I have been trying to be patient but have been working on my secondary account so much lately, I am

starting to think it's my primary. Been in the business a long time and understand slow times, but this has been a chronic problem for many months, so I understand poster's point of view. Stick it out if you can, if not, there are lots of other companies out there, but remember, the grass is always greener on the other side and you may be sorry you jumped ship. Hopefully you can find somewhere that will make you happy and feel appreciated.

Secondary account
When I first started, I was put on a GREAT ER account that I love, but since it is only ER reports, they wanted to give me a secondary account in case the workload ever gets low on that account. I didn't even have to ask for a backup account. They gave it to me a day or two after I started because they didn't want me to ever run out of work. I got a HUGE hospital account as a backup and never run out of work. They are bot on the ExText platform and I love them both.
You must ask for the new account as a secondary
You won't run out of work anytime soon. Ask Debbie about it. They are begging for people to work on it. How did you miss that email?
My secondary account has been slow for weeks
but they gave me another account, so I'm good. My primary account has also been pretty busy these past few weeks. I guess this is just a slow time of year.
I've asked repeatedly for a secondary account. nm
what account were you working on? sm
What account were you working on? They let all of the QAs and a few MTs go on this particular account. I believe they lost this account.
Account I was working on
What amazes me is that they never got back to me. I e-mailed them and they told me work was very slow this week and they hope things start picking back up. Yes, I think the account I was working on went away, but why did they not tell me. I can still log on to the system.
Yep!!! We're working on the same account.
I'll email you..
I think we are working for the same company on the same account.
I have a pillow-talking female dictator on my secondary account as well. Little to no work on my primary. It took 40 minutes to transcribe 36 lines with 16 blanks. E-mail me if you want.
question for those working on the old QT account
Are you still able to make the lines you did when you worked at QT at the Web. Friend of mine is having a hard time and she was a top producer.
I am working now. We don't lose the account
for another month. I also have back up accounts, so I am hoping that I can work on some of those until I get a new primary, but I know they won't provide me the 40 hours of work I need to get by. I figured I would wait until that time to start bugging my supervisor for another account. I would rather not be too pushy. Afraid that will make things worse instead of better.
Anyone working on the new cardiology account for Archivus out of NC?
Looking for info on platform used, percentage of ESLs, number of docs, if there are templates/headers/footers?
Spheris has Indian MTs working on every account. This should

working that account and it is great! So far I have no complaints. nm

No, if the account you are working wants it to stay stateside,
it will stay stateside. Period. I got this straight from a Transcend regional manager a couple of weeks ago. It is up to the CLIENT whether to allow the work to go offshore or not. It is NOT up to Transcend.
Anyone working on cardiology account for Superior Global out of TX?

Has any worked for QT Medical for radiology? They got an account that I was working sm
on for another company and I want to apply, but cannot find anything about them. I am currently with Peachtree and am tired of being an IC and I need steady work. Can you give me any good, bad or other information? TIA
The account I am working has a normal amount of ESLs but nothing awful.
I think anywhere you work these days you're going to get some but I have just had the usual amount here.
Wait to talk to the recruiter. If the account you are working on requires a C-phone, sm
they will loan you one if they have one available. No sense in spending extra money if you do not have to do so. :-)
Good luck ! I love it at Keystrokes. I have only been there about 4-5 months, but my experience has been a good one. I think you will like it.
OSi because they ignore me about a secondary
.
If it is your secondary that has OT offered how do you do it? nm
.
I do not work my secondary if it is also low (sm)
which it has been. I know we're told to work secondary if primary is low, but I don't think it's right for me to take away from somebody else's primary account if it's scraping the bottom of the barrel too. I guess that's why I'm spending 12 hours at my computer a day to get my line count.
A few years ago my secondary went to another company and (sm)
evidently some of the office people as well, they in turn gave the new company the names and phone numbers of us who had worked the account and the new company actually called many of us to solicit us as employees. I felt it would have been okay for me to switch, since I had had no control over the account coming or going, but I didn't feel it was right for some of the higher ups to be involved in soliciting us for the new company. If anyone was in the wrong, they were. They shouldn't have shared records and personnel information like that from one company to the other IMO.
No secondary/OT posted too long..
I have also repeatedly asked for a secondary account. I am told each time, we will get you trained on one of these new accounts when they come aboard. Well, the new account comes on board, my account gets some work and I never get trained! Also, my supe loves to posts OT for my primary all the time, and seems soo shocked when the end of the week comes and our account is totally out of work!! DUH!! Do not post OT soo soon or for so long! I have given this company a try for now 9 months. I'm getting sick of this crap!
I don't have work on primary OR secondary. nm

