I love working for them.. have been with them for YEARS. xx

In Reply to: Ask Accupro. The owners of that company - are not MTs. Which I don't think is good.

I LOVE working for TransTech. Been there almost three years and it's
the best MT job I have ever had. You will enjoy talking with Debbie, who does the hiring.
Ditto.. Over 13 years experience working in hospitals doing all types of reports, currently working
for a national etc.. and Spheris told me I didnt have the qualifications. What cracked me up was the hospital I was working at at the time contracted some of our work out to them.. What a joke..I was good enough to work for a hospital and gave them work, yet not qualified enough for them. What is wrong with this picture.
I LOVE WORKING FOR MQ TOO!

I love working for them
I have been with them for over a year now, an MT for 6 years. They are very family oriented. I work on 2 accounts with very little ESL. I didn't have any trouble when I was hired with them. So far, they pay me more than any other company I have been offered a job for. I know they have good programs for new MTs just coming in. I hope this helps. If there are any other questions you would like me to answer, just let me know
I love working there, too`
nm
I love working for them.

I've been with them for about a year.  We have just switched over to a new system that is probably the best I've ever worked on.  There really isn't much training to do.  They have step-by-step instructions of how to work the program and supervisor will probably call to make sure you have everything ready and will be available to answer your questions.  Then you are assigned work.  They will give you as much or as little as you want.  I find most of the time that I have too much.  No ESLs.  Pay isn't tremendous, but the work is very easy and without ESLs production is good.  They pay by direct deposit every week without fail.  I highly recommend!!!!  Good luck!

man, that's like working for love!!??

I really love working for MDI
I have a friend (a single mom) who swears by Landmark. She says she has the flexibility she needs and the people are all really nice.
I love working for Shapin!!!!
Well, i have been with Shapin for 2 1/2 months and absolutely love it.  I have never seen so much communication.  If you think that is a bad thing, you need to work for a company with no communication.  There is always work, in fact I am never caught up anymore, since I recently started QAing as well as transcribing.  Maybe I got your job, Thanks for doing such a sucky job, so I got the promotion.  Just out of curiosity, where do you work now and what are you getting paid?
Love working at Axolotl!!!
I only have a sec, but I started working for Axolotl at the beginning of Sept. and my experience has been nothing but wonderful from their platform, support, QA, work and management.  Lotus notes is used and extremely user-friendly.  Once you get up to speed, the min. lpd is 1200 and the QA standards are high but you get excellent support and feedback to help you achieve a high QA score.  I would highly recommend working for them!
I love working at home...

I agree that there are those out there that think being an at-home MT is a piece of cake and anyone can do it and they are sorely mistaken...I have an 8-1/2 year old and a 14 month old and I take great pride knowing that I am able to do my job and take care of my children....I have never used my children as an excuse not to get work done and I don't plan on it...my job as an MT is very important and I do it to the best of my ability....I do wish people would take more pride in their work but we don't all have the same work ethics unfortunately...

I love working at Webmedx.
I have only been there for a month now, but I absolutely love it. I used to work for a local hospital and wasn't sure how it would be to go somewhere else, but I am absolutely loving it. The pay is great (actually make more now than I did working at the local hospital for the last 3 years), benefits are pretty close to the cheapest in the business (at least for family coverage), and in the month I have been there, I have had OT approved twice and only ran out of work 2 times (for only an hour each time) right at the beginning(was hired for a new account).
I love working for Keystrokes...
I can't answer the second part of your question because I have been with them for 2 years...but I know they are a stable company and I finally found the perfect fit for me...good luck!!!
Ditto.....Love working for TT (nm)

I love working for TH. I only have single coverage
but it is very affordable and is excellent coverage. I do not know what it is for family coverage but I know that the single coverage runs about half the cost of other companies. They are an awesome company.
Amen, nicely said. I love working for MDI, and I don't get q
where these people are coming from. We have not been slow at all. I always get paid on time, and people answer my e-mails. If the people that are negative have valid complaints, I think they should talk to their team leader or a manager at MDI. I have never, ever had a problem with communication.
because I love working part-time
and filling the remainder of my day with extra-curricular but I do not want to live extra-curricular
That is you opinion, not fact. I love working for

I love working at TT. They have been very kind and understanding with me sm

on many occasions, and I have nothing bad to say about them.  However, I have also come to realize that it is my responsibility to seek out other sources of income, especially with the holidays coming up.  I am single with no children, but I still have tons of bills (my fault), and I doubt the electric company or other places will just let it slide because work is slow.  I am going to be starting an IC position that will allow me to flex my hours around the times I am committed to TT.  I definitely hope it gets better, and I have asked for another account, but sometimes I guess we have to be proactive and take care of ourselves.

