I was curious, because when I started the job I told them I would NOT travel. I have a big fear of planes and trains. I did not ask for smart remarks.
But ... you travel to train to CA ... what's not to like about that/ :-) sm
You can take it as a business expense. Of course, I have no family to consider and love to travel, so obviously I am not like a lot of people (in many ways! ha).
The bad ones travel in gangs, when they ..SM
move to a new company, the entire gang will eventually follow within months. That is why the list of bad companies changes, a company might be horrible and then within 6 months the entire management team will start rushing to change companies when their behavior gets them in hot water.
the only thing I know is you have to travel

Yup, still have to travel to NJ for a long training
course! Forget about it!!
Ridiculous in this day and age to travel for training.
Beyond unnecessary. I live in NJ and wouldn't do it - very horrible area - city - no way, Jose! Most MTs I know in NJ wouldn't give it a second thought!! Much ado about nothing to us! And yes, we are pros - just don't need our hand held for training on any platform!
I'm not a coffee drinker either, but a travel
mug is good to drink anything if you are going to have it sitting on your desk beside your equipment while you work.
How do you connect to the Internet when you travel? nm

Does Silent Type still require travel to NJ for training?
