When I did transcription for a large hospital chain I did 2000+ lines per 8-hour shift. They needed more, so I did overtime. I started having trouble with my wrists. I told my supervisor and asked if I could transcribe part time and train part time (they had new people dropping like flies because the training sucked). I was told that I could not do this because they needed me to keep doing the lines I was doing. Well, I ended up out on Workers' Comp and ultimately ended up being paid a settlement. I'm just now getting back into MT and I am pacing myself. It's not worth it to kill yourself for some company who doesn't give a rat's patootie about!!
