and it's been a wonderful employment experience. They were very timely in responding to my resume and setting up an interview, and I had an immediate job offer. My account is great and so is my manager. Everything that I was told in the interview has proven to be true. I plan to make this my long-time home. I feel so blessed to have found this company.

It took a couple of months
I got behind on bills and had to move on.
When I last talked to them a couple months ago, I believe it was
nm
I interviewed with them a couple of months ago ...
From what I can remember when I searched the archives they seemed to be one of the better companies. The recruiter, Rhonda, is great, very friendly, very knowledgeable. I decided, however, to go with a smaller company, one that focuses on clinic notes, where I have a Mon-Fri schedule and could not be happier.
Hope that this helps a little.
Worked there for 2 yrs and left a couple months ago.
Couldn't take working with unqualified people any longer. A very unprofessional company.
I started at amphion a couple of months ago
and I love it! I stay on the same account and never run out of work. They are BEGGING for overtime, which they do pay extra for. The people are so nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend trying them out. Good luck.
Just left Precyse a couple months ago and it
was still that same way. Nothing has changed, but the work coming from India has improved.
Left a couple of months ago and the plan will not
change until end of October. Do you want family or just employee and children? If I remember correctly - the employee plus child(ren) was running about 225+ a paycheck and family (employee + spouse and/or children) was running high 300s per paycheck.
I've been following your posts for a couple of months now
and I advised you long ago this was not a reliable service - unless I am mistaken - and I could be. And my biggest question - are you absolutely positive you will get insurance with them? Last time I knew they hired ICs only. Truthfully, I would go for the unemployment and find another job with another service.
They sent an email asking for leads a couple of months ago
Did you try and weren't chosen, or for some reason not want to be a lead?
I left a couple of months for the same thing. The prior
3 months I was lucky to get in 800 lines a day. I had a couple of days where I got maybe 4 reports. I would sit in front of my computer for 12 hours/day, checking every 5 minutes, and still couldn't get my lines with 3 different accounts.
They hire away ahead of time for new accounts and after training they have to do something with them until the account goes live so they put them on other accounts temporarily and then there isn't enough work for the regulars.
When I first started running out of work I watched the backlog report to see where an account might have a big backlog and there were 3 or 4 who were on OT most of the time, but when I asked to be put on one of those accounts I was told no. There were many days that it looked like half the accounts had a 0 backlog. Then they started hiring for 3-day weeks and 4-day weeks so there was no work on weekends to try to make up your lines/hours.
I do know Webmedx bought TransHealth a couple of months ago. nm
xx
When I was hired about 3 months ago they had
approximately 600 employees, not sure how many of those were MTs. I know they have had several MTs since then and are hiring now.
I give her a couple more months and she will take a serious nose dive. She has to keep replacing he
and start all over cheating them out of money.
TransTech LOW and NO WORK consistently for many months now, especially within the past couple
of months when they thought they were getting a new account and hired everyone who called or submitted a resume. There is just NO WORK for all of us anymore. Lost account, so what did they do -- put those MT's piled on top of us on our primary account.
TT is in serious trouble, I do believe, financially. If they are having to pay MANY MT's, but have few accounts, they won't last for long. Who is TT's financial backer????? Do they have one???? Who owns TT??? I once heard a real estate broker owned them. Wonder how much rent they pay on their office in Houston??? Wonder how many $$$$ in bonuses they are giving out to mgmt-type people????
We TT MT's are seriously hurting financially and getting very stressful on our health and livelihood. We hear absolutely nothing from mgmt about this situation, but *good things* are coming. You remember when the Q said the same thing to their MT's a few years ago and it was only beneficial to mgmt. It was a real crock!!!!!
I must say that my job that I used to enjoy beginning my shift every day is now the MOST stressful thing in my life, and we ALL have stressors of one kind of another, admit or not. TT has become the biggest stress in my life, without a doubt. A doctor friend of mine and my own personal doctors say that is what my problem is.
These MTSO's have gotten just as greedy as GMC and all those other HUGE conglomerates!
I have 8 years, was hired 6 months ago and it was the best sm
move I ever made. I am happy with lots of work, a good paycheck that is time and a great manager.
Maybe they did not have an opening or maybe your references did not check out. I know they checked because my old boss told me they did.
I was hired by a company 2 months ago.
They downloaded everything they needed on my computer, sent me pedals and now just waiting for training. My question is this - How long does this normally take. I have never had to wait this long to get started (not even with Keystrokes). I have sent several emails and have called the office several times and am told the same thing ---- still waiting on the hospital, we are extremely busy, etc.