Not a single job on primary or secondary. nm

Webmedx secondary accounts
If you take on a secondary account, do you bounce back and forth between your primary and secondary based on turn-around times, or do you get work from your secondary only if there's no work on your primary? I'm pretty sure it's the former, but just want to be sure. TIA.
One of my secondary accts has very little work , but they..sm
stat every blessed report they do, so I always get those immediately. It is TAT, but your STM can explain it in more detail.
You weren't offered secondary accounts?
That's unusual.
TT gives you primary and secondary, how do they do work pools? sm
Do you get primary one work type (BORING) or do you get a fairly good mix or how do they set it up? TIA
Webmedx ? secondary, tertiary accounts. sm
Have a main and secondary and almost always have work, but.. sometimes after OT has been offered (like this morning) I have nada. Think I need to be assigned a third account or be put on as a helper somewhere. I suppose I ask my team manager, are we allowed to request an account that looks busy, must it be an account in her Book of Business like with MQ. Any info before I make the call would be appreciated.
webmedx tertiary secondary accounts
I have 5 accounts with Webmedx. I am always running out of work on the weekends because like you said they call for OT and then there is nothing left for us who do work the weekends to type while everyone else is getting more money for OT. Not very fair. Like the other MT said beware of what you wish for. different accounts with different account specifics is sometimes more trouble than it is worth. Haven't had a full paycheck for quite awhile.
Holy Cow -- all 3 of my accounts have work. One even OT. The secondary (sm)
one had been particularly low for weeks now and today there is a massive quantity. I wonder if maybe that hospital was trying out another service and just sending us a small amount. Whatever the reason, the work, at least for now has picked up greatly.
We are having KFC for supper so I can get in there and get a few of those OT lines while they last.
Hope everyone else is having good luck with their accounts also.
surely they knew your secondary was that low - why did they crosstrain for it? NM

I was out a couple of minutes, mostly getting secondary and tertiary accounts. (sm)
I know when I hired on I was excited I could get days so easily, maybe we are just too many on one shift.
I agree, we need our own board where we can chat without being chastised for monopolizing the board.
I think the next time I run out I am switching to my part time job and trying to get back in here this evening.
Be patient...they always get
Well, this too has happened at my place of employment. This one girl would run her mouth about how great she was and how she was the best and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah!!!!! Well, she was fired yesterday! She was doing things worse than cherry picking...gossiping. She lived off of it. One by one, all the women in the office realized how she was and one by one she has been left out in the cold by us all. She started missing work...having every excuse in the book from her poor old sick grandmother to her poor sick daughter to her poor sick self....which of course she has ulcers (so she says) probably from all the lies and deceipt. She thought her job was SO secure but even the "best" finally get found out. Now this place of employment will hopefully turn into a nice environment to work as she kept it upset all the time. So, my message is to be patient and eventually they all figure it out. Just do the best job you can do with what you got! Happy typing!
I think you just need to be patient,
I talked to her yesterday after waiting over a week and she is just overwhelmed trying to get back to people, she was very nice.
I'd be a bit more patient.
I had about a 24 hour lag between emailing and my offer. I think that most companies get swamped with resumes every time they post here and it just takes time to get through it all.
Be patient
Don't worry. You will hear back from them within 5 days. That's about how long it took for me to hear back from them. From what I've heard from others it's been about the same for them. Good luck.
Please be patient. SM
When mergers and other events occur in this industry and between companies, it is natural for those who are impacted to want to discuss.
If you have something you want to ask about or discuss, just post about it. You need to also keep in mind that everyone is not sitting here 24/7 waiting to respond to posts. Give it a little time.
It is NOT too difficult to read down through the page and read the different posts that are about MDI/Transcend versus other topics.
Thanks.
I don't understand it. We've been consistently running out of work primary and secondary the
I quit.
Usuall plenty of work - demand a secondary or tertiary acct. nm
nm
I would also ask about looking patient's names up and such.

I don't mind..I'm patient (nm)

Be Patient...They are swamped...
It was almost 2 weeks before I heard from them. You might drop them a quick phone call just to let them know you are interested. E-mail me if you want more.
She said no patient files were sent IM
xx
MDI is definitely worth a try. However you must be patient
and understand right away you are restricted to 5 reports a day or 20 minutes of spoken word. This goes on for 2 weeks or so, until you are ready to be let go onto full contract typing. That is the test. If you make it and you want to stay it is worth it. However, you must want to be a contractor and willing to go with the flow of workload and as the work comes and goes. Personally, I think it is fine for a back-up or part time job. Have never not had my part-time lines. Pay is always on time. So if you want to be patient, and understand the process of hiring you will be okay for part-time for sure. Good luck!
Not giving a patient's name
is a HIPAA violation. Report her to your supervisor.
Ummm...she said that the patient himself...
asked her to go over the records. I do believe that fact that the patient himself makes the request would be the required consent.
...better yet - direct to the patient.
x
now, isn't that swell? For the patient, I mean..nm
nm
I just have to fill in patient's name and everything else is automated and
even filling in the patient's name is made easy, I just type it and enter and it goes where it needs to do and then I type. The work is batched so I just keep typing until I have 10 -12 pages and then send, again all automated and then start another batch.
I worked for YOG for a short time years ago and they had so many demographics it took at least 5 minutes to fill them in, had to constantly look up stuff on the lists to find correct info and never got the same doctors twice to be able to learn doctor's information so you didn't have to keep looking it up.
My server has never been down, except during hurricanes last year, so no down time. A couple of times the hospital's server has been down and I've been able to get my lines, though had to take a break during my regular shift and work a little longer in the evening. Never went a day with NO work. System never locks up.
