I just referred my friend who was hired

In Reply to: what do you mean no physical ?? - - former dskrtr
no physical, don't know when they stopped it, background check yes - 2 weeks to hire date and benefits after 90 days. I work on 2 accounts and have no trouble at all making my lines. I have nothing bad to say about this company but everyone has their own experience.

I had a friend that was just hired and is being
I'm pretty sure my friend is going to work on the clinic account they advertised for. It clearly states paid for spaces.
Maybe your friend should check with management.
I have friend that makes 5 cpl as IC. She was hired right out of
zz
A friend of mine works for a hospital that has hired a director from one of the hospitals in
Pittsburgh and she wondered if he outsourced a lot of work or what he did when he goes into a new hospital. They have all at home employees now. I believe it was Allegheny Hospital.
They are well known and referred to
x
It is great that you have referred
I have too, and I would suggest others to give them a call. They are a good company to work for and I have been very happy there.
All caps is referred to as shouting. Yes, I know of them...
I don't know about now, but a few years ago I worked for them and had a negative experience.
Not too worry.. I'm just feeling bad that I was probably the one who referred you to them LOL
Before we received the we're sharing our work with our partners speech, I was happily referring them and now I'm in the middle of taking another job. If that one works out and they dont offshore, I'll look you up LOL
The ones I referred to never worked for Keystrokes. sm
They worked for the hospital and then as ICs for the hospital. I did not mean to upset anyone. If you were a mother/daughter team at Keystrokes, and I think I know who as there were 3 and now only 1, then you were well-liked and appreciated. I know for a fact that the owner speaks very highly of all three of the mom/daughter teams, even the two who are gone, saying that she wished they were back.
These two MTs never worked there; they were from the hospital and had never worked anywhere else!
I would never intentionally offend anyone and certainly did not mean to do so by the post. The two who chased Keystrokes off the account were proud of it.
I have never heard ZyloMed referred to... sm
...as ZNF Transcription, although they are in Florida..
I am the person that Sleepy MT referred to
I work for On Time. I worked with Sleepy MT at the same company that was taken over by On Time. As far as the foot pedal, you can use on but they don't recommend it. They use F1, F2, F3 keys to stop, start and rewind. It took some getting used to but is okay. I still prefer the foot pedal though. I do neurology for 4 companies and there have been only a few times that there wasn't work but getting my line quota in is difficult on most days. Part timers are required 500/day or 2500/week. Full time is 1000/day or 5000/week. I do full time and it is difficult to get my 1000 lines in a day since most documents are very short (follow ups, etc). I usually work 8 a.m. to at least 6 p.m. each day. Most work is not available until 9 or 10 unless it is left over from the day before. Like I said, there is work but it is slow most of the time. There is almost never any work on the weekends so if you are planning on doing this on the weekend, this probably isn't for you. I am not sure if they are hiring right now. The jobs posted on the web site have been there forever and I am not sure when they were last updated. As far as the e-mail not working, the person who was in charge (whose e-mail that is) retired and I don't know if they updated or not. I make 0.8 cpl but if it is a template that the doc pulls in, I only get 0.4 cpl. My supervisor is pretty nice but she just took over for my old one who wasn't so great (the old one took the retired person's job). Support is kind of iffy. I find a lot of typos in a lot of the templates. They are a production based company so accuracy is not a high priority for them which really bothers me a lot. Basically, they are an okay company to work for. I am looking for something else part time so I can move down to part time with this though. My hands are wearing out and it takes WAY too much time to get my quota in every day. If you have any more questions, you can e-mail me if you like. Hope this helps.
Where'd my post go? I'm the ŕst person" referred to...
and I was only ASKING how she could be a CMT with only 8 months' experience! That's a legitimate question, I think, because the AAMT website clearly states that MTs must have a minimum of 2 years' acute care experience before testing for their CMT.
I realize a poster later confirmed this, but as my post has been deleted and referred to, I wanted to clarify what I actually said. My post was not insulting. I was asking a question. :-) Thanks-
Curious
It was referred to as stealing in a conference call by mgrs. sm
Your equation doesn't always prove true if there is little work, if a person's primary account is an overflow account, or if it is the last few days of the pay period. If people are scrambling to get jobs on their shifts and someone else comes along who doesn't normally work that shift, but is just doing so out of convenience for themselves, they are taking lines from what little jobs there are from the people who abide by the rules and what they had been asked by management. This is most definitely stealing lines from fellow MLSs. Perhaps you have been fortunate enough to have a primary account that always has heavy volume, and that may account for why you had never been told this by management. But, a good share of accounts aren't like this, and this has repeatedly been addressed by management as a problem issue. If it wasn't a problem, upper management (Larry) would never have brought it up in conference calls and in email.
Not to be referred to as a "scribe" or "typist" or "typing pool." nm

