I don't work there but info that I have received includes ... SM

I don't know if they have clinic work. However, if you are an experienced MT, I would think that they would hire you even if you don't do ops. They use Doc-Q-Scribe (sp?) for at least one of their big hospital accounts out of Atlanta. They offer benefits, but I have heard that the health insurance is very expensive. I would imagine that they are hiring.
I used to work for the owner years ago when she had another service, and she had the same right-hand man (er, lady LOL) as she does now. They were always very good to me, and I really wish I still worked for her though I have a good job now somewhere else.
Good luck, and I hope this helps somewhat. Post back and let us know how it goes.

I received their info
I simply couldn't believe they start at 6 cpl. Why on earth would anyone even consider it? If they can pay on a tier system, they are making a big profit at 6 cpl. Their system equals nothing more than slave labor.
I didn't bother when I received their info (sm)
and saw it took more than a month to issue the first check. A company that doesn't have enough capital to pay its subcontractors promptly isn't one I care to work for.
I have no idea, received preliminary info

You got your W2 already? I work there but haven't received (sm)
mine yet. I was hoping to get it as an attachment to print out also and not have to wait for it to come in the mail.
Has anyone received their W2 from DeVenture? No longer work there and don't want to call them..nm

Includes
This includes anyone in a desperate, disabling situation, such as a widow returning to the job market, living in a rural area where there is great DSL service, but not too many local jobs around.. So DISABILITY is probably the key word here. Also, while there may be PARTS of the job that are exploitative, not all parts ARE, and no one has been forced to accept any home MT position. It is all choice. We may choose to allow others to treat us badly because there are some positive aspects to the job. To some degree, every time you work for someone else, you are being exploited.
I got an automated email shortly after and received info from Debra shortly after that. NM

I'm not sure if their insurance includes
preexisting or not but it is United Healthcare if that helps at all. Work load was slow over the holidays but right now work it is out of control. We've been on OT since last week due to every account just exploding with work. This work is on the Merit accounts, not sure of EXtext. PTO is pretty good. All the major holidays, plus a floating holiday which you can use for your birthday, and sick days accumulate with hours worked. Been a while since I asked how they figured sick day hours but for every so many hours worked, you get 1 hour of sick day. Hope this helps.
Webmedx is abt the same - PTO includes sm
sick days or vacation time; holidays are separate.
Pay is based on 65 characters and includes
spaces. Line rate is based on experience, if you have CMT, and shift. There may be some other things too. I don't know 100%, but I'm pretty sure they offshore. Get conflicting stories about accounts depending on who you talk to. I think pay is average, PTO is accrued based on lines and is available immediately. You can take in $$ or time off I believe. Not sure of other benefits because I had already decided after talking to them that I wasn't going to take a position with them, so didn't pay attention to benefits.
The very short list I have so far includes...sm...
Lee Perfect - but you need to know Emdat software. Lextel - in California. They were paying 7.5 for MT and 4.5 for QA positions. Mediscript Transcription - need your own LD and C-phone. QT - don't think they're hiring, though. Last ad was from 2005. Old posts say trouble making lines there. West Tran Group - you need Word 2003 and they use IntraScript software. ....This is all the info I have. I have no contact info and no emails or website info. This is just a list I've compiled as I've come across them on a search. NM
I did 42 last year but that includes incentive pay.
Acute care includes OPs.

My schedule includes a weekend day by choice. I'm
not 100% sure, but I think you had a choice of Sun-Th or Tu-Sat schedule. We haven't run out of work, but things are staying very caught up, so I would say they aren't hiring. I do know a new account is coming, but don't know time frame for that. You can apply through their website and you should get a response within a couple of days at most if they are hiring.
She includes ER in acute care, so I guess that would make it Basic Five :) nm

monitor, please see this message that includes a personal email addy.

Are you required to work major holdays at KS. I know nature of biz to work them. Thanks for info. nm
nm
That is what I just said. !0 days PTO, period. That includes vacation, sick days and personal days
They should have paid holidays so that you are paid if you take off. Also should inculde extra hours for sick days and personal days.
That annual raise of .002 is kind of a joke especially when at the same time they upped the minimum line requirement from 10,000 lines to 12,000 lines.
OSi just does not have the qualified people in management positions that I wish to work for.
I am glad that you are happy at OSi and all is working out for you. Their dishonesty and the way they treat people just does not work for me.
Of course they can get by cheaply by hiring unqualified people so that is very good for the owners.
Thanks for the info. P.S. - How's work? Do you
Anyone here work for TRX? Would appreciate any info! sm
I just finished a training session and have everything ready to begin transcribing. I have searched the archives and did find some posts last year regarding TRX not paying a few ICs.
Can anyone give me any info at all?? I would really appreciate it! TIA!
Anyone work for or have info on....

Does anyone currently work for JLG or have any info? sm
I was told they now have their own platform. Is it user friendly? Having just tried the Medrite platform and watched my line count plummet from 300 lph to 150 lph, I am naturally a bit leery about new platforms now. Is the pay on time? Any idea as to how much the cost of their insurance for a single plan? Any information would be appreciated.
Does anyone work for OSI? Would appreciate some info.
Are they a good company to work for? Do you get paid on time? Is there a shortage of work? Any information would be helpful. thank you.
I don't work for them, but can give some info
I interviewed with them several months ago. For level 3 acute care, I was offered 10 cpl for IC, 11 cpl over a certain number of lines per week. For IC, line requirement was 1000 lines per week and seemed that they would be very flexible. Use your own computer if IC.
I was also offered 8.5 cpl for employee status (with incentives depending on lines per hour worked). I think they required 20 hours per week and have to keep an average of at least 150 lines per hour (it sounded like they had a time clock system). They provide the computer if employee status.
Everyone I spoke to was very nice, especially the recruiter. I turned the offer down due to reasons not relating to the company in particular. They did tell me that they had a lot of ESL (the test consisted of all ESL), but I don't know if this would apply to ER. Hope this helps.
Anyone work for Spheris? Would appreciate any info

Sounds like a good deal, but you didn't mention for whom you work. Not sure if that was intentional or you just forgot (I spazz and forget stuff all the time so just double-checking, in case you intended to name them).

No. The only letter I have received is the
September 2nd letter announcing the upcoming Rewards Plan.
Yes, if ASR pay is being reduced that is a pay cut. It is A pay cut. The above post made implication that there was a pay cut across the board, "... the pay cut ...".
I just don't see a need to be careless with that kind of assumption.
I have received nothing about the ASR reduction. However, I do not do ASR and it may have only gone to those MTs.
At least you received a reply! SM
I tested almost two weeks ago and still no word. I find a lot of the companies just don't ever get in touch anymore. That's just rude!
You already received 3 answers below .. maybe that's all there is? nm

I received the e-cards as well - sm
I'll bet we have the same liason! I really like her and thought it was very thoughtful of her to take the time to do this.
I have never really received more money for it BUT if you want to do
it for yourself, do it! I have been able to get other jobs other than MT just by having it because whether or not it means anything to other MTs, it always looks good to have a professional credential after your name if you are in any kind of mentoring position, QA, or management. I wanted it because I wanted to expand what I did and even though it might not have been required, it looks credible. Nothing wrong with doing it for yourself for no reason at all. It is a difficult test and to take it and pass it makes you feel good inside. Some companies do pay a differential per line or for doing QA can reap you more per hour. Again it is a personal choice and no it does not make you a better MT but it certainly makes you feel like you have accomplished something. We need things like feelings of accomplishment in what we do for a living. It's the only credential our field offers and I see nothing wrong with wanting to get it. Go for it and good luck.
