It is only $39.95 and that includes the first year of telephone service and you can buy the second year for $19.95. I hope it is as good as the review says! That is $49 a month I will be saving on phone bills.

thanks, i just ordered one from Dell also...
Inspiron that could be customized with XP.
I accidently ordered an IVP for a hospital patient! sm
When I was 18, I was a unit coordinator on TCU (of all floors), and was ordering lab tests. All tests were 4 digits. I was off by 1 digit and instead of ordering a 24 hour creatinine clearance, I ordered someone an IVP! Had they been allergic to the contrast, they seriously could have died! I didn't get half the wrath it sounds like your pharmacist is gonna get! I did however, get written up. Thank God, nothing happened! I realize you are being inconvenienced, but can you honestly say you are perfect 100% of the time, even on the job? Of course not!
MagicJack
I hope you all don't mind, but I thought I would pass along some information.
You may have seen the commercials on Television for this new phone service: MagicJack, which only costs $20 per year! I use magic jack for my home phone service and I love it. I think that through the end of 2009 you can purchase 5 more years of service for just $60 more - $100 for 6 years of service and the hardware!!!
Unfortunately there was one really BIG drawback when I started using a dictaphone: it doesn't work! :( I could login to the system and get into the dictation, but then the hotkeys and foot pedal did not work.
However, if you have a home office and you write it off as a business expense you can use magicjack for your voice line and basically get the cost rebated to you in your tax return - you can get that much back!
Okay, the pros and cons:
You cannot import an existing phone number: the big name companies will not allow it. But, once you are assigned a phone number that number sticks with your equipment, so you don't have to pay to transfer your number to a new location.
You have E911 service: just make sure to keep your address up to date!
sound quality is like that of vonage or logo or any other router/internet based service
one small piece of equipment: the size of a thumb drive, just plug in and it downloads the software automatically, plug in your phone and you are good to go.
you have to have high speed internet and you always have to have your tower on
your caller ID box or phone may not work, the caller ID comes up as software on your computer/monitor.
As long as you are calling in North America you have no long distance charges: magicjack service does not recognize long distance: you always dial the area code, whether it is across the street or across the country.
you can have your voicemails sent as .WAV files to your email account
You have a phone book: just double click and pick up the handset and your call is made. You can also copy and paste phone numbers from the contact us pages, no more mixed up numbers!
I thought I would share this because one of my last positions I had to use a dictaphone, but it took a week to get a land line in and that was after a night of headaches because I was not told that it would not work with MagicJack...maybe it will save someone else that same headache :)
MagicJack
I love my MagicJack too, I've had it for over a year now. I especially like it when my dad was in Africa it only cost a couple of cents a minute to call clear to Africa along with the free US
MagicJack (Amanda's post)
I ordered it, but haven't been able to get it to work right. I'm thinking it's something dumb on my part, as a friend of mine says her daughter has it (in NY) and does fine. The location should make no difference, of course. I'm really not sure what I'm doing wrong.
Just so you know, there's no 800# to call, contrary to what my friend told me. I've surfed around to find out what others have said about it, and the vast majority like the thing, so at some point I hope to get it to work.
Maybe when you get it you'll post an update on it. It arrived here really fast. Good luck to ya.
but even better is magicjack, which is only $19.95 a year for service!

I use Magicjack with Escription and Dictaphone
