of these platforms. You have to use hot keys. If you like VR and using hot keys, then you should like the platform. I think is is a lot better than EMDAT. I've tried both Beyond Text and EMDAT and thought Beyond Text was better by far. Plus Transcend pays more.

Does anyone now anything about Itype and Iplayer? Specifically, what I need to know is, do you have to be on the Internet to work with this, or can you download files, type them up, and then upload them back?

IMO, Gourdpainter belongs here as much as you or anyone else!
She is a very seasoned MT that we are could learn a few things from. The 15, 20, 30 year MTs on here have a respect for the wisdom, dedication, and professionalism that MTs like Gourdpainter have. And you know what, you can tell who they are and who they are not. This is worthwhile reading of posts. Frankly I get tired of the immature insults, flaming, and I am holier than thou attitude. We can tell who you are too. It's cute to you and maybe you can laugh and get a pat on the back from some others on here, but believe me when I tell you, it gets old and it is not worthwhile reading or very entertaining. You continue to post while most will ignore you - but you really don't have the right to ask others not to. Maybe you have not heard of the word, but it is consideration.

The "work" belongs to the company
If you want consistent work, then hit the pavement and get some accounts for yourself.
Nothing is guaranteed in this profession. No one has stakes on work given out by a company whether it be to an employee or IC. Now, the employee should get at least a base rate if there really truly is no work to be given during that agreed upon shift and none of this check back later which is constantly abused in this profession. ICs are not guaranteed work, I need say no more on that issue, but will state one thing: If you are an IC and run out of work, get another IC job... It's that simple. ICs are free to work for as many companies as they'd like no matter how they like to say set schedule. If they have no work, you as an IC are forced to take matters into your own hands and find several companies to get work from to make a living. Cheers!

Is there any way to get documentation of what, exactly, the 'misconduct' was? It sounds like they're not only being untruthful, they're also being spiteful and vindictive, just because you couldn't meet what was probably an unrealistic daily line minumum on crappy accounts, using substandard software.