Good luck to you!

Love working for my local clinic
I have 4 weeks vacation after I was there for just one year. After 5 years I get five weeks. I get paid hourly so if there's no work, which happens from time to time when all the doctors and the NP I work for are gone, I still get paid. I get all holidays and weekends off, a 401K plan, and profit sharing. I'm sure those working for Nationals make more than I do, but it was important to me that I didn't have to work weekends and/or holidays so it's the perfect fit for me.
Axolotl ROCKS! Love working for them! nm

I make good money with them and love working there. sm
Here is why: I have one account with a backup account that I have only used twice and both times because they needed help not because my primary was slow. I do 1600+ lines in 8 hours. I started at 8 cpl and was raised to 9 cpl at 90 days. I have as much work as I want and while my PTO days are less than the last place I was for 8 years, I make more during the year. I literally made $17K more with KS last year than I did with MQ the year before. I am higher this year.

I love Chartscript. The account I am on is wonderful and yes, I use ShortHand with it.

Good to me? I made $61K last year with them and so far this year, I am at $56K, so I will pass that for sure.

No to paid holidays but if you work them, it is time and a half.

If my account needs extra help, they offer time and a half for weekends.

I would rather work for less per line and be able to do more lines than make more per line but struggle to get 1000 lines in a day.

There are nay-sayers for KS. They are strict on quality and expect everyone to work their schedule. Not all accounts are great, but that's anywhere. The only people I know who left were either let go for either quality or not working their shift or they quit because their lead was about to fire them.
There are a lot of people who do and it seems that most love working there. I started 6 months ago
and have no complaints at all. It is refreshing to work for a company that treats employees as individuals, not just a number. I also like that they do not send work offshore and that I only have one main account. I do have 2 back-up accounts, but have never worked on them after training. I am lucky that my main account is very busy, too busy most of the time!
I am not management...I just happen to love working for Keystrokes...
sorry you had such a bad experience but doesn't mean that Keystrokes is bad...just in your opinion...
I have been working for them for five years now...
I have had very few complaints. I just get my lines in for each pay period, and they don't bother me much at all. Very flexible schedule.
I LOVE DSG!! Been there almost 3 years. sm

The management staff is great, easy platform, pay is always on time, flexible schedule.

Yes they are still around - been there 3 years and LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!

I also have 12 years in, and would love to get out.....
Would you mind emailing me and letting me in on where you went to.......it sounds like a much better, happier place. I can't see things at the Q getting any better....Thanks!
Been with MQ for 8 years and love it.

I have done ER for 2 1/2 years and LOVE it. sm
I work full time too, and we seldom run out of work. If we should, (and that is rare), almost everybody is cross trained in other work types. Some times it gets boring..how many ways can you pull out a splinter or diagnose chest pain? The hospital I work for is the largest hospital on the west side of Michigan. Every single ER doc uses the same basic template. Then we have canned text. We are also allowed to make as many Expanders and macros as we can use to achieve your production quota. We have our fair share of mushmouths and speed talkers, page turners and dead air. And of course, every summer the new crop of residents rotates through, along with the medical students, and other hangers-on. LOL. We are still paid by the hour, but that is going to be changing as we have started VR. The higher-ups just haven't figured out how to do it yet.

ER's are busy 24/7 and more so during holidays, so the work is always there. If you like a variety, and you will get it, you will like ED work. There will be days you just shake your head in amazement at some of the stuff you will see come through the ER.
I love it too. It will just be gone in a few years. It's just

Been there 1-1/2 years - still love it! nm

I have been there for over 2 years and I love it...
great company to work for...You will not be disappointed :)
I love working on Meditech. I find it faster than other programs. It really does sm
depend on the account, the version, your connection, etc. There is not a lot of donated time in my opinion. I type upwards of 3000 lines per day (65 character count, not gross) and only work 8 hours. The spellcheck is medical on the account I am on. I use my Expanders for everything. Most of us on the account I am on do over 1500 lines a day, so maybe different accounts are set up different at the actual hospital. I have never lost a report in the middle, although I read that a lot here. I have been working on it for over 3 years.
In retrospect, I shouldn't have named my company because truly I do love working for them and sho
assume this was just a payroll error. So, that's what I'm thinking until I know better. If I did lose my insurance without any notice, then I would not be a very happy camper and would do what I needed to do. But, in the meantime, they have been great to work for...
I would rather know what they expect up front. I love working there. Breath of fresh air sm
I was with the Q for 12 years and started with Keystrokes a year ago tomorrow. I am fast and accurate and had no problems with their requirements.

