This makes me ashamed that I once worked for them, but also makes me glad that I work for a decent, honest company now and do not have to be a part of their BS!!

I think if you test well they will consider you on a case by case basis without the full 5 years.

I have a couple of situations that make 8 hours straight not possible for me, and when I hired on with the company I was with who recently merged with Transcend, they worked with me to find ways that would help me be productive without hindering my physical and personal limitations.
I am not going to list specifics, but I was very impressed at how willing they were to help me and they told me that they are willing to make considerations on a case by case basis.

I transcribed 1,195 lines and ichart reflected only 154.08 lines the next day! I documented line counts every day, and for one pay period it was 2500 lines off on their end! - disqualified from benefits too. NO answer from supervisor.

Apparently there were changes made. That does not make her dishonest. It means her plans changed.

I got an email saying that I could not sustain my life with 1 doctor - so they would have to let me go - that = you aren't working here anymore. So, the next step is to call your unemployment office - they determine whether you are eligible to receive benefits or not - and because of the emails that the lead MT sent - she is the one who hung KS - it was determined that I was eligible. Then you look for work - for which there are many different aspects of what you apply for and what you do or do not accept - there are not so many employment positions for MTs -more IC jobs which do not count as employment. I did everything as layed out in the guidelines. KS just didn't want to be responsible for their part of the unemployment - siting laws in their state - which are not the same as those in the state where I live - and you state's laws are the ones that count - not theirs. Please tell me what is dishonest about this. I did nothing dishonest while working for KS - all I did was work. Oh, I did miss one TAT because my broadband was down - and that was in a year.
Well that's just plain dishonest then.
I wonder if the MTstars quote was actually written by the the recruiter him/herself then. I think I'll pass on this company then.

You should be ashamed of yourself. This is called FRAUD. It is ILLEGAL and can give you prison time. You deserve it. You give MTs a bad name and I hope no company EVER has to deal with you that they have a way to talk to KS or any other company you have ever done this to.

I've feel for the same thing and tired of dishonest people.
My favorite was when a recruiter would actually do all of her recruiting by pretending to be an MT. She went to great length singing the praises of her company, even though others were badmouthing the company. She was very convincing until I put two and two together. Actually, she wasn't too smart. She private emailed me from the board as the MT saying that she would contact her boss to recommend me.. Well, though and behold her boss and her both had the same email. Now, do I look like a moron or what. So, honestly, I rarely trust those cheerleaders on here and just take it with a grain of salt because you never know who your talking to.
Just shows that there are those they like and those they don't like.
So some will get a card, some will get a gift card, and some will get nothing. Just depends what group you fall in - same with getting good accounts and bad accounts. I wanna be that lucky person who is getting 2000 lines an hour on editing when the rest of us are getting around 150-200.

Your post is so demeaning to prospective MTs. People don't just come to this board to complain, they come to check on prospective employers because this is the only way to make sure you are doing what you are supposed to be doing. We don't know anything about a company until we research it. I was supposed to start training with SS in a few weeks, but I have decided that there is no way I will work for SS after this big mess.
I could almost guarantee you only decided to fix the problem when more MTs started showing up demanding answers. If you LOVE giving MTs work and helping them take care of their families then why do you offer them slave wages until they can provide proof that other MTSO are more generous than you are. What do you think about them apples!!! How mature of you.

Actually, I see the (self-proclaimed, of course) 'upper crust' more as the MAN on the Green Acres show. In the beginning, he's the one who APPEARED smarter, and who decided to get himself farm. (Not unlike some CEOs who decided to 'buy themselves an MT company...). His boa-wearing wife appeared to be the most unlikely candidate for success on the farm. But in the end, she was happy and successful because she was FLEXIBLE and learned the ways of that offbeat community and funky house (remember how careful she had to be when plugging in household appliances? Some were a '2', some were a '3', etc., and too big a number blew the electrical fuse. The hubby just never caught on.) The husband was never able to cut it, or truly be happy, because he was too RIGID. He expected things to work the way they did in New York, even though this was Hooterville, with its own unique sets of problems and ways of doing things. He was always annoyed and ranting, and his wife happily went about living with their pet pig and the other animals, the quirky house and the quirky town, because she ADAPTED, and she could COMMUNICATE without yelling at people.
I think the top brass at all MTSO companies should rent all the old Green Acres shows they can, and show them at their big fancy meetings. They could learn a lot from Hooterville's favorite, foofy, boa-wearing farmer.

I think that's the point of leaving the apostropy out, i.e., to avoid implying the disease belongs to a specific person as opposed to the disease just bearing that person's name.

is really in trouble and does not have the intention to swindle you out of your money.
Do not approach the client, this swill lead to nothing. The client is not respopnsible to pay you. Talk to her and ask her how long it will soonest take until she can pay. As she goes through a divorce, she should give you a deadline, in a timely manner, when you can cash the check. If she defaults on this date, then take the bounced check to the police.
Another option: If she tells you that it will take a rather long time until she can pay you, then ask for interests on this amount, or you hand it over to the police.

With Webmedx you can hit history button and it shows who has been in that report. (sm)
Of course, there is always the possibility they pulled it up and power went out or the report was a really long one and they had to go pickup kids or something. Though in that case I think they are supposed to put it on hold until they get back.
When I was training I was told if you pull the job up you are expected to type it. I personally do this, but evidently some of those truly horrible audio ones are just too much for some primadonnas.

As much as I hate to get the Dear John, we didn't select you emails, I would rather hear something than nothing. I can handle that kind of rejection but when I waste my time applying, and then they do not even have the common courtesy to respond back on any level. That truly just shows me that I would not work for a company like that. It just gives you a little preview of how they do business.