That referred to the MT's applying where I was a recruiter a few years back not to my current te
xx
I think it depends on experience, account hired for, etc. I was hired at .08 per line sm
but after 90 days went to 0.085 and then 0.09 about 90 days after that. I am now at 0.0925 and have been there a year. I have to point out that the line rate might not be the highest but I can verify my counts, have plenty of work, get paid on time and have a great manager. To me, leaving a bad national and the headaches that went with it was well worth the cut in pay I took. Funny thing is that I took a pretty sizable pay cut but make more money ?!?!
I said "about to be" hired... not yet hired, and ........
considering it just like I would consider any job.... I didn't accept the job yet and wanted to check out the info out there.
Tell your friend to RUN (and I do mean RUN)
The best way to describe that place is great money, but job insecurity. They routinely fire MTs without any warning whatsoever for trumped up reasons, and there is a lot of office politics and backstabbing that goes on behind the scenes. They just fired the president of the company a few months ago, and wouldn't even allow him back into the building to get his things. Now if they will treat the president of the company like that, just imagine what they would do to your friend.
friend
r u eleena sylvia wallang...???
Your friend might be able to
contact her local law enforcement agency. There is such a thing as theft of services which might apply. SInce she works at home, the crime happened in her county. It would be worth a try if she has documentation.
My best friend
works for them and loves it there. I am applying for a job there soon. I don't think they give out the equipment anymore but I'm not sure.
I have a friend who had that twice. sm
Her hubby's insurance covered it both times and with 2 different policies.
Your friend needs to go to your
county/local courthouse and sign a complaint for the bad check. Depending on what state you live in, sometimes checks are collectable up to 3x the face amount plus court costs. It's no different than paying the plumber with a bad check. It's a shame one has to go through that to get paid, but she has to do what she has to do, right?
Me, too, my friend....
Me, too.
I found the email an insult to my intelligence.
I could use a friend also.
E-mail me if you wish.
Why would anyone divorce their best friend?
Don't most legitimate psychologists and relationship experts say that couples should be best friends? I don't have a horse in any race and am just reading this board, sifting through the posts and trying to get a feel for who's credible and who isn't. Your post just isn't passing the sniff test and is borderline bizarre, making me wonder how your ex could possibly help a stranger if you're an example of what happens when he spends extended time with someone.
MT friend looking for a company...sm
that she could work just a couple hours a day, do about 300 lines/day or so (sometimes more). Is it possible? She is just unable to work much more than that b/c of a family situation and most places want a certain schedule or 2500 lines/week part time and she is unable to do either at this point. Anyone know of a company that she could check into? A decent company. Thanks.
Who you talking to friend?

How would your daughters friend
know your PIN number? Call United Way or 211 from your land line phone and ask for an agency referral to an agency who can possibly assist you.
I have a friend who is working for them and she also
makes the higher amount. I guess it depends on your test score and the account. They do not pay for spaces but .09 without is almost the same as .075 with so at .10 or .11 you are doing good. Good luck.
My friend used to work for them
And she kept running out of work, then one day they told her she was not producing enough so they scolded her by not sending her any work for 2 weeks, she found another job in the meantime. She said they go by weekly averages so if there is no work of course it brings you down.
Uh uh my friend. The AAMT is JUST as
.
I have a friend who works for them
and loves it, still very happy after a year and a half.
Sorry friend, you misunderstood a bit
I don't have any problem with a premium rate paid to scribes for harder dictators, but don't penalize the rest of the team by *lowering* their rate.
That means the client pays more for more difficult dictations, allowing the premium to be paid to the scribe.
No matter what type of dictation, easy, medium, or difficulty, transcriptionists are highly skilled, and should be paid accordingly.
my friend worked
for diskwriter and said they were a pain; always changing things and a bit demanding. but personally, I don't know..
susan
Not all hackers, my friend.
Somebody tried to steal my identity, and they were in a foreign country. Thank god my credit card caught it in time.
That is just horrible for your friend...
I worked for DSG for over a year and they are constantly running out of work...when they do have a little extra, instead of waiting to see what happens they immediately start hiring again...and the same thing happens over and over....your friend is better off....
I have a friend who had a lap band, and even though
in the face and still, I repeat still, deals with the emotional issues that caused her to overeat in the first place. I am no skinny Minnie, but I know eating is a way to feed an inner problem that needs comfort. I am not obese, so I can't speak of what that feels like either, but even with a lap band you have to diet and exercise. A mental assessment is also a prerequisite. If you can get the problem as to why you overeat and do not exercise and diet, then I think that would be better than having the surgery.
My friend does say she cannot eat everything she wants, but she still complains of the same emotional stresses that she had before the surgery, which tells me this is deep-seeded and not something that can be fixed by having surgery.
The other thing to think about is as you get older how will this effect your body? I think nature has a way of taking care of us even if we are obese. Not all obese people have the same medical problems such as diabetes, arthritis, thyroid disorders, and shortness of breath.
Please think if you can about a way to try exercising first before having an extremely risky surgery that the outcome is not always positive.
I have a friend who works for them - sm
They are AOK. They leave her alone and she enjoys the work.
Not sure how the pay works, but my friend's min. a day is 100
x
I think you are out of line my friend.
To suggest we cannot work a day shift AND post here occasionally is ridiculous. I am your co-worker. I myself take frequent breaks for mind and body reasons, and come here often throughout the day. Lighten up, be happy, and TRY to be helpful :)
My friend just got a job there a few weeks ago...
and they are so far behind in QA that she didn't even get a paycheck yet because her reports haven't cleared QA yet...that is wrong on so many levels..
I have a friend who has been with them for more than a year sm
According to her, they have decreased her line rate twice because of QA errors, but they have never told her what the errors are and she has asked many times. They are always calling and emailing and getting after her about the number of lines she does. One day she will be 20 minutes late getting on the system and they call her. The next day she might be 2 hours late and nothing. She says she has NEVER EVER gotten a single QA feedback anything. It took them a year to cut her line rate the first time and complain about her work, but that was the first she had heard of it because again, no feedback in that time. She also said she has had difficulties getting paid the line rate she was contracted to receive in the first place and after these cuts she has seen her checks reflect a larger cut than they said they would be making.
I had called them one time when I really needed a job, even if it was short term to tie me over until I could get something better. My friend had talked to them about me looking and they said great, have her call we need acute care MTs. I called and was told they have no acute care accounts and have nothing to offer me. They were also a bit rude when I spoke to them.
I have a friend who works for them. She seems

