He is making sure you are hooked on that lure, and aren't going to wriggle off the hook if, indeed, the job turns out not to be as wonderful as he has so carefully scripted. There is only 1 recruiter who does this. As long as your original job hours will not conflict with your new job hours, its really nobody's business but your's. Tell him what he wants to hear so you can start your new job and give your notice at job #1 when, and if, you want. Don't let this recruiter pressure you. I sure didn't, and was really beyond glad in the end, as my goose would have been cooked. He's just planning on spending his commission for you as a new hire!
