting 1,200 lines a day but it is taking me all day to do it. We seem to be out of work from 9-12 every day this week. Hope things pick up after Labor Day.
What is Webmedx FL? Webmedx itself is located in Pittsburgh & Atlanta. nm
.
16 hours a week or 8 a week and get
401 K.
Why would anyone work 8 hours a week. The poster above said 16 or 24 hours a week.
:
Webmedx ad apply at Webmedx or Transhealth ? (sm)
Apply to one address if you need equipment, another if you want to use your own? Does this mean they are still acting as 2 separate companies? Can anyone explain this?
They did go through it on your first day of training.
Check your email attachments again. Call the HR person or the trainer on her toll-free number, and they will explain it to you again. Posting and venting here won't do anything for you.
training
Training was good. It is what happens after the training that is not so good. Why do they not read what people post on their own portal. If they would just do that they would see what they need to change.
Have you had any training? sm
You know, I hate when people nitpick over accidental misspellings in otherwise good posts, but your post makes me wonder about your background--and I don't think it's nitpicking.
What MT education do you have? You do have to train for this field. It's not an easy thing you do after just a couple months of studying medical terminology from a book. Maybe you know these things already.
The answer is no as far as at-home entry-level jobs. Any reputable company I've come in contact with wouldn't let entry-level MTs work at home or probably hire them, for that matter. IF you have completed MT training, a hospital may be your best bet for getting your foot in the door as well as getting a firm foundation for later at-home work.
Good luck
