I have to start thinking in a rational sense of mind and it probably would be totally unprofessional on their part for them to hold back lines in retribution. But, I still don't think it is fair that our compensation as an employee is contingent upon someone else completing their part of the job. If we go to a doctor could we tell him that we'll pay him his copay as soon as the lab verifies his diagnosis?
I agree that it will most likely show up in the next pay period, but I just don't like the idea of carrying things over from pay period to pay period because too many things become 'lost' or 'forgotten.' My bills won't wait because I didn't get paid on time because someone else dropped their ball.
I think, too, what bothers me the most is the nonchalant attitude about it, not answering emails or returning phone calls.
