the posting is the exact same posting as you read on the
job seekers board. It is under state boards
I read at the BL report
and the change in keystroke pay thing for the near future remaining the same smells fishy. Didn't the new guy go on and on about wanting to keep very good MTs and a willingness to pay people what they are worth. I always thought my pay rate was fine. Now I wonder if it is going to decrease.
Posting -- PLEASE READ (SM)
I think there has been some misunderstanding about some forum posting policies. I'm going to clarify them here and then have a statement added to the top of the page, separate from the posts, so that all posters can review them at anytime.
First -- No foul language. This includes swearing words such as damn; this includes using an inappropriate word and filling it in with asteriks, i.e., s***. This also includes using inappropriate phrases, i.e., what the ? or acronyms, i.e., WTF.
Second -- No e-mail addresses, phone numbers (not even toll-free numbers), or information identifying other individuals.
Third -- No company-specific information, i.e., account names, privileged information, posting of internal memorandums/communication, etc. Company names themselves are, indeed, permitted. Do not name specific accounts or copy/paste the memo that made you upset at work.
Fourth -- No harassing, stalking, or impersonating other posters. This means not following them around on the boards. No threats. No violent posts. No vulgar or crude posts.
You can disagree and post your disagreement but it has to be done with respect. Be cautious of the language and format (all caps is generally considered yelling) used in your posts. Intent is not always easily discernible in this media.
Remember, you are always responsible for what you post. Regardless of what happens in your personal or professional life or in this industry - you must abide by posting policy or you simply will not post here.
If you leave a valid e-mail address for Reply-By-E-Mail option and your post is deleted, I will e-mail you why it was deleted; otherwise, you will just have to guess.
If these mild structural policies on posting are offensive to you, this isn't the place for you to be. If you want to argue them, take it to the Administrator (admin@mtstars.com).
These policies may be adjusted as necessary.

Posting job solicitations, etc. PLEASE READ
We have a resume service available to provide exposure for MTs looking for work. As well, we have a Job Seekers board to see what positions companies are taking applications for.
Please use these services and not clog up the traffic on the boards with individual solicitations for employment.
Always remember -- no personal information in any post; no client names or account names; please don't ask what companies handle transcription for certain hospitals/clinics, etc.
If you have any questions on where to put a post, etc., please e-mail me. I am happy to help you.
Thank you,
Goldbird
read the posting carefully...sm
I specifically put an end date to accepting applications because seems like I get them for the rest of my life. Also anyone who sends one after my applications close gets put on my junk mail list and I never see 'em again. That's what they get for not following directions.
I read all read all the threads in the "companies" section
of another board, MT Chat, and Googled each one that got positive reviews. If they had a website and a way to apply online, I did so. And that was how I got hired at TRS. They were not advertising at the time. By sheer coincidence I applied to Transcend just before I applied to TRS, and they were not interested in what I had to offer at the time. And now they've got me anyway, since they bought TRS. Interesting how things work out sometimes.
Companies with negative reviews, or company queries that got only a terse I sent you a PM reply, I passed over.
I read your post. What do you want me to re-read?
and it seems those are your posts, too, so things just didn't add up and seemed inconsistent. If a place dropped me down to p.r.n. at 7 cpl or whatever and I already had another job where I could get 1000-1500 lines, I wouldn't give the first place a second thought so just couldn't figure out why anyone else would.
Rad report pay - sm
Wish I knew where you got $1.35 as a norm. The most I've ever been offered was $1.25 and that was for Meditech radiology, the pits. Care to share where you got this norm? TIA
KS rad report pay - sm
Recent interview I had stated $1.10 report, and $2.25 report for specials (interventional exams), but the rest of the pay scale didn't turn me on. They don't pay for each exam under the specials, ( no linking for angio/TPA/cath insertion, etc), figuring the $2.25 would cover it, but no way does that make up for the length of some of those exams. Wasn't my cup of tea.
Pay per report. sm
I worked there for a while. Got $1.25 per report but the reports were very long and the platform horrible. Wasn't worth it.
per report
I agree with the person who said if its plain films that are typed then go with per report price.
pay per report
MedQuist pays per report for Radiology and uses Meditech.
Thanks - doing rad and by report
so not sure how that will work. Thanks!
WOW $3.50 report?
I want to work where YOU work! That's the most I've heard.
Also, per report - sm
Per report pay is only as good as the platform, and only IF you get paid for links, like CT ABD/PELVIS being dictated as one report, but you get paid for two reports, etc. Platform and company policy has a lot to do with profitability being paid by report. Lots of things to consider.....
Their MTs need to report them to the IRS - nm
Pay per report
Can anyone tell me what the pay per report might be? They say each page is 42 lines and each report is approx 2 pages. Does anyone know the going rate per report? Or is there such a thing?
why would you take 1 h for a 4-5-min report...
even if it is difficult? Why not just send it to QA, get a 2nd set of ears, or something? That's just too long.
Does anyone actually report this
I also totally agree. I see this on here a lot but I am wondering if anyone has reported any of these companies. I know I did with one. Has anyone else done so?
Nothing will change if people don't take any action.
.75 per report
Yes and I asked what type of reports you would be typing? she said it included MRIs, CTs, interventional radiology. I do wish she was joking, what MT with 5 years of experience would transcribe radiology for .75/report?
Do all of the above and then report them to the IRS...
nm
MDI-MD Anything new to report
Mixed reviews in the archives. Going from employee to IC and wondered if I should try. Thanks in advance for your feedback. Nothing that recent, so before I sent info to them, I thought I'd see how it is these days.
Thanks!
I just did a report--sm
with spaces 913/65=14.046 x .9=1.264
w/o spaces 765/55=13.745 x.9=1.237
That would be a .2 per report difference. If you did 100 reports per day it would be a $20 difference and a $200 difference in a 10 day pay period.
I do not think it evens out.
Alt H Anyone know how to go to end of report? sm
I'm wondering if there are Keystrokes to go to the end of the report on the Bayscribe player? Thanks!
If you report them to the IRS
do you have to give your name. If you do, aren't you just screwing yourself out of a job?
Maybe if we report them...
There are some serious personality issues at TTS. Even though one of the owners no longer has continuous contact with the MTs, the people who do are simply clones of her with the same micromanaging, domineering, threatening behavior.
I found this on how the company could be punished for treating ICs as employees:
If it finds a company guilty of misclassifying its workers, the IRS might require the company to pay all back withholding taxes plus interest, even if the misclassified independent contractors have already paid their taxes. The IRS might also levy huge fines and press criminal charges against the company officials. Once the IRS moves in, it opens the doors for the other agencies to collect their due. If there's anything left, the misclassified independent contractors might collect, too. Misclassified independent contractors have successfully sued for unemployment insurance, stock options, overtime pay, retirement benefits, profit sharing, disability payments, workers' compensation and more, in so-called permatemps and related lawsuits.
Pay per report
I have worked in Rad doing pay per report. I would not work for less than 1.25-1.50 per report. Some companies (hospitals) will pay as high as 2.00 per report.I don't know any Rad. MT who would work for 75 cents per report.
Thanks,
Ellen
Pay by report?
Are there many places left that pay this way?
What posting? (nm)
a
posting over and over
One reason these people keep posting is that they have multiple openings and are looking for the right fit.
Thanks for posting this. I know where I won't end up!
Thanks for the tip. You can bet I will not be posting anything
about pay scale again, LOL. I was just trying to share something good and it backfired. Oh well, that's what I get for being happy I guess.
there was a posting...
about how they may require you to purchase expensive dictation equipment and you would always be out of work.
they say only 2 out of 10 will actually be hired. i applied with them. They send you a tape to transcribe with simple specs. i heard from them about 3 weeks later, and of course i failed.
if you go for it, im sure you'll do better as i only have 1.2 years experience with radiology. good luck.

