I, for one, hope they leave all KS messages (sm)

They show a total lack of restraint. Every reply speaks volumes about the company.
No policies regarding posting in public forums?
No policies regarding dealing with the public?
No emotional control? (that I'm sorry I said anything tone.)
MTs, where there is no discipline displayed in public, there will certainly not be any in private after you're with the company. This should be extremely educational. Why anybody but the absolute newbies would go with this company after these recent posts is beyond me.

I have been at MDI for over 3 years now and hope never to have to leave...sm
Great staff, good accounts, easy platform. Pay has always been on time, direct deposit. Production requirements are easy to meet though work has been a little slow lately, hopefully just a summer thing. I don't remember much about the training process but it was not difficult. Guidelines are clear and simple to follow. Really a great company in my opinion. Welcome aboard!
hope you don't leave the board sm
I enjoy your post--don't necessarily agree with all of them, but I think your post is very clear what happened. Everybody on this board needs to realize that most all the MTSOs (big and small) check these boards, and anytime you post information about something that happened to you at a particular place they can probably identify you because they know the situation(they should they were part of it). People should also realize to be careful when replying to emails, because it could identify you to potential and past employers. I think most people could probably figure it out on their own, but there are a few that a kinda thick headed.
I tested for a company and posted on here, asking how long it took to get results back, and I had 2 emails asking me questions for help on the test---actually wanting to cheat, I was too afraid it might be the company trying to judge my character, so I didn't reply. Now I don't think it was a recruiter or an MTSO, but you never know, and I wasn't going to chance it.
I think this thing might be kinda sensitive for the Moderators, because it sounds like the PREVIOUS owner of the board did sell out a few people (only based on other comments-I wasn't around then, so i don't know).

Someone just asked about Task. There are a few replies below. I was one of them who got interviewed, but as soon as she got on the phone with me she wanted more of a time committment. I can tell you they're lookin for someone to give at least 20-40 hours per week. Good luck.
You can tell these messages
are from the same person, and obviously not a recruiter. Just someone looking for something to do. A recruiter is way too busy to monitor this board and make these replies. Just my $.02.
Reporting messages. (SM)
Please do not report messages to be removed simply because you disagree with them. This is a public forum. Anyone can post here. If you disagree with a post, simply look past it. When you post here, everyone is entitled to reply to your entry.
Now, if a post violates posting policy, that is completely different and we want to edit or delete those.
However, you should focus on obtaining the information/discussions you want from the forum and ignore those who disagree with you.
If you want or need to discuss a situation you are encountering, please e-mail me and we will see what we can do to resolve the situation.
IMPORTANT: If you make a post and want to retract it, please do not use the moderating form to report the message -- instead, e-mail me. I must be able to verify that you posted the original message before removing it if it is not violating posting guidelines.
If anyone has any questions, I will be happy to answer them.
Thank you,
Goldbird
Don't like this. There are a lot of UNRELATED messages how does this help?
Is it ok to post fun messages?
I have a fun question ask everyone: what (and yes I am saying what not who we don't want names) What was the worst doctor you had to type for? I have typed for doctors from Bolivia, Portugal, and Czech all with English as their second language.. I could do them just fine after I figured out the basics. The worst doctor I ever typed for was from Texas. WOW could that man garble a sentence and fast - oh my gosh he talked fast. English was his first and only language.
Why did you say that? Now there will be 60 messages stating
xx
sorry, but what I see is *latest messages* ,,,sm
not *related messages*, unless yours is showing something different than mine.
Sad but true, but at least no more NJA messages.
I suppose all the Indians will be cussing us out as the work gets offshored back to the shores.
Although, and even though we joke, to a degree that has happened in some industries already. While they still maintain the largest portion of things like the tech industry, a noticeable portion has started to be offshored to places like the Ukraine and parts of Africa as the Indian wages have risen to fill the demand for employees.
You kinow, I get mixed messages with that.
There have been job applications that want to know every single thing, even what were you doing when you were unemployed, and they want the dates for that. I have had people complain when I didn't. However, I would rather put job experience pertaining to the position I am trying to get.
can be a bit confusing
Please see my post "Reporting Messages" above. (NM)

I know with Yahoo you can save messages
to your computer. You would have to play around to find it, but I know it's there because I can see all of my past msgs and they are time/date stamped.
I click on the related messages and there
are about a dozen. If you will click on one of those links there are usually several other posts where others have responded to the same questions you are asking. Someone has started a private Transtech board within the last few weeks, but there is tons of stuff about Transtech on MTStars.
There are messages from Nov in related posts SM
if what you mean by looking for more is you want someone to tell you it's great, then here - IT'S SO GREAT, I MAKE MAD MONEY THERE, they let me work whenever I want and there is always tons of work and OT offered on all these easy accounts with normals. I think I'll retire with this company.
Does that work for you?

major mixed messages!
I think Larry must have left that one out in the conference I was in yesterday. It is hard to know if issues are purposefully being clouded (so we don't leave right away) or if like you say, they just really don't know. I would like know to the truth about whether CB, DJ, etc did only find out a few days ago. I guess ultimately it really doesn't matter does it.
Yes, and even if they are saying IC and SE are available, you are right, everything is followed with the foreseeable future disclaimer, or I think or I believe. I know with MQ, eventually SE gave way to IC which gave way to total employee no choice, stay or go. .... ....

