to your computer. You would have to play around to find it, but I know it's there because I can see all of my past msgs and they are time/date stamped.

Thank you so much. I just finished 2½ hours in that other hospital and only typed 223 lines. I know when I'm in my regular hospitals it will get better and I will put out the money for IT. Someone before said I can combine my Smartype with it and if that's true, that'll be a big help. I'm also hoping the sound quality for my hospital will be better. It's pretty good in the Cottage. The DQS hospital I'm been typing is the pitts. Again, thank you for your help and your link. It is all greatly appreciated.

Question about the TT Yahoo Group
I'm relatively new and did join the Yahoo group, but I haven't had a chance to check it out yet. What goes on; is it just posting Q&A's, is there a chat room, or how exactly does it work?
TT Haters, please don't bother to respond...I'm just asking for info on the Yahoo group. I have my own opinion of TT and don't want to hear your opinion if it's negative.

and you will see the instructions to sign up. I believe you need to provide part of your employee number, and it will give you instructions on the things you cannot post, i.e., hospital names, compesation, etc.

Most of the positive posts about TT and VR are mgmt posts; they always do this, but you other cheerleaders/favorites, go to your new Yahoo Board and leave us along who don't want to work for LESS MONEY.
By the way, I have done VR with TT and HORRIBLE. I can't make even close to the money I can with normal transcription.
VR is more money in the pockets of TT execs. Not in the MT's wallets.

They usually hang out there on that Yahoo group board, but see that they are needed to cheer on this Company Board right now due to the uproar going on at TT.
TT had a private group on yahoo and they verified membership
by using the last 3 digits of their employee number.
Certainly giving your employee ID limits your ability to talk freely on the TT board, so it is not used much; however, since many of you are probably transitioning out of MDI, it wouldn't prohibit open conversation too much.

Someone just asked about Task. There are a few replies below. I was one of them who got interviewed, but as soon as she got on the phone with me she wanted more of a time committment. I can tell you they're lookin for someone to give at least 20-40 hours per week. Good luck.

I have a fun question ask everyone: what (and yes I am saying what not who we don't want names) What was the worst doctor you had to type for? I have typed for doctors from Bolivia, Portugal, and Czech all with English as their second language.. I could do them just fine after I figured out the basics. The worst doctor I ever typed for was from Texas. WOW could that man garble a sentence and fast - oh my gosh he talked fast. English was his first and only language.

Although, and even though we joke, to a degree that has happened in some industries already. While they still maintain the largest portion of things like the tech industry, a noticeable portion has started to be offshored to places like the Ukraine and parts of Africa as the Indian wages have risen to fill the demand for employees.
You kinow, I get mixed messages with that.
There have been job applications that want to know every single thing, even what were you doing when you were unemployed, and they want the dates for that. I have had people complain when I didn't. However, I would rather put job experience pertaining to the position I am trying to get.

MTs, where there is no discipline displayed in public, there will certainly not be any in private after you're with the company. This should be extremely educational. Why anybody but the absolute newbies would go with this company after these recent posts is beyond me.

are about a dozen. If you will click on one of those links there are usually several other posts where others have responded to the same questions you are asking. Someone has started a private Transtech board within the last few weeks, but there is tons of stuff about Transtech on MTStars.

if what you mean by looking for more is you want someone to tell you it's great, then here - IT'S SO GREAT, I MAKE MAD MONEY THERE, they let me work whenever I want and there is always tons of work and OT offered on all these easy accounts with normals. I think I'll retire with this company.

Yes, and even if they are saying IC and SE are available, you are right, everything is followed with the foreseeable future disclaimer, or I think or I believe. I know with MQ, eventually SE gave way to IC which gave way to total employee no choice, stay or go. .... ....

Obviously not soon enough to save the reputation of
the company and possibly some good MTs. If there are more like her around there, no wonder they get such bad comments.
They save millions
by offshoring our work. We may not see the big picture when we think about the penny difference, but pennies make dollars, and dollars make millions. They are saving and pocketing a whole lot more than what they pay editors to fix the junk.
As someone said later in this thread, why not just open up your doors to U.S. newbies who are begging for jobs and ten times better. It is all about mighty greenback, as is everything in this country.
Nobody is stealing our jobs. The U.S. government is allowing MTSOs to hand them over. I don't blame the people who take them at all. They would be crazy not to while living in country that has no jobs if they have a family to clothe and feed. It is all about greed as usual, greedy MTSOs who have no pride and have given in and given up.
The roof will come tumbling down on everybody's heads one day. It's just a matter of time!
My discipline in being able to save
was what I was able to fall back on in order to survive while I worked for them. I had hoped my job with them would work out in spite of the line rate being so low, but it didn't. I found the lines very hard to get. But I'm glad it happened. I'm in a much better place now, having no trouble making my line count and am being paid much more by a company that deducts all taxes.
I didn't realize at first that they weren't taking out my state taxes. I know it was my responsibility to go over my pay stub with a fine tooth comb, but it didn't occur to me that they wouldn't take out my state tax; evey other company I've ever worked for did.
When I discovered it, I requested them to do it, and they refused. That's when I quit.
I just love people who condemn others as having *no discipline* when they don't know the circumstances of the situation or the person involved.
