Now I know why so many people do not like these boards. I did not write anything bad or over the top. I simply stated facts. I agree with the others and will now observe but not post. This is craziness here. If someone asks a question, I guess they would rather have answers from those that do not know the real answers. Call the company if you have questions from this point out. The phone number and web site are not secret.

Well... it is common knowledge
that the whole QA department is the laughingstock of the industry. What a joke... unbelievable. They wrote the book on inside politics. You never get promoted with this company unless you are in the right clique. Truly the blind leading the blind. Coordinators aren't even that bad. QA department in a league of its own. Now that I'm gone I can look back and laugh - really laugh. LOL LOL
Keystrokes is and will not send work out of the country. sm
The owners feel strongly about that.
Is it common to send a copy of ID and S.S. Card for IC position?
x
TO LTMT: You posted below that you work FT for Keystrokes (sm)
and PT for Smart-Med. I work for KS and I didn't think I could work for anyone else. I thought I remembered reading something about it in the Employee Handbook when I was hired. New handbooks are coming out this week...but just wondered if it really is OK with KS to work PT for someone else. TIA.
ha!!! I knew it. I QA'd a few reports and every common phrase was wrong.
DISGUSTING!!!!!
Perhaps you posted under the wrong thread?
The thread asked if any company other than MQ offered a signon bonus.
Nothing about mergers in this thread. ?????
I'm sorry. Posted to the wrong board.
Thanks.
WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! We turn down work because so many hospitals are sm
calling wanting a company that keeps work in the USA. The trend was stronger a few years ago before it all came to light about poor quality, the woman in Pakistan who threatened to post medical records on the web, 911, etc. There are hospitals who look for US-only and they are the MAJORITY not the minority. Definitely seeing the tide turn on offshore from an MTSO perspective, both MTs and customers!!!!!
Before I get screamed at sorry I posted on the wrong board....
my apologies.
You're wrong. You have posted many times
about QT, always trying to start something. You've even posted things making it sound as if you work there, and you say you don't. Why do you need to know what is going on if you don't work there? Things are well at QT, despite all the garbage a few months ago. They are not hiring so any information about pay, work load, etc. isn't needed.
Wrong number posted, maybe, rather than intentional? nm

