and info said $12 to $15 depending on test results - and apparently I bombed on the test... I'm a little stunned to be honest... I'm not cocky but I double checked my answers - wondering if it was timed? If so I definitely timed out.

Where did you get the address? One of my resumes ended up in the recruiters SPAM!!! having been blocked by a pop-up prevention. I would call and let them know what is happening. Maybe another email address would work. Also you could try a fax.
Wish they'd respond to my email and resume.
Took the test, did everything right and it's now been three weeks. After 15 yrs of experience, I know I did fine on the test. Guess they aren't hiring.

I used Emdat in the past with one job and thought it was just fine. I see some people hated it but really I remember liking it. I also know I used a foot pedal when I worked on it... has that changed? I can't remember now if it was a USB or 9-pin pedal though.

I just got it back saying it is undeliverable. Makes me wonder what type of company this is if they can't get their email straight.

and their pay scales, which have nothing to do with experience (I have over 30 years).

Mine did have 4 dictations. None of them were ESL, though they were a little more difficult than most tests I've taken.
Mine came as PDF attachment that is password protected

I took a test for a company and my foot pedal would work with the test and I had keep going back
over the dictation time and again to get all the words because I couldnt stop and start it by the foot pedal. What can I do about this.
Just took the test myself. No actual dictation to transcribe. Just a written test.
For 13 cpl, I might do it if the dictators aren't a total horror.
I just took the test today - thought it was a great test of MT skills.

There is no written test. Must have been a different company. I took their ortho test sm
and it was easy. You had to know your terminology but it was easy to understand AND I used my foot pedal.

Basically, this is what I'd like to know.. You can email me the information if you like..First off, are they hiring for ortho? and what is their scheduling like, FT or PT, IC status or employee etc. I would like to find a company that is pretty flexible. Also, what platform do they use? I have worked at some like you were saying, took forever to get the line count and I want to work 8 hours and be done. Oh, do you have benefits, and what are they like if you have them? Thanks for any information you can give..

I'd get my resume in
to the small hospital quickly before somebody else does. I wouldn't say anything to your current hospital and if you have to give them a decision, say you will take the radiology job. Could be weeks or months before that other hospital has an opening.
If the outsourcing goes badly, radiology won't change over for a long time (hope, hope).
Radiology is all about anatomy and contrast. The bet book IMO is HPI's Radiology Imaging Words and Phrases, but you'll also use a lot of your Stedman's books like ortho, neuro, GI, Ob-Gyn, cardio, and even lab books.

Just a couple of questions about your resume. Do you put on it how much you are getting paid at your current job or at your past jobs? Do you put the current volume of work you are doing at your primary job? I have had some experience with hiring for a small company in the past and if I see someone put what rates they were getting paid at other companies I generally would discard the resume because it feels like a challenge to match or exceed those rates. If I saw that someone was a high producer but looking for a second job I would doubt that they would have much time for the second job and discard the resume.
Other flags to me were changing jobs often, big gaps in employment, or lack of specific experience for the specific position.
If none of those apply to you, I'd just agree with the other posters that business is just generally slow right now and it's not personal.