I'm seriously considering sending their pedals back to them and chalking it up but I would like to know your thoughts on how you would (have) handle this. TIA
I think they're great. Hired on a few months ago.
No problem so far!
I hired on about 3 months ago and was told then Monday a.m. (sm)
might be sketchy at times due to so many people scheduling themselves day shift. I don't mind really, I came from Medquist and now when I run out of work and have to flex my time it is on my schedule. I don't have to schedule a time to make up work, i.e. Friday thru Sunday and MQ wanted me pinned down as to EXACT hours I would be on working.
The accounts I am on are smaller than I am used to (both under 500 beds) but they seem to keep me in work most of the time. Smaller accounts and overflow accounts can be a killer though.
Good luck. Hope it gets better for you today. I am still in the honeymoon phase but I really love it here.
You will be hired fast and then wait weeks or months for work...SM
You may be asked to invest in expensive equipment, likely to run out of work regularly and not have your calls returned when you try to contact them. They do pay well but the work is NOT there more than it is, so great pay doesn't mean much. They sell it to you great but they don't deliver.
Several months ago a company called Charts in Time (CIT) hired some MTs off here. Just wondering how
it turned out for those MTs as I turned it down and wondered if I should have taken the job. Thanks.
I think it depends on experience, account hired for, etc. I was hired at .08 per line sm
but after 90 days went to 0.085 and then 0.09 about 90 days after that. I am now at 0.0925 and have been there a year. I have to point out that the line rate might not be the highest but I can verify my counts, have plenty of work, get paid on time and have a great manager. To me, leaving a bad national and the headaches that went with it was well worth the cut in pay I took. Funny thing is that I took a pretty sizable pay cut but make more money ?!?!
TransTech and low/no work for months and months _ don't think there are continous holidays LOL
This HORRIBLE low/no work situation has been going on at TT for almost a year now. You can't convince me it is due to Memorial Day. Are holidays now assigned in this world to being daily.
That is an excuse these companies use in these no work situations, but it is due to their OVERHIRING. Holidays just come on a daily basis, but LOW WORK/NO WORK is happening and has happened going on a year now at TransTech. Always asking to flex into the middle of the night, EVERY weekend, etc.
The TT mgmt checks are NEVER affected, tho, so they can continue to HIRE EVERY MT who gives them a call, and create a NO WORK situation for all of us. The newbie MT's are cheering at first, but then realize that it hit them in the paycheck, too, and very soon it did!!!!!!!
My company has been low on work for months and months..sm
Tired of getting the same ol' message that things will pick up. I remember the days of bonuses, making money and being able to pay my bills! I am also wondering what is going with these companies not having work. Is everybody sending work overseas?
I said "about to be" hired... not yet hired, and ........
considering it just like I would consider any job.... I didn't accept the job yet and wanted to check out the info out there.
A couple
Lee Perfect I believe and TTS. Try putting your resume up as well. I got a ton of hits off of here and another transcription job board and another job website. Not allowed to give you names of the sites though.
There are a couple of ways....
You can either use Alt+tab and that will switch you toggle you between programs or you can just keep a notebook and write down the acc#. I thought this was going to really hurt my production but after you get use to doing it, it doesn't really seem to be a big deal at all. Good luck!
It took me a couple of weeks...
had to get all those shortcuts in but once you get used to it, it is okay. I always keep track of how many reports I do and I don't look at line count until I do so many. I can get my required line count in 6 hours or less and when I first started it was a lot longer than that. So, it does get better.
A couple questions
Do they hire part-time? Do you need a C-phone or are they internet based?
Thanks
...couple more questions if you can...
Tested for radiology, but I can do acute care. Can you tell me about the rotating weekends? How many weekends do you actually end up working over about a 3-month period? Does the software have a built-in expander?
Thanks!
I have a couple questions
Do they hire part time? The website mentions Word 2000. Does it have to be Word 2000 or will a newer version work, i.e. Word 2002?
a couple more questions
What is the minimum line count you need with them for part-time and if you need to work outside of your schedule or type earlier/later in the day, how flexible are they with that? Thanks for the info!
Just a couple questions
How is the platform?
Is rigid schedule required for full-time?
Are there production bonuses?
Thank you!
Yup. Same here. Just started a couple
of months ago with promises of good accounts, never run out of work, etc. I really regret going with them. Now looking for something else. What a disappointment! Same thing with Medware in the past. So don't look there either. These companies over-hire and offshore, and this is what happens. Ugh.
A couple of questions for you...
What do you mean by acquired 3 private accounts through them? They are your accounts? You bill them, collect the money? Or they are small accounts that only you do? Not sure what you meant there.