They are definitely worth taking a look at. I make more money with them (at 0.09 per line now) than I did with MQ at 0.11 per line. Better accounts, no huge pool, plenty of work.

They are growing every year, every month it seems and do not lose accounts.

I am glad I made the switch.

If you do not like what they tell you upfront, try somewhere else. I liked having the information without having the ask 50 million questions and not knowing what to expect.
i've been working for MDI for over two years sm

i think they pay really good.  i love my acct.  the supervisor is a good communicator.  i have a lanier acct, but they do have some accts where your program for retrieving dictation is over the internet, so no long distance needed there. i think they even give you a chance if you don't have fast speed.  i don't have fast speed, where i live it's not available.

good luck!

I'm afraid...after working for several years...

at a company, who will be unnamed, but is very popular these days, I have finally took the plunge and taken a position with Web.  I'm happy and afraid at the same time.  I hope I do well.  I hear good things about this company.  I just want to be happy again.  My present (soon to be past) job has really whipped my you know what.  I hope I made the right decision.  Thanks all.

PS Pls excuse any typos

2 years at Medware - love it
x
Been there for 4 years and absolutely love it! sm

Good accounts, pay on time via direct deposit, higher pay than most, smaller company where people still know you by name and truly care.  As for the platform, you type in Bayscribe and send your reports in live via the web site.  Some accounts are converting to wav files, and some are still via C-phone and you have to pay your own long distance.

Of course, as with all companies, one man's paradise is another man's hell, so I am sure there are those who will disagree with me.  If I can answer anymore questions, fee free to ask.

Good luck!

I have worked there for about 2-1/2 years and love it. sm
I had a problem a few months ago waiting for an ID for a new account when I asked for a change. I am glad that they kept me on my original account during the wait because it took over 3 weeks. I was told that the hospitals can take a while but the wait was worth it as I am on the best radiology account I have ever been on. I have never run out of work and get paid both well and on time, so I am happy.

It is worth the wait.
Worked at MW for over 1.5 years and love it!
Email me for more info.  :)
I have been there 3 years and only do rad. I was trained well and love my job. sm
The only complaint I have is that 2 accounts I was on went to Powerscribe. I was put on different accounts because I do not like to edit VR, so there was really not a problem. I get a lot of work and love my lead!
I agree...I have been with them for 2 years and love them...
They are the best, for me at least!!!
I have been at Keystrokes for 2 years and I love it...
I have never experienced or heard of anything such as the OP is claiming...all I know is that Keystrokes is a great place to work for and you were unhappy there let it go and move on...I truly hope you found a better fit for you...and to those that do not like working for Keystrokes, find another job...
I love Transcend, have been there for years...
started with MDI. The offshore component is mostly on Escription, and has never affected my workload.

Transcend is a good company; they treat me well and I make great money - I could care less if they offshore. Then again, I also have a Samsung TV, a German car and many things made in China!
Been at Keystrokes for 2-1/2 years and LOVE it!

I have also been at Keystrokes 2-1/2 years and love it...
Great company.
Run, run away. I just left after working for them for 12 years . Go to their forum
and read a little bit.
Ihave nearly 20 years' experience and love doing

Ops.  All the other stuff is so boring to me.  Not many days go by that I don't have to look something up.  There is always a new piece of equipment, a new procedure, and when you get new doctors coming it they may been from a different part of the country and their terminology is different for the same procedure that the other doctors use.  It is a constantly learning process.   If you have good reference material and utilize the equipment manufacturer's websites that helps provided the dictation is clear enough that you can figure out which way to go with it.  If you can do just one speciality, like doing GI procedures or orthopedic procedures it will give you lots of practice and it will be easier to become familiar with the terminology.  If you can get samples of dictations that will help also.   I would definitely take a chance on doing Ops.  You might not be able to do them, but then you might surprise yourself.    You always have the word boards to help when you really get stuck.   I think it is a great opportunity for a newbie.

Softscript does. Been with them 2 years and love it. No flames please!
