I replied to you once, sweetheart. You've got a
really bad attitude. My response wasn't a big huge long drawn out one-sided conversation either. It was plain and simple. If you can't find the email that they send to everyone, CALL THEM or email them. Who is supposed to help you here? Not that I CARE anyway. Just trying to help the helpless become more proactive in finding their own answers. How much time did you waste on the board being snotty and calling everyone else snotty when a simple little five minute phone call would have fixed all of your complaints? Try to help someone and get your nose bit off.

Because they can even manipulate their count program not to count certain letters, data tags, etc. Of course it will not jive with a word count in Word that will count it all and fairly. Make sense?

Part of the reason I replied was because I did go to management, several times in fact, and either there were no replies whatsoever or the replies were in disagreement with others in management, leaving me wondering which one was correct, or they were replies to simply pacify with no intention of correcting. I'm not trying to flame the company. If my experience seems like a flame, it is because there is a problem and exposing it is like exposing dirty laundry, I guess. It isn't meant to dissuade anyone or persuade any else for that matter. It is simply MY experience. Like I said before, I am not a disgruntled employee. I am merely experiencing some things in the company that differ from what others are going through and I am simply expressing my experiences on this forum because of what I stated before about intimidation coming from management on the internal forum.
You are absolutely right that there are many, many employees of Transcend that are extremely happy. I'm not among the ones who have flamed anyone for posting postive experiences. I have/had been one of those happy employees for years. There are also many that have been so fed up they have quit. There are also current employees who are in my situation as well, but are afraid to talk about it. At this point in time, I fall in the middle grouping. I'm not saying it's a bad company to work for. Again, I am merely expressing my experience, and has been said many, many times before, I'm quite confident that people on this board have the ability to know what is best for them in a company and aren't going to let the posting of a few happy cheerleaders or a few disgruntled ex-employees be the basis for the decision what company to choose or not to choose.
All I am saying is that if you are the poster who feels that he/she can work whenever simply because it is inconvenient to work the shift you had committed to, please don't assume that I hadn't talked to management about MY issues and try to point the finger and make accusations about MY motives. This board is about the pros and the cons. Unfortunately for me, my circumstance falls in the latter grouping and I shouldn't be lumped into a group of people flaming or bashing and told it is unfair for me to speak about my experience when I have tried all other internal avenues to no avail. If my experience seems like flaming the company, there would be no flame if there was no ember to fan, so I should have that accusation pointed at me simply because I discuss it?? That is what's not fair, and since I did say I didn't want to argue, I'm not going to keep the discussion going with banter that gets heated or flamed to the point the whole string gets deleted. She also said she didn't have kids. Why do you think you're so much better BECAUSE you have kids? I am so sick of that attitude. I don't have kids, never wanted them, but have been discriminated against in jobs because of it. Everyone figured since I had no kids I could work all the time. I said NO! Just because I don't have kids doesn't mean I don't have a life or that my life is not important.

no matter what is specified for requirements for the job, you would be surprised just how many people will send a resume. With all the jobs I have posted, I make sure I put the necessary requirements, i.e. foreign language requirement, absolutely no offshore companies, etc., and I STILL GET 100+ emails from people that have no idea what transcription is (yes, they actually put that down), Indian and Phillipine companies emailing, as well as the countless number of people that do not even remotely meet the requirements. I have even had some with gross misspellings!!! Can you believe that?
I hope this isn't harsh, but it can be quite frustrating just weeding through the resumes to find the ones that actually fit the bill.
It wouldn't surprise me that you have not heard from them yet - they are probably still weeding through the resumes. If you are qualified, then hang in there, I'm sure they will contact you.

The computers companies provide, whether they were crap or not and that appears to be gone as well. I did not identify a specific employer or anything. Having a failing computer and job hunting currently, I just wondered what you'd get but someone posted that it made sense for the company to send you a decent system so they could keep you working. I could see her point....a perspective I had not looked at.

The staff is great..really nice people..they paid me my s/o bonus even after I quit before my 60 days which I thought was great..however, if you do not like MedType or MedRite..forget it. Hey, when I got the 6 huge binders of paperwork with my PC..I knew I was in for trouble. It doesn't have to be that hard.

I just asked some questions about Transolutions on 1/6. There have been recent changes that affect pay and I am wondering if others are frustrated and worried as I am. I have been an MT for lotsa years and now feel like my QA has fallen drastically because of new higher standards, which have not been consistent either. Plus, you have to be very careful how many reports you put on hold, no matter the reason.

I can tell you that CW has been one of the strongest anti-offshoring activitists in the business. She wrote a long letter on the subject to the Atlanta Journal and I think even went to see the gov. of Ga. personally concerning the matter. She has urged her fellow MTs to get active in writing their state politicians about this issue. So if she's having to admit defeat, she didn't go down without a fight. Just thought I'd pass this on FYI.

now, after many months, but not too many are there yet. At 4 CPL, which is what they pay, that would be MAYBE 12 bucks an hour at the top of the editing 300 LPH. Nothing to brag about in my opinion. I make more straight typing. But those still at 200 LPH make less than a janitor.

People are not constantly calling you or bothering you. You do have to keep your schedule though. There is plenty of work. They don't pay for the template though.
