I have been amazed and pleasantly surprised at the CIVILITY and support that has been given on this board yesterday and today to MDI MTs, of which I am one. I have had several great interactions with posters offline, some of who work for MDI, some who do not. I mentioned that I had stopped coming to MTStars with any regularity, because there are so many nasty negative attacks made on MTs, totally unwarranted. This is the experience of many of us. It hasn't been worth it to wade through the crapola and mean-spiritedness on this board to glean info. But, once I saw CB had posted here and this was The Forum for MDI right now, I cringed... then happily realized I was wrong (was this a new board, or what) and felt so supported by the posts from MDIers and non-MDIers. Until now. Anyway, figure it had to happen, that the nasty people out there just couldn't stand seeing how well MDI MTs treated each other and how that evoked in kind responses from other - and had to fire some nonsense nastiness out there. So, MDI-MD MTs, it just goes to show and is all the more obvious what a good team we were and what good stuff D had. HAD. Bridge Documents
I worked for them off and on for the last 3 years. They are a very good company to work for. You commit to how many lines you are going to type each day and what time of day you plan to type them. In turn, they ask that you do only the lines you have committed to, work during the time that you say you are going to work, and you usually can count on having the work there each day to make your line commitment. By the same token, they require that you type the lines that you have committed to, log in during the time of day you have committed to, which I think is not unreasonable by any means as they do not overstaff which allows you to have the work you need.
All in all, they do not overstaff, you can count on stable work, they are always available to help you, pay is on time (direct deposit every 2 weeks) - never had a late paycheck, and they treat you like family. In this industry, that is hard to find.

VR produces a big mess & it takes a lot of time to correct it all. I'd hate to see an audit on those flying through it at full speed, and I'd hate to be the patient depending on a quality report.

would you jump right behind him? The bottom line is that the only person you can control is yourself. If a physician is not performing his job correctly, guess what? He will eventually lose his license. Why do you continue to try and justify punishing patients simply because people do not want to do their jobs correctly? However you spin it, it's still wrong.

necessarily be a negative thing for the MQ employees regardless of who a new owner might be (same goes true for any company being sold regardless of the industry).

I was just heard from my boss that Keystrokes is for sale for $30 million. He was looking at them but thinks that Spheris will be the ones who will actually buy them.
I know that they are in the U.S.A. only. What will happen once Spheris buys them? Why Spheris and not MQ?

Heartland - Status of Sale
Heartland is such a horrible company, it has been announced that SPI has backed out of purchasing them for good!
Almost all in-house employees are gone, majority of my MT friends left! I don't think they will survive with all these employees gone.
I'll be sure to pass that along to the sale guy.

I received an email from someone about Keystrokes being for sale - it is lie. sm
Yes, the owners met with the CEO of Transcend and went to dinner but it was 2 years and it was NETWORKING. They had no intentions of selling to them and when they informed them of that, Transcend stopped coming around. I work in the office. Get your facts straight.
Watch out, this company is probably up for sale to Transcend.
Usual warning signs - lots of mls, low work.

This is a rumor started by someone for absolutely no reason. There are a few companies out there who have approached Keystrokes about selling and have been turned down. A few have been very agressive and do not like to hear the word no.
The company has been growing steadily for the past 10 years and has agressive growth plans in place for the next 5 years.
If you have any questions, contact one of the owners or member of the management team directly. They will answer your questions.
This is just another example of someone trying to stir the pot.
Not every company is for sale, at any price. Although that may change in the future for the owners of Keystrokes, right now they enjoy growing the company and improving on what they have built. It will be several years before the idea of selling would be entertained.

I may be wrong but my guess is that this is CorT. I have been with them only 4 months but I have many MT sisters who have been with them longer and love it.

Since no responses, I guess I am the only MT who works for a national that charges for templates but doesn't tell you upfront or put it in a contract....oh well....time for another company!!!

I am not management and they are a wonderful company. I have heard and read bad things yet I have worked there for quite some time and I have never seen any of what you say. They are nice people and they would not fire someone for being sick or family emergency. There has to be more to that story. TH rocks!
