I love ExText. Why do you say run? It is fast, easy to use sm
and my line counts are right on the money (verified often).
General statements can be misleading. Just because YOU had a bad experience, why tell people to run from a platform that is used by literally thousands and hospitals????
Also love ExText even though the line counts can be low. Easy to use! nm

I love ExText...calm down..it'll be okay
ExText is extremely easy. You've got your demographics screen...easy...and then you're in your document. You know what's great about ExText? It's so easy to search for past reports by provider, by patient, by MT. It's very straight forward and a very easy system to learn in my opinion. You get past the demo screen, finish the document, ctrl-N, it spellchecks, you're done. Voila!
I love it. It is fast, easy to learn and easy to use.
ExText was one of them. Not sure if the only one. ExT is very easy. nm

They'll work with the report being created in front of them...sm
With all the times I've had residents, PAs, or NPs dictate sentences, erase them, start again, erase them, and then end up saying go back to where I said [fill in the blank] and put [such and such] instead, I can't see a machine being able to correctly interpret all that. If they work with the document being created in front of them, they can fix all this stuff as they go along. Just highlight the old stuff they want out and replace it with the new stuff they really wanted.
I can't see the computers picking up medication errors, dosage errors, incorrect dates, new operative equipment, being able to correctly flag right/left, or correct spelling of cc'd physicians' names. Most likely there is another program running with it that would do a pop screen for amoxicillin 5000 mg tid to question it. Physician names are probably in a pop up screen too. Of course, it's not going to correct everything but when the COX-2 inhibitors were taken off the market do you think a human could go through all 5,785 charts to find the people who had been prescribed Celebrex to call them to tell them to stop taking it? Of course not. It's not a matter of IF MT's will be replaced, it's already happening.
TransTech and Keystrokes also offer some Dictaphone ExText accts. Very easy to

if easy platform and few ESLs, you'll do okay with same doctors daily.

It is easy once you are used to it. I love it! xx

Yes, I use it and love it. No problems, easy
a real breeze. Highly recommend it. They have a 30 day free trial - try it out and see how you like it. I wouldn't work as an IC without it.
Yeah, I love them too, except the real easy ones are being

Love Ex-Text - easy to learn
nm
I was down about the account last week but now love it. It was easy to get used to. The first sm
day was really rough, the second was a just as bad but 2 weeks into it and I really like it. My counts are good too, averaging right around 1400 lines a day, which is good for these old fingers. Docuscribe is great, but I have worked on it before for the big Q.
Great place - ExText is easy to learn and user friendly. Good pay. Nice, COMPETENT people.

I use ExText and love it
I use it with OSi. I also use Shorthand, and it works just fine.
I really like the searching capabilities... You can search by worktype, doctor, patient, and by MT (so you can pull up your own old reports). The search features are the best thing in my opinion. They've saved me a lot of blanks.

ExText and I love it

I love ExText
I have never worked in Chartscript before, so I can't say anything about it, but I do work in ExText and LOVE it. It is so very easy to use and very easy to make a great line count in. I do all ER reports and discharge summaries, and it is great.
I agree. I am only part time so far, but I love it. The platform is easy, and sm
the people are great. I feel very fortunate to have stumbled onto them.
I use EXText with Medware and love it
Very easy to install, I had typed on EXText at a previous service so I was familiar with the platform, but it is quite easy to use.
I'm on an ExText acct with MW. Love it! nm

I work in ExText and love it
My main account is mostly templates, and it is an extremely easy ER account with about 8 doctors. I easily do between 400-500 lines per hour on that account. My secondary account is on Chartscript, and I do about 300-350 lines per hour on that account. I love them both.
I love it here; easy platform, plenty of work, great communication

I love it! Nothing like the old blue screen Meditech. User friendly and easy to use! sm
I also get paid gross line, which helps, but very easy to use!
You'll love DRC if you get the job - sm
I work for DRC and it's the best company I've ever worked for as an MT or otherwise. Very accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Wide variety of accounts. Very nice working programs. Pay and benefits are nice too.
If you like OPs you'll love them.nm

