Where in the world have you been girlfriend. I have posted here on many occasion that there is often NO work at that place.
I have warned that if you rely on YOUR paycheck to pay bills, you had better look elsewhere.
There are many others who have posted the very same message. Since Geogie boy likes for folks to come straight to the source (his words) to get the truth, maybe you should give him a call.
Sten Tel is a joke. I am always leary of mid to large size MTSOs who do not offer statutory or employee status positions...ONLY IC. I should have listened to my little voice before I took a job there. They could give a rats (you know what) if you have work or not. If there isn't any work, there isn't any pay. Move on sweetie. You will be waiting until the cows come home.

They ding you for everything. From what I gather, the few editors they have are very inexperienced and they have an automatic grader that takes lines from you. The account specifics are very vague and often times do not match the examples given. For example, the example may show to do a report one way and if you do it that way, the Editor may mark it wrong and you lose lines. My first week, I lost 60.00 for the most minor of things and things I could verify in the BOS. Nobody will respond when you try to get verification. My check was short, nobody would respond to that either. I left after just 3 weeks. I would stay away from this bunch.
I personally would rather be warned of
a company's questionable business practices and stay away from them altogether than find out after I had been hired by them and got screwed out of my pay.
Dont you wish someone would have warned you?...
I have gotten a lot of grief for trying to warn people about what was happening to me and others and that it would soon be happening to a large majority of you. I think it is a duty that we should all have. Why would you let someone else go through something horrible if you could possibly stop it. I loved the "old" Transcend and its management--not too happy with the "new" Transcend or its management. However, that is my opinion. I see there are many others with the same opinion, and these number will continue to grow if Transcend does not wake up. I was a "Current Transcender" until now. I just can't do it anymore. I tried to fight the good fight and hold on to them (at least until I found something else better), but my children need to eat, and I have a mortgage and bills to pay. I can no longer be a Transcend cheerleader. I was a cheerleader in the past and referred other MTs to the company (all of whom left before I did), but it is just a really "bad" place to work as far as wages go. I have to do what is best for me now. I can't go bankrupt for Transcend. Thank God I had the wisdom to find another job to supplement early on in this "transition" process. If not, I would be homeless now. I certainly do not wake up every day with my only purpose being to bash Transcend. I had to be honest with myself and others or I couldn't sleep at night. I wish all of you the best and hope you and Transcend figure it all out before it is too late for you.

Don't come back saying you weren't warned!
Why bother to ask for feedback if you ignore it?
All new MT's should be warned that the money paid for
Focus Infomatics- I was warned, have no one to blame but myself.
They are the most disorganized company I have ever tried working for. After signing you on, it takes 3 weeks to months before actually working. I was eventually emailed by team lead welcoming me to the company giving me the name of the account I was on, and that I would be pleased to know that it was a very GOOD account. They set up training, which was 25 minutes. Thank goodness it was a program I was familiar with. I was emailed the account specs, and sure enough it seemed to be a relatively good account. Then I had to wait 3 days before getting username and ID to get into system. After getting ID, ID did not work. After a week, I IM'd team lead asking if she knew when I would be up and running.. She says Oh you're not working yet, I'll call my supervisor. I get an email this morning from someone from Timbuktu asking to get into my computer to download another account. This particular account, I had heard about on the forum was a terrible account. After approximately 1 month of not being set up to work, I call it quits. They won't hear from me again until they call asking for their footpedal.
Take note of "hiring spree" - be warned you will soon run sm
out of work and be working 10 hours a day every day of the week to get work. Yes, I have multiple accounts and will run out of work in a few months. They always assume they will be getting these big accounts and when they don't we are the ones who struggle.
Don't say no one warned you. They are doing away with part-time MTs. Heard it directly from th

I really hope you'd get an advanced warned before you noticed it on your check.
I think for one occurence you should receive a notice, emailed, so you receive it sooner stating that you were in jeopardy of losing your insurance if quotas are not met in a payperiod. To just cut someone's insurance with no notice and no opportunity to tell their side, to me, that would be harsh and cold. I mean if that is the case, then I would be upset. I have been there working for them 7 days a week and are in there helping whenever they ask for extra help. I usually take no days off. I understand big business but I also understand that what keeps you at a company is a return of the loyalty that you have shown them for years. I'm hoping for the best...