Heed the messages in the older posts, not the ones planted by
management in the post below. That is all fairy tales about everything being so wonderful. It gets worse by the day at Transcend/MDI-FL.
Click on your message and then look for "see related messages." nm
quotation marks don't work inside messages here
But you can fudge that by using apostrophes instead, 4 total, 2 in front of word and 2 behind the word. Like this: ''apostrophes''
Spheris employees are instructed to not post messages on sites like this.

This seems to be pro-offshore board. Messages against offshore often just disappear.

So LEAVE ALREADY. nm
I will leave it, thank you very much
through these 2 rotten companies, I finally have found a good company, one that appreciates my work (which is very good) and one that does not lie to me or steal lines!!! So take that!!
Why did you leave?
Or do you still work for them? I had the same experience - just sent my paperwork back, but haven't heard anything, including training date, etc.
Leave it alone. I(SM)
If you don't like what they posted, that's fine. You have no right whatsoever to harass them for it and yes, that is exactly what you were doing.

leave your job
Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, don't do it!:)
why did you leave
Transtech?
see below, and please leave me alone, if you have nothing
meaningful or thoughtful to post.
Thank you.
Why did I leave? SM
1. Lack of tech support. Computer once was down for 3 days before tech support finally got in touch with me -- despite my leaving 2 messages.
2. Cut in pay for ASR work. Line rates for ASR work were reduced by approximately 50% compared to straight transcription line rate. PTO accrual rate also almost cut by 50%.
3. Lack of communication. E-mails, not always but occasionally, will never be answered. I figured out this usually happens when they don't know the answer and don't want to admit they don't.
4. Nasty people at the Help Desk. You are required to have your IM turned on while working. If Help Desk needs a stat done, they can get very nasty with you if you don't get it done in what they feel is a timely fashion, its the end of your shift, or for some reason it doesn't fall into your cue.
why did you leave?

Please don't leave
We are not all malcontents. I, too, have worked for different hospitals and understand your reasoning. Hang in there - some of us don't blast (at least not very often).
leave
By staying there you are giving them life. Quit now. Anyone who works under those conditions can only blame themselves. Companies can't **** employees like garbage if there are no employees.
let's all leave
Okay all you TTers, let's leave this board for good. We know we have a good thing at TT.
Why did you leave? nm

Why did you leave?
Just wondering if you don't mind...
You can always leave
Some of us like our jobs. And I'm not the only rah-rah.
And for your information I don't get paid anything extra. I'm just not as jaded. Sorry 'bout your luck.
BTW...
It's funny how much you'll talk about the company and the director without putting your name. Bet you wouldn't say the same thing if we we're in an office where there was a face with those comments!
I would not leave
I work for a small company as an IC. The company knows IC means I work when I can or want to. I have no set schedule. That is #1 importance to me. But aside from that, the account I work on is really nice. I have run out of work on occasion, but it is not a regular thing and seems to happen mostly when someone new is hired. The new people seem to go in and work around the clock, taking work from those of us who have been there longer and tending to be the cherry pickers, which annoys me somewhat, but that usually dies down within a couple of weeks and then things get back to normal, with enough work for everyone. There are some ESL dictators but not a ton, and many of those are easily understood. The owners of the company are really easy people to work with, very understanding, etc. The pay is always on time, and I feel I earn decent pay for what I do and I feel like I am valued there. I would not leave them now or otherwise.
Now my second job is a whole different story. I work as a coder for a large hospital, and i would leave in a heartbeat if I could. I work from home and again have no set schedule but do have to work xx number of hours each week; I just pick the times to work. That is it's only advantage. The work is demanding and difficult. We get no respect for it at all. The stress is incredible as we work on a production standard that is virtually impossible to meet. We have 0, that's right 0, people in our group who meet the standard, and we have 27 coders. The expectations are unachievable, and we are constantly pressured to do more and more and more but we get less and less and less in return. Sounds familiar? However, this is the job that provides benefits for myself and my hubby, so I am stuck there for time eternal (or until Medicare kicks in for us). In my lifetime, I have always enjoyed working, but this is truly the first time I could say I hate my job and mean it wholeheartedly. That is why I feel for so many of the MTs out there who are stuck in situations that are making them miserable. Considering the amount of time an individual spends working, shouldn't we be able to feel good about what we do?
Why would you leave?
Why would you leave a perfectly good job that you like because two companied merged? Why not wait to see how it works out? I've worked for Transcend for five years and for the most part they are a good company...it would work AGAINST them to take you off your regular accts and put you on unknown accts then train people to work your accts. Their goal is to get the lines done and done well. Pay is above most companies and you do get paid for major holidays. There is PTO, benefits and 401K. Please don't do something foolish, especially in this economy.
why don't they just leave us alone to do
our job and put this wasted research money into something worthwhile?? Why don't they put it into finding a cure for cancer or something?
If YOU think you are a G.P. then YOU can leave.
matters what the person who percieves herself as a G.P. thinks, and if she WANTS to stay or go.
Please go find your new job and leave it be
I figured there would be a post on here after the forum. But let's not make it out to be more than it was. There was 1 post. That is because people's names are shown on the company forum. And on MT Stars, who knows how many posts are from the same few people. If Transcend was so bad, you would think that it would not be prospering as it is. I work there, I love it. I have had NO problems, NADA. I am not the only one either. I am sick of hearing the bashing. I am sure that there are problems there, as anywhere, but they are a good place to work and compared to some companies, a great place to work. If you want the "perfect" job, I guess you will never be happy. Sometimes you just need to be realistic and a little less spoiled.
