Bayscribe-Anyone have trouble making lines?
I've worked on Bayscribe with 2 different companies now. Only have experience on one other platform (DocQscribe) as far as nationals go, but that was a few years ago now. Just seems like I type awfully long hours to make the same money on Baycribe that I did on DocQscribe. At first, I was thinking it was the accounts I was on, but now I am starting to doubt that as the reason. I am extremely familiar with my accounts, have normals, etc. Anyway, just wondering if anyone else has had the same experience.
Anybody having trouble making
Amphion? I have been with them 3 months and still have not hit my 1200 line goal. Would like to know if anyone else has had this experience.
jumping boards making trouble now?
get off before I tell the moderator on you LOL
does anyone else have trouble making the line count at Transolutions?
I just started not too long ago but I'm struggling .. it just seems hard to get.
Thank you. Someone had mentioned that they had trouble getting lines. Is
there a reason for that. Did you like the accounts they have.
That's way high, it's been so slow, not many making $500 a week right now...

Question for Webmedx Employees--If you find that you have trouble getting 7-8 hours in during--sm
your 12-hour window due to running out of work, are you required to make up those hours outside of your 12-hour window? Will they take away your benefits if you can't get 35-40 hours consistently due to work running out? Thanks!
I don't find it slow at all.
I'm not sure what you find slow. Response time seems satisfactory. I never find myself waiting for it, and I have macros that do all formatting functions so I rarely use any of the cornerstone shortcuts. Anything that can be done with macros should be done with macros. I use IT rather than ShortHand and I can work as fast as I ever have been able to.
Does anyone else find ExText to be slow?
I swear this platform is slowing me down. I have significant delay from uploading one report until the next one loads. Does anyone else have this issue? Is it the server or could it be my PC?
If you are making those lines with....
MQ consider yourself lucky!! I was never, ever to make that kind of a line count with them, even though going in I made that kind of a line count. I haven't worked for any of those other companies, but I make way more money now that I have left them and have been working for a hospital being paid by the minute rather than the line.
Slow way to make lines
A friend has and it was much slower at line production but she had severe carpal tunnel syndrome... so it enabled to her to work is about it.
Where do you work making all those lines?

1800 lines a day is not much when making
That is exactly why I left Transcend. They try to make it look like people can make double what they did straight typing, but it's a crock. Lots of new people were hired at 10 cpl, but you don't earn 10 cpl for editing on BeyondTxt. Calculate what your earnings would be with the rate reduction at 2000 lines per day, which when I left was 55% of normal line rate with no incentive, and calculate what your earnings would be at 1700+ lines a day at 0.085 cpl, but don't forget the incentive rate, which at 1701 lines would have been 0.0075 cpl. Which way is actually making more money?
I've heard that the current rate for editing is 60%, maybe it's gone up. I don't know, but even at 70% a person making 1700 lpd straight typing would have to produce 2210 lpd editing just to break even, and it still wouldn't even be breaking even because the person is still losing the incentive bonus. Transcend's pay restructure benefits Transcend because they no longer have to pay as many people the higher wages they did with straight typing. It still amazes me that so many can't see that. Even if the BT program was the best thing since sliced bread, which it is NOT because there are so many problems with it, there is no way to make more money with editing unless the person is a low to mediocre producer. If you normally produce anything more than 1200+ lpd, Transcend really isn't the company to make money with because there are so many other companies out there that pay much higher. It all depends on what you're looking for.
making those hours/lines
I agree. It's a good company but a struggle to get in hours and make lines. It's has been like that for a while.
Transcend and making lines
Anybody else having to work all day to get a decent line count? I work on escription and have worked on escription before without issue. I can't figure out what the problem is???
Been using it a while and still find no pros...slow/boggy/yuck

I find intern dictators are slow, lots of ums and ahs,

I didn't say she was rude for making more lines
I said she was rude for implying that somehow it was the fault of those who have low volumes and that they should get a life, and I didn't bring up the email because I thought it was inconsiderate. I brought it up because it shows that the company isn't going to acknowledge something that isn't a problem. Besides, if you work there, you know for a fact that a lot of people are posting there about not having work. Are you calling all the people that posted there liars? Why would you come here and act like it's not happening at all? A lot of people that are working other shifts and sit all day long fishing for jobs only to end up using their PTO just to bring in what they're used to. Telling someone to get a life because they have it better than someone else is just plain rude.
2000 lines a day at $0.18 cpl. Believe it.....Not original poster, another one making $$$$. nm