Is your friend IC or employee?
I am thinking that may be part of the difference; company equipment versus providing your own computer...
I had a friend without a contract
She was charged for the IT guy setting her computer in teh amount of 100.00 or something like that. Sounds low, yeah, but the MT never even started working or for some reason there was no work. Well 3 months later, she gets a bill from the lady saying she had to pay this money. The company is a lady name Suanne at p.r.n. Transcription, I believe in Florida, so beware.
I am asking actually for a friend of mine
who has also received responses, tested, and the sound file was horrible. I certainly remember testing myself personally and the sound file was horrible, but she's asking my friend to spend money on different programs, which I think is wrong. I only saw one old post from 2007 where she did not pay after a few weeks of this MT performing services. I personally felt she was sending me too many different e-mails to respond to as she is doing to my friend right now. I just don't want people to be taken advantage of, as her last company name she was going under was called Digital Transcription Services, so why would she change her name, if not to hide from the ones she has not paid. Just be very careful!
Does anyone else have the same issue as my friend?
I have a friend, also an MT, who is a supervisor. There is one MT who, every time you turn around, is playing the kids card to get out of working her share. My kids are sick, I have to take my kids to soccer practice, I'm taking off a day to be with my kids, I'm going Christmas shopping with my kids, etc. The list goes on and on, at least 20 days this past year. She keeps on asking me Should I terminate this MT? I would have done that long ago, but she's too nice for her own good. What do you all think? Have any of you had a co-worker who played the Kids Card all the time?
It depends on what your friend is looking for
These companies are a dime a dozen. If she has a lot of experience, then she'd have her pick. Just check out any of these job board ads and see for yourself. I don't think anyone really recommends any particular company, but Keystrokes, Webmedx, TransTech, and Axotlol seem to be popular.
I have a friend who worked with me at MQ
and she went to DRC the same time I went to MDI. She told me a few months ago that Acusis (the Indian company) had purchases DRC and that changes were in the works. I have never worked for either DRC or Acusis but I really don't think Linda would have any reason to lie.
How come her friend left her?
Where did your pal go that was on your side? Did she ditch you or what? You finally had some support and she split. Awww, too bad! Oh wait, your pal told you to stop wasting your time, you agreed, but now you are telling us how much you could care less once again. That's right, my mistake. So, tell us again how much you don't care.
You are dead right, my friend
That's right, it did come from an apparently specifically-created email account, so it would not have come back undeliverable. Someone was on the other end of that email account, and apparently the Yahoo Fraud Group contacted them.
Obviously the VP wanted the poster aware of the fact that her 'resignation' had been accepted. In the VPs position, I would have been mortified if an employee informed me they had NOT resigned and that was in fact not their email address. A cursory glance would have proven to the VP that this 'resignation' email came from a different (yet deceptively similar) email account.
I think this entire situation reeks and I hope the OP has all of this documentation printed off and seeks legal counsel. I remember her posting about All Type discontinuing the hourly rate and only paying the per-line rate, and although I have not searched the archives to re-read that post, I certainly do not recall her saying she was resigning because of it, nor do I recall other posted 'rants' as indicated by the 'about seeing an attorney' post. I also do not believe the OP even mentioned All Type by name in her original post about having her hourly salary cut, so I'm wondering how her alleged co-worker even knew that was an All Type employee.
Too many questions with no apparent explanations.