You'll love it there.
Good luck with the interview. I tried a lot of companies before, during, and after them but always stayed because they were the best thing going. Sometimes you think the grass is going to be greener on the other side but it is not. Again, best wishes and I hope your hired and like it there. They have a lot of happy employees there because they treat them so well.
You'll love it
The best company I have ever worked for, hands down. There are lots of great posts about them on this forum.
I would love to know too, I love EXText

I loved Bayscribe ... also love ExText ... sm
really haven't found any platform I truly hate. Nowadays, you just have to be adaptable. I used Wordperfect (DOS) back when it was 3-something, and I knew it like the back of my hand. But everything changes ... so now I know Word and various derivations ... Iscriptor, Extext, Webnedx's platform (a bit cumbersome but still doable), the old YOG Cottage program ... you name it. I no longer work there (I wanted to be an employee and have benefits and such), but I think anyone who walks away from MDI-MD because they hear negative things about Bayscribe is doing themselves a huge disservice. I made 11 cpl when I left, had decent accounts, and great liaisons. To stick your heels in the sand and say Bayscribe stinks just seems foolish to me ... but that's just my opinion. Opinions ... and ... uh .. other things .. we all have them (smile).
Of course, I also have to admit, still going back to my WP51/PRD days ..... I LOVED PRD, and have adapted to similar Expanders such as ShortHand and autocorrect in Word and such ...... but I watch people on this board exclaim about how wonderful Instant Text is, and I want to puke (ha). I worked for Healthscribe for about a month (it's not even here anymore, and they were the kingpin of offshoring, I later discovered) ..... I hated that stupid popup box and such with IT. I want to just use my own little abbreviations I can memorize and hit the space bar. But that's just me. And if I found a great company who insisted I use IT .... I'd learn to like it, or at least tolerate it.
Uhoh ... this started out as just a defense of Bayscribe (honestly, the line counts on it are great ... I did a minimum of 300 lph, and if I really focused and had some good dictators, it could be more like 350, and I only have about 1000 abbreviations) ... and somehow I got sidetracked. Sorry ..... sign of an old lady up too late at night with no brain left (ha).
Bottom line ...... I have been an MT for a long time. If I can ever help anyone with anything, I'd be happy to try. Feel free to email me anytime.
Love ExText platform but not sure about companies as I'm an IC. nm

Totally agree,I love ExText
I have been working in ExText for months and love it. All of my lines are very accurate and I make an awesome line count every day working in it. I wouldn't want to work on any other platform!
agree, IMEs are great $$, easy reports, miss them, would love to find them

Congrats! You'll love it!
I have been there a year, and it has been the best year ever for me! It's much better than any other MTSO I have ever worked for! I know you'll love it! Welcome!

I have been with KS a little over a year and love it! Congrats and good luck!
Sounds like you are talking about ExText - I love it. I use my shorthand AND the built-in ESP.

Yes, it comes with Stedman's built in. You'll love the platform, it's
the easiest I have worked with.
Good luck to you in your new posiiton -- I'm sure you'll love MDI. :-) nm
Anyone know of a company, easy clinic work, easy Word format, dependable pay? Help!
x
I'll love to know who you work for. I also work every weekend with no extra pay.
It'd be nice to get paid for all the nights and weekends I work.
Platform very easy and quick - easy to get used to. :)
.
9cpl and 11 cpl for weekends. Use ExText. My ExText version wasn't compatible with theirs
,
Love, love, love TransTech! Not overhiring, just growing like crazy!

If you'll read through past posts you'll find lots of
recent info. Why do you need menitoring if you already work as an MT. Unless you do clinic work most companies will require you to work at least one weekend day, at least initially.
If you'll read the archives you'll find out everything
you want to know, none of it good.
