Who here is required to type 1800 lines on a daily basis for FT work?
x
1800 lines is easily achieved. I average 300-340 lines per hour. nm
x
May I ask what account you are on and what work type you are doing to get 1800 in five hours?
NM
1800 lines a day is not much when making
That is exactly why I left Transcend. They try to make it look like people can make double what they did straight typing, but it's a crock. Lots of new people were hired at 10 cpl, but you don't earn 10 cpl for editing on BeyondTxt. Calculate what your earnings would be with the rate reduction at 2000 lines per day, which when I left was 55% of normal line rate with no incentive, and calculate what your earnings would be at 1700+ lines a day at 0.085 cpl, but don't forget the incentive rate, which at 1701 lines would have been 0.0075 cpl. Which way is actually making more money?
I've heard that the current rate for editing is 60%, maybe it's gone up. I don't know, but even at 70% a person making 1700 lpd straight typing would have to produce 2210 lpd editing just to break even, and it still wouldn't even be breaking even because the person is still losing the incentive bonus. Transcend's pay restructure benefits Transcend because they no longer have to pay as many people the higher wages they did with straight typing. It still amazes me that so many can't see that. Even if the BT program was the best thing since sliced bread, which it is NOT because there are so many problems with it, there is no way to make more money with editing unless the person is a low to mediocre producer. If you normally produce anything more than 1200+ lpd, Transcend really isn't the company to make money with because there are so many other companies out there that pay much higher. It all depends on what you're looking for.
What are they asking for, 1500/1800 lines a day, or more? nm
s
1800 lines so far and have 3 more hours to go in my shift.
.
I can cut it, I do over 1800 lines in 7 hrs. I think I am the great employee. nm
.
I average 1800-2000 lines a day on BeyondTXT.
nm
From a 5/06 post, 8 cpl up to 1800 lines a day!!! Then you'll get 8.5. Not for this turtle
s
Make sure you ask what the required lines per day is. Could be 1200-1800 or higher. nm
s
Yes it is possible to double your lines. I cant type 460 lines an hour but I can get those with VR
x
If you can only type 500 lines a day- LOL
nm
That should be the more lines you type sm
sorry, long day already.
No, for every 100 lines you type you get paid 100
The ctrl-I counts headers and footers in the line count on the Extext document. However, you get paid for what you type, not the headers which were already in place. Maybe one day there will be a perfect line counter where neither of them counts headers but for now there are two different counters, the one that comes with the Extext document itself (including headers) and the one that comes from WHAT YOU ACTUALLY TYPE AND ARE PAID FOR. How much simpler does this need to be explained? You get paid for what you type - everything you type. Period. Okay? Just because Extext counts the header doesn't mean a thing because ichart counts what you type and that is what you are paid by. So far, there is no system for Extext to NOT include the header because it is reading the entire document including the header (that you didn't put type in the first place). Extext count is wrong (although a little higher). ichart count is correct.
If you type 200 lines that is only $4.00 an hour?
Not even minimum wage. Tell them to go on to India if that is all they are paying.
I do get holiday pay PLUS all the lines I type
My company pays for holidays and if you work them, you still get your holiday pay plus what you type.
you type 250 to 350 lines per hour?
you type that fast?
On the new plan, if I type at 1500 lines a day at
nm
if you type 1500 lines plus per shift
with what seems to be the most popular company to work for. I'm job looking. I do believe I may have to apply! What's the difference between Meditech magic and Meditech XL?
Lines to type would be nice for MT week.
Wait, you can only type 1200 lines a day?
You can't type more?
Are you required to type 2400 lines in eight hours? Only
aa
I started at 0.08 but am at 0.085. The lines are easy to get. For some reason, I type sm
more lines in 6 hours than I used to in 8 hours at a small company in Tampa. It might be because I have two doctors that I am responsible for and am the only ones that do them. I also help on two others when their Transcriptionist is off or has too much.
Don't twist my words. I said that I type 1600+ lines per day. sm
I do. My personal requirement for myself is 1600 lines, 1400 lines if I am not feeling well or have kids home without a babysitter. MOST days I type in the 2500-3000 line range. There are days I do more than that, but not many. I do not work overtime very often; I have 5 kids and it is impossible for me to do so. Don't read more into this than there is.