You obviously have not read the posting policies.
Company names can be used. It is individual accounts that cannot be discussed nor any information that identifies individuals at companies or otherwise. No company-specific information (i.e., internal memos, etc.).
I suggest you read the posting policies immediately. If you have any problems with any policy, you need to e-mail either myself (moderator@mtstars.com) or the Administrator (admin@mtstars.com). Either way, anymore of these petty complaints about posting poicies are going to be deleted.
in re of me posting
Are you on some kind of drugs? If not, maybe you need some. The original poster was only stating something that happened, you took it waaaay overboard chickie poo. Ease up. Life is short!
Thanks for posting! (sm)
If I am reading your post correct, it seems that the high producers would not triple their lines but someone transcribing lower lines would see a better increase. Does that sound about right?
One more question - what is your opinion on the platform for VR?
Thank you, again!
no one knows who is posting except to say....
website owners can see who is posting, see the IPS/DNS and what OS (operating system) many poster is on so this website CAN/COULD hold folks responsible for their posts.
Thank you for posting this!
They are advertising for radiology MTs and I was considering applying with them. Not gonna happen.....
Thank you all for posting. Appreciate it! nm

There is more than one ME posting here :)
but I'm not one who believes your company is supplying work to Barbados.
Instead there is an *appearance* of mining the workforce there for a CHEAPER labor force than what you can find in the U.S.
Where are your 200 online students located? In the US?
:)
another posting...
I see this person has posted again today. Is there anyway to check if this is a legitimate company? It is kinda hard to tell with an aol email address
Thank you for posting that, SM
It sounds as if our experiences were very similar. I'm leaving at the end of next week. I can tell from your posts we were on the same large account.
I thought it was just ME. I was working hard too, trying to learn all the gazillons of doctors and locations, etc. and my line counts were in the toilet. I have 10 plus years of experience so I'm NOT a newbie. My DH and I figured I am making about $800/month less than I was a year ago at this time. Yep, it was THAT bad.
Oh, and nice people. Really nice people to deal with most of the time. However, nice isn't paying my bills!!
Anyway, thanks for posting, because it's really good to hear I'm not the only one! I feel so isolated working there.
Happy Thanksgiving!
I have seen someone posting they had 15
accounts in their profile and that they had no work a couple of months ago. Who in the world wants 15 sets of account specifics to deal with and hundreds of dictators.
I'm so glad I left Webmedx. I now have 1 account that has enough work for me to work 24/7 if I want to.
Thanks for posting
I was thinking to supplement or do 2 part time. I have used DQS and really like it, maybe just because I got used to it, I don't know. I just don't like the feeling of being at the mercy of having income dependent on only one source, especially when things slow down and everyone seems to have TAT of about 30 seconds anymore on what is there. Anyway, thanks again for the info!
Hey where did u see a job posting for them?
Maybe if i reapply and get rehired they will PAY me the several thousand they already owe me! Yeah right! Run as far away as possible. Seriously though, please share with us the hiring process because I guarantee you at least 9 people are on the lookout and are dying to know.
What does sm and nm mean when posting?
Trying to learn the lingo!
?? Who IS this guy, & why is he posting all this
Why does he think any of us CARE about office politics in India?
