Go to the bottom of the page and click on a page
number to get the most recent archives and then can do Ctrl F and do a search for WebMedX.   I wouldn't call them a small national.

At the top of the company board page, do a google search for MTStars.
Start reading. This is an Indian based company. There were recent posts over the past few days about this company.
If you go to the bottom of any page
there will be page # at the bottom.  If on page 1 click on page 2 to see the newest of the posts that have scrolled off.  You can then do a Ctl F to do a search.  I don't know how sensitive the search is, by I've seen it Cymed and CyMed.

there a few comments.  Also try a search using MDI-MD, might turn up more comments that way. I've been interested in them, too, but last time I applied, they were only hiring for C-phone account and needed unlimited long distance.  I wonder if they will be going to internet only in the future, as I think they have some accounts that are internet.  Anyone know?

I found out by asking on this board
I had worked for a particular hospital for ages, 1 company lost and I was just sick, bottom line asked on here if anyone knew who had the account and guess what, that is where I am now pleased as punch. Ask. The answer is always no until you ask.

Mary/writer has written a post to the company board stating that she had filled the position. She thanked people for their posts. I think she was taken aback by one very mean email she received. I am surprised she didn't get far more. Of course $25 for three hours of work is ridiculously low, but I bet she could have been treated much more nicely. Some of the people who post on here are so unkind. I don't think they would be happy anywhere with any amount of money. How disheartening.

Best company I have found, BUT
I hate the ignoring of emails that goes on when they dont want to answer your question or address your concern.  Have sent a few nice words to one of the owners, a thank you, a gesture, a comment....no reply ever. Must not speak to the little people.  Same with DH.  Nice, caring folks usually, then the many unanswered inquiries are troubling.  At some point you just drop the issue because it's obvious you're being ignored and they don't want to deal with whatever.... so to pursue it puts one in an awkward position.  In the grand scheme of transcription, this is heaven, but what's up with the stonewalling?

It is from a pool of work, but I do not HAVE to take it, and I do not HAVE to meet a quota.  What a wonderful life!  And, no they're not hiring...  heehee 
I have found that company....

after working many years as an IC, I felt I needed more security, such as paid time off, retirement savings, completely affordable health care.  It is pretty close to the perfect company for me.  I keep to my schedule, I do my work, they leave me alone.  What more could I ask for?  BTW, it is Axolotl Corp.

doesnt require weekends. If that is what you want, that is great. I also don't work weekends after 32 years of this. My point is the OP has an attitude that NO MT should have to work weekends when the MTSO obviously requires it. Just because she/or yourself for that matter, doesn't think an MTSO needs/requires weekend workers, doesn't mean that some MTSO contracts dont' require it.

I get so tired of hearing about MTs who demand certain hours, certain days, gotta have their pick of the work, line quota, etc but never want to bend at all. The job is not about the MT but about the patients. Seems to me lots of MTs have forgotten that behind all of this are patients.

If an MTSO requires weekend work and one MT doesn't want to work weekends, there are 10 that will take the place of the one. I just hate hearing the whining by the MTs who won't bend at all when the work is low and they need the money. Its obvious to me that the OP has never had to support a family totally on an MT salary. It can be done but not by a whiny MT who wants their cake and eat it too! After 35 years, you should know that.

I used Apex with another company and it was awful. I'd do a full page of transcription and it'
out to be like 30 lines. There is no way. I quit after 2 days. I felt like the reports were easy but I was not working all day for $6 an hour.

Company found way to handle TAT. SM

After 5 pm, they are dumping out whatever reports are in editors ques and sending them out to MTs, but just certain MTs who have high ratings and are not allowed to leave any blanks.  Sounds like a great idea, except if one is the MT who gets stuck with all the junk, one right after the other.


This isn't VR either.


Heads up, I just found out this is a BC, Canada company!!

Can you share what small company you found (sm)
that offers benefits (even if it is more costly).  It seems that all I have talked to don't offer any and I can't afford to go without health insurance.  Thank you so much in advance.
I agree...I found this company to be very back and forth...
when there is work, everything is great...but when there is no work and you want more, somehow they can't come up with any and make excuses as to the lack of work, et cetera...I moved on and am happy I did... I know people who are happy there so to each their own, this is just my own experience...good luck!!!

JLG in the search box, make sure the MTStars circle is checked and click on search you'll find lots of current information.  This is considered archived information but there are posts are recently as last week there.

Former DRC/Acusis MTs - Have you found a company as nice to work for (sm)
as DRC with good software, pay, benefits, etc?   Looks like REALLY good MTSO are few and far between.
Haven't found a great place yet . . ., was with last company three years.

The company board allows you to ask questions.  I just can't see recruiters having the time to frequent this board and answer questions.  Why not just contact the recruiter with questions.  You'll get a right from the horse's mouth answer as opposed to people scorn.  Everyone is different in their opinion.  I've seen people that love Meditech or hate it.  I've seen people that love Emdat and others that think it steals lines.  So, I'm not so sure an additional board with the expectation that job recruiters will frequent this site all day and night and provide answers (also not knowing if it really is a recruiter) will enhance this site.  It is what it is.  If you want to ask about a company, the ask away on the company board, that's what it's for.  Of course, this is all JMHO. 
BTW: This is on company board because at first
I was going to name the companies, but then decided not to for fear of losing jobs altogether. You know, word gets around, and this MT needs as many jobs as possible right now. So thanks for understanding about not putting on main board, this was meant to be put on company board. Tx