If you have no benefits, are you an IC? If you are an employee with no benefits, I'd be looking elsewhere. If you're not being paid what an IC would make, you're getting the short end of the stick.
If you are an IC, you'd need to rewrite your contract at the end of the contract period.
If you're an employee, go for it. Ask for what you feel you deserve. If they value what you do enough, they should be able to meet your needs (especially if they're getting away with not paying benefits!).
Best of luck!
I used it a couple of times and liked it. nm

Thanks-couple more questions
This helped some. What is their line count requirement and is it pretty attainable? Also, is 40 hours considered full time or can you work less than that for full time? Again, thanks.
There's only a couple of accounts that way....sm
the majority of them don't have that type of set-up with the client and there's generally plenty of work available between a primary and secondary account to keep you busy.
As far as communication goes, I've received at least 1 e-mail a day on my account advising what the status of it was and any additional information that needed to be passed along. If you use an e-mail service such as hotmail you have to check your junk folder as sometimes your e-mail system will think their valid e-mails are junk mail and filter them out.
A couple reasons
Their VR software isn't as good as eScription, which is what I really like. It doesn't put in any punctuation unless the doctor dictates it. While you train, you get 2 cpl with a max pay between 3 and 4 cpl after training. It sounded way too labor intensive for that pay.
A couple of questions
TTS does this to all of ICs. She literally will call MTs and threaten your job because you are not on the schedule for your hours. I was let go because of not working my set hours, yet I did my line count on a daily basis that I said I would do. Who would you report this to? Would you report to the DOL or the IRS?
I did this a couple of years ago--SM
Hospital benefits were great. Acct managed by Diskriter staff. I had a decent acct manager but I have heard some of them have not been that good (the person I worked for has since left). I used Chartscript, I like that platform, but the lines were tough to come by. I normally would do a good 1500-1600 lines a day at my previous job (and at jobs I have had since Diskriter) with about 6 good hours of working and for some reason it took a full 8-hour day to get 1300 lines with Diskriter. That is why I left.
It has been a couple of years since I was there
.
Yes and no. Went through this a couple of weeks ago.,
Hired for new account that didn't come on-line as projected. Extended training/staging time that at least we got paid for, but half of what I make transcribing and then when we went live there was no little work for week we were lucky to get 4 reports a day. Other accounts were low so couldn't give us a backup, but looks like most accounts are back to producing again and lots of OT now.
My situation isn't quite the same, but the result was the same and I sympathize with you. When you have bills to pay you need to be making the lines.
Couple things (SM)
#1 -- All caps is considered shouting.
#2 -- Spheris has been discussed here extensively. Do a search first -- you might find all the info. you need.
Couple of advantages
No harm in doing your own - but I have been audited and it was not fun. This fellow is my new accountant I do believe. If after 20 years of IRS management he has no clue how to do my taxes, then I am dead in the water. You might have a CPA do your taxes one year and then use it as your guide. I just feel far and away safer from my own experience than having to worry about it. He also said to save all records for 6 years. The IRS can go 3 years back on one audit.
I did a couple of years ago.
If it is the same company, they pay weekly (nice), and are such nice people. Everyone in the office was readily available to answer questions. The only downside was they did not have a platform at that time. Work was received and sent via FTP files, and I prefer to work on an actual platform.
Yes, a couple of ways (sm)
The reason you are being told that is because ExText (WordClient) must be installed in the C directory. There are a couple of ways around this. You can have your computer set up to dual boot or you can set up a virtual machine on your computer. As long as it thinks it is C it will allow a second install (or more) on one computer.
a couple questions
Also, how do they calculate VR lines, and can you get a good line count?
I have been with them for a couple of years-sm
and I say they are great. Don't know anything at all about bait and switch - could be happening but it did not happen to me. I am with Shirley on the 9/10 because come on- it is a job. Probably account, account managers, things like that make a lot of difference but I say the management right up to the owner of this company are top of the line. Every issue I have ever had with them has been addressed fairly and settled fairly. I say talk to them.
A couple of years ago...sm
I had KU as a back-up account when I worked for MedQuist. I don't know if they outsourced all or their work to MQ or not.
Diskriter does, or at least did a couple
xx
I agree with QA. There is no way a couple of sm
commas are dragging your score down that low. As a matter of fact, on normal QA scoring, you're not actually deducted the full amount for each instance of punctuation. You'll have the full amount for the first one or two (and it's not a hefty amount of points) and the others will be repeat errors. For a score that low, you're either omitting dictation or have incorrect/misuse of terminology. Those are the items that drag your score down.