Oops. Posted in wrong thread. Please
nm
Sorry about Tiazac. Posted on wrong place.
.
oops..went back 2 far and posted on wrong board
sorry
I posted on the wrong board .. sorry. But the bank said since she had my passcode (I stupidly sm
kept it hidden in my billfold) that I am liable. My concern is that while I am fighting everything, I will end up on the street. Work had been light and was just trying to turn around, and now this. Sorry to have whined. Desperate times, desperate measures, I guess.
Whoever posted TT pays 1.5 for holidays worked or not is TOTALLY WRONG !
TT pays for NO holidays any day of the year. It is paid at 1.5 line rate ONLY if you work those fingers to the bone that day.
Only those who work inside the office building GET PAID and GET TIME OFF, too. LOCKED DOORS ! Who made that policy? Great policy for mgmt. and other office staff. sigh
Oh no, offshor't'ing is a terrible thing
no message.
I work for this company. To my knowledge, my DD's have ... SM
A-L-W-A-Y-S been in the bank on time and usually early, and I have worked for this cmopany for nearly 5 years.
Now, I don't know what happened to affect the DD this time, and I myself have not gotten my check as of noon on the day after payday. However, I do live out of state, and I know for a fact that someone who lives closer to the office that I do has already received hers.
Can we not just give the company the benefit of the cout this one time? Can we not, just this once, accept tha maybe an error occurred, or an emergency, or some other mishap, and wait and see if everything works out to our advantage by the next pay period? Saying that this company should not be in business is really jumping the gun!
I have a feeling that if you have automatic withdrawals that are affected by this situation, if you will talk to management, they will probably work with you with some kind of a reimbursement. They have always been more than fair with me in anything I have ever asked.
I realize that paydays are not to be fooled around with, but come on, haven't they A-L-W-A-Y-S paid us correctly?
Wrong. TT and Keystrokes have been
companies that have been highly recommended by employees for at least 2 years, maybe longer. I worked for TT for over a year, and found them to be extremely honest and fair and kind. I went though a serious depression due to personal problems and just not being suited to working inside alone anymore. Therefore I found a completely different job, but TT didn't give up on me because they value quality, which is the one thing I kept delivering, even if my numbers went down into the dumpster. I agree with the poster who said that the people claiming they have a better company will never post the name. Possible reasons are that these are small companies that can't handle hundreds of resumes being emailed weekly for jobs. That's a good reason, but what it means is that they can't employ the numbers of people that TT and Keystrokes can. TT and KS manage all these different accounts and all these employees with great skill; it's a huge undertaking. Smaller MTSOs either don't want the headaches or haven't gained the reputation for quality that it takes to build a company to these sizes. So if you work for a tiny company, stop telling people who work for bigger companies that they are getting a raw deal - your small MTSO can't hire masses of people so what's the point of comparing them?
The few low-work times are just normal work flow. That's why IMO the BEST MT job is an in-house job with hourly pay. IMO, the second best is an hourly job working at home, but those are really rare.
So services are who is going to employ the most people, and the most important thing is that they are honest. IMO, time has shown that you can trust TT and Keystrokes, and there are many, many that you cannot.
This is pretty common. From what I have seen, a lot of recruiters work from home not from the offic
The company that I work for has just pulled recruiting in to the office. Our recruiter was wonderful, and we had many compliments about her. The problem is that the office is where everything is in terms of paperwork, schedules, etc. The need for additional transcriptionists on an account often goes through the office first, the need to replace someone due to termination or resignation goes through the office first, etc. Our recruiter did great with what she was given (and was very, very organized) but we made the decision to pull it in house for control over paperwork, schedules, etc.
We have had a few complaints that she conveyed information to them that was not correct or a little too rigid, but that was because she was 1500 miles away and if something happened in the office to affect that, the information was not always conveyed real time. With everyone in one place, it is easier to hold discussions, compare resumes and have everyone on the same page.
Our recruiter was salary, not paid commission on hires. That might make the difference. Either way, I doubt that a recruiter would purposely mislead someone as that would cause rapid MT turnover which would then send up red flags.
Believe it or not, companies want to KEEP their transcriptionists, not have revolving door!
I bet Keystrokes is sooo glad they posted their benefits! LOL
Sheesh! Talk about attack mode!
What people are saying about Keystrokes is not hype like another company posted, this is really how
You cannot go wrong. They are as honest as the day is long.
I agree. What's wrong with asking KEYSTROKES for
?
Was my Keystrokes question removed? Was something wrong? NM
/
Question. You posted complaints about Keystrokes and Spheris, but that wasn't bashing. So why
nm
Wrong. The person who was fired this week was from Keystrokes. I just got an email
from someone asking if was me posting here tonight, so I came to look. I agree with a lot that the poster has to say but I post my name when I post. Anyone who knows me or of me knows this. I do not have to post behind anonymous names nor do I.
I do disagree with some of what this poster says though and will take a moment to tell her/him something: You chose to run a service and knew or should have known what you were getting into. If you are doing all that, you should either hire more people or hire different people. The best move I ever made as a service owner was learning to delegate and hiring the right people including Human Resources, Accounting, Operations, QA, Recruiting and IS. (The second best move I ever made was to stop letting the posts on the MTStars and others affect me). Best advice I could give a service owner is to cough up the money for a good staff; it is worth it in the long wrong although hard in the short term.
While not everyone agrees with me or likes me or wants to work with Keystrokes, I do not feel a need to hide behind the anonymous nature of these boards and would rather have people know where I stand than wonder.
You would also know that I value our transcriptionists and know that as a company, Keystrokes constantly tries to improve. If you know me at all or anything about Keystrokes, you would also know that our rates are going up not down and we do not undercut prices to beat our competitors.
If anyone has anything to say to me directly, please use my email. I do not visit here often anymore and do not plan on starting again as it gets a bit addicting :)
Yes they do send work overseas and do not hide this fact. There is plenty of work and they do pay
well. Overall, I like having work as I have been at places where you had to fight to keep busy so this works for me.
There is NO work at Transtech. Maybe they just choose special people to send work to

I work there, but cannot send an email.

All I know is that they send work overseas. nm

Does OSI send work offshore?
If so I won't bother. TIA
Who is LK -- know TT did send some work to another service, but
but please let me know what you are saying because we TT'ers are very interested in what you are saying to us all -- I just know there is something very wrong with my line count. I have been doing this too long to not know how many lines I can get. I cannot put my finger on the problem -- I just know it does fall in my lap.
This is really disturbing to me.
They do not send work to Focus...sm
or get work from Focus. Please get your facts straight before making up stuff on these boards. If you think you can prove otherwise send me your information.
She's right TT does NOT send work offshore.
Never have and never will. The day they do is the day I quit because I never have worked for a company that offshored and I never will.
OSI does send offshore work

MDI does NOT send work overseas.

Do they send work offshore?
Just wondering.
even if they send work overseas...
Please help me find a company to work for that has WORK and pays on time. That is all I ask at this point.
You send the work in using their program, yes. I never ran out of work sm
but I was just working part-time, and this was about a year ago, so things could have changed. Isabelle and everyone seem so caring, it is hard to believe that they would consistently have MTs without work, but that seems to be a curse of the industry lately.
Good luck to you!
I wonder why they don't send a lot or all of their work to India? That's where a lot of work&
nm
Ditto! Also add that they ignore e-mails you send and send endless IMs!
nm
Yes that is the company MQ uses to send work to India.

Batch receive/send work?
Is there any company out there where you can download work in batches and send back transcribed reports in batches? I can only get dialup and it is too slow to do 1-3 jobs at a time. 30+ years experience, big 4 and Radiology, Medical and Radiation Oncology. I am currently employed in hospital radiology department but want to go back home. Hate this winter driving!!!
Which nationals do not send work out of the country?