Current Transcend employees...what type of lines...sm
What type of line counts are you getting as far as VR on the Beyond Text platform? I am rather new and not getting a very good line count and was wondering if there is light at the end of the tunnel. I have gone through all the resources on the main website to help enhance line count, but not seeing much of a difference. Thanks.
2000 lines, I havent done that in years. What work type do you do? nm
xxxx
You too? I was always a 1800-2000 SM
line producer daily until I worked for them. 1200 and it was taking me 9-10 hours to get those 1200 lines. Something is wrong with their line counting.
I usually get 1800 to 2000
.
Gee, if you didn't do 1800, someone else could
.
My weekly paycheck was $1800 before taxes - IC work. sm
It can be done with own accounts working no more than 8 hours a day!
I have been a MT for four years and I make $1800.00 per month. I am happy with my pay at this
stage
Monthly, I bring in $3500-4000, about $1800 every 2 weeks.
I work about 5-6 hours a day, Monday through Friday. Sometimes I work a little extra if I didn't get the line count I wanted that day due to dictators, etc. Consistently, I bring in this much as an IC. It hasn't always been this way, you need to get to know your accounts and then it will come. I have the same accounts and dictators every day working for a national.
Not the only one. My co has gag order too.
z
What do you mean by out of order?
Do they offer IC or employee status, full and/or part time? Just curious. With respect to the out of order comment, do you mean disorganized?
Out of order
By out of order I mean she was downright rude when I suggested that I would like to work with my text Expander and dictionaries rather than theirs.
ETP has a gag order on the employees
and few privately.
Unfortunately in order to make any
money, you have to be the MTSO. If you apply with nationals and the people who have the accounts, you are not going to make the big money, they are, otherwise, why would they need you. It is very unfortunate, but it is true.
Me, too! And to think I joined DRC in order to get away - nm
.
That's because they have a gag order on employees
when you hire on, you have to agree not to talk about them on the internet and give them permission to read your mail if they want to see what you write. Also, you agree not to participate in any kind of union activity. This all happened after they hired some consultants to restructure their business practices...and one of the owners even canned his MIL. Fun at family get togethers, huh?
You might get some private emails, but you won't see anything posted in public by current employees.
That is probably a tall order with only
x
Excuse me, so you are saying that in order to (sm)
get a raise in this business and be compensated correctly for years of knowledge and medical terminology, that we have to increase our speed?
Ummm...NO! In 12 years of doing this profession (and I choose to so someone else is not raising my kids - and don't you dare call that a benefit either because it is harder) I have NEVER gotten a raise.
I should be compensated for the 12 years of knowledge that I have, not told be work faster and harder. Every other profession does that - REWARDS THEIR WORKERS FOR THEIR KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE.
It is not a matter of being selfish and want, want, want. It is a matter of what is right and wrong.
the new world order
Welcome to life at Acuspheris
court order?
Terri Davis is gone by court order? How? Why? Such dish!
Who's the businessman running the place?
More info is needed! Totally interested now!
They probably have a gag order on their employees - nm
asldk
Keystrokes, Execuscribe, MDI-MD in no particular order. nm
nm
8 cpl isn't a 'tall order' even for a newbie. It's not
.
US MT's are paid so little per line that in order to
reports as possible, and the faster you go, the more junk is likely to be produced. I try to proofread everything I produce, but when my tenancy is on the chopping block and the rent is overdue, I type as fast as I can, don't proofread, and hope for the best. It's all about survival.
QA must have heard it in order to edit it sm
They knew the sound quality was bad. They had to know. I worked somewhere where the doctors dictated on a tape recorder and then played it into the phone. It was a nightmare and when I said anything, they said they could hear it fine. It was not fine at all.
It was distant, the volume was low and it was fuzzy.
Other than through a court order!!!! Never said the info was NEVER given out at all! nm
laskdjf
Do you have to be local to their office in order to work for them? nm
xx
correction..."in order to work as an MT in the US"