Slow, does not give line counts, if you accidently send on before done, have to find TL to
:}
I disagree. I love Meditech and it is not slow. I currently do 400 lines/hour with sm
my Expander and have no connecting problems. It is not a dial-up connection, it is VPN with DSL. That might be the difference.
There are also two types of Meditech, Client and Magic. I use Magic and love it and Client is supposed to be even better because it is Word-based.
Different strokes for different folks.
I find it interesting that this owner is constantly exposed as a slow to nonpayer with previous
bankruptcy issues and people still go to work for her.. Things that make you go hmmmm. I mean if this were a single incident with a disgruntled worker I could understand, but when GROVES of people complain, she is still able to recruit people. I do not get that. I personally turned her out because the pay was too low for me, but apparently for some, ANY payment on time or at all would be acceptable. People need to take a stand and quit. When she is unable to fulfill her obligations as she leaves her employees struggling to do, maybe she'd get her stuff together.
Keystrokers do you find it difficult to make lines? Almost
a year ago I was offered a position with KS. There were lots of rumors going around about my company so I started looking, but I fell for the lies my MTSO told and stayed put. The rumors became fact and I had to find another job. I just cannot make decent lines with new company. I went from gross line to 65 characters, which by itself can make 100+ lines a day difference. The platform is boggy and I prefer to do Ops only, but doing everything but due to my scheduled work time and the tight TAT of Ops and I'm just not happy.
I was hired for an acute care account doing Ops at KS, but I can't remember any of the other details (other than of course pay). I'm thinking about calling them to see what they may have to offer (they said call if I changed my mind), but don't want to have to start all over again only to find myself in the same situation I'm currently in with no able to make lines.
Also, what kind of Expander can you use. New job uses SH and I really don't like it.
Meditech usually pays by gross lines so I find
that it works out about the same, maybe even a little more per hour. That has just been my experience, though.
Question for anyone currently with DSG. Do you find it is difficult to get good lines there.
I started recently and seem to find it rather difficult to get a good line count for some reason. Help appreciated.
I find the lines don't accumulate as quickly, but the atmosphere is GREAT. nm
Well if I could do 500 lines per hour, I would be making 35.00 an hour. sm
nothing to sneeze at. More than fair for having a 2-year degree. Come on people, we are all acting like we expect 6-digit incomes! Whatev!
Depends on the account. Work on VR lately has been slow. Just like all companies, we have slow times
Honestly though, I have only had 2-3 times in the past 2 years where it was like the other day...no work... It did pick up later but I just think it's important not to make someone think we're overloaded with work all the time. That would not be fair to them if they end up with high expectations.
No - it is not always slow! Depends on the company and hospital. I have never been slow this time
Slow time is usually in September when everyone is back to work/school from the summer months.
Been doing this 24 years and never slow this time of year. Actually, I am drowning in work - can't keep up.
Ok - here ya go. I went from making $1800 per pay period to making just under $900.
Is that significant enough for you? Believe us, we are not just being negative with a grudge or anything like that. This is real! A month later, I was gone from there fast!
Did find a Wright Watson Sten-Tel in Austin if their site isn't old. Find 'em with Google. nm

