I like it

If you have a chance to join MDI, I'd advise you to jump at it.
I don't run out of work, though it gets sparse occasionally. Frankly, I enjoy a few unscheduled hours off now and then. And I don't mind pitching in when there's a boatload of work, which there has been recently. I like my account manager. I like the e-mails the owner of the company sends. There is plenty of communication. The Bayscribe platform is pretty slick. The tech people are also very patient and helpful, though not with 24/7 staffing. My pay has been accurate to within a few cents of my calculations every single time. This is such an improvement over my last company!
My only concern is that VR is being phased in on some accounts. I don't know which. I don't know when/if to expect that with my accounts. It's all very hush-hush. When I was hired less than a year ago I was told VR was the way the industry was going and that certainly MDI was looking into it, but that implementation was 'way in the future.'
Still, I am enjoying my transcription job as long as it lasts and I don't think any company can guarantee never to try to turn you into an 'editor.' Just seems to be the way the business is headed everywhere. It is a very good company, at least for me. Go for it!