Trying to find info on Encompass on this board, can't find any recent. sm
Anyone have any current info. Any employees out there? Give me the low-down if you can! Thanks a million.
1800 lines is easily achieved. I average 300-340 lines per hour. nm
x
10 lines per minute = 1500 lines for 150 minutes - average. nm
x
I average 1200-1400 lines per day with a national, and am only getting around 600-800 lines per day.
It's been this way since the day before Thanksgiving. I've been doing this for almost 30 years now, and more often than from Thanksgiving until the new year is the slowest time of the year. I have some months where I am swamped with up to 2000 lines per day. I stash that little extra money, and take advantage of a handful of extremely slow days this time of the year to actually cook dinner, decorate for Christmas, or do Christmas shopping. I actually anticipate this slow time every year and have grown to enjoy the breathing time. Any time I have attempted to pick up extra work with another company to supplement these slow times, the minute I get adjusted to the new accounts, etc. I have no time to finish all of my work because my full time job with national gets slammed again. Hang in there if you can, and hopefully your work will pick up significantly around New Years.
They work with you to make sure you get the lines required or the amount of lines you want...
I have never had a problem getting more work
Minimum lines for FT used to be 60,000 keystrokes a day, about 925 lines. Pay was good. Just not a
s
Yes it is possible to double your lines. I cant type 460 lines an hour but I can get those with VR
x
Yes!! I have been having trouble with that
for some time now. I am just not happy with them because I am on two accounts; one I can get 300 lph on, but they give me the bad one, which I can only get about 120 lph on. I dunno why they do this. I am looking for work elsewhere. It stinks and it will not change obviously. I have been with them a year and am so sick of their games!!
I did not get in trouble...
and I did not get a reply, but I am complying with the email to restrict email at HIS to business only.
The MT who emailed me was just mad at what I had written and she expressed that she felt that what I said did not represent her feelings.
not a bad rap?? Huh - what about the trouble they
got in for not paying overtime? How is it that some people get to be on the same account all the time, while others had to jump from account to account throughout the day? Maybe you are on one of those hospital accounts that is paid through the hospital and not Diskriter - because that is the only way you would be happy and THAT IS THE ONLY WAY THAT DISKRITER will leave you alone to do your job. I can't tell you the number of phone meetings I had to take part in, away from my line count production to listen to garbage and stupid pep rally crap. I'm glad I left when I did, because others I know left as well.
well I have had no trouble with them.
xxxx
I had the same trouble with them.
I've posted this before. She had to put her dog out that kept barking in the background. She wanted to know why I left my previous job on-site (duhhh). It does not take rocket science to figure that I wanted to work from home. I would be skeptical to give out office/physician names of your accounts if you have any. It makes me wonder if they want some of this information so they can target the offices you work for and go in for the kill. Is this just me being paranoid? This can be a real cut-throat profession.
D&L is in trouble, better get out
while you can. I would call tech (if they still have a tech guy left) and then Donna... For your own sake, get out while you can... They have no intensions of paying the people they owe. I would not let them get behind in your pay.. when the excuses start, stop typing.. I should have long before they owed me three paychecks. Good luck. Does not sound good though. Are the phones still on?
Of course they got in trouble (sm)
As you said, they were dictating ALL parameters . Did you take a few minutes to read the article that I posted? It clearly states what an IC contract should include, which in part is the definition of the project, the deadline for when the project should be completed, and the rate of pay for the project. It also states that a company can refuse work from a contractor that is not to standard. The article confirms everything that I said from the beginning of this conversation.
Trouble too, not just you! sm
I also have had trouble making my line count! I don't think it is just you. However, I have been with many, many companies in the past few years and I just keep running out of work at all of them, so I'm staying put for now because at least if I run out here, I get paid. I keep track of every minute I am out of work. I was just switched to a new account (quite difficult), but at least I always have work and I think I can get used to the difficulty. Oh, how I miss the days of doing 300 lph and actually having money, though!
Have you had any trouble getting -
I recall a couple of posts in the last month or so claiming DV doesn't pay. Have you run into this problem yet?
You trying to cause trouble sm
I am here working today. I have not received even a single email telling me to work, not a thing!
I didn't have work the first hour today, but I went and did something else for an hour, came back and I have had steady work since. I even have some of my favorite things, which is unusual in the morning.
If you could just hear yourself!
why go through so much trouble?
I don't understand why the company went through so much trouble, risking their name/reputation, and the chance of a law suit, knowing that it could be proven that you did not send the email yourself if you indeed didn't. Why didn't they just let you go. If any of what the previous poster stated is true, they had reason for dimissal, if you frauded your timecard, if you constantly complained to co-workers, etc. If any of that was true, they could have fired you for those reasons. Why would they go through such drastic measures to fire you, that's what I can't understand. I'm not saying I don't believe you, just seems hard to believe a company would go through all that. What's your thoughts, why would they do this instead of just letting you go?
Not much, it seems, except cause trouble.
The trouble with VR
VR in and of itself is not a bad thing. It is the idea put forth by the slick salesmen that MTs can produce twice as much in an hour as they did by standard typing. But the going rate is 3 cpl which works out to 6 cpl if you were to extrapolate out the exchange rate for standard typing. Ya follow? So now we are at 6 cpl. That is way below what the going rate for straight typing is. But they deceive you by offering 8 cpl for standard typing and 3 cpl for VR. But there is very little standard typing so you end up making 3 cpl and in an hour you may make 6 cpl. So how did they arrive at that price? Because they push the envelope as far as they think it will go. And as long as we let them, they will continue the abuse.
