Your post doesn't answer the question I asked.
You said you LIKE to pay your bills, you have a good rapport with your supervisor, you're flexible. Does "you're flexible" mean that you work in addition to your 8-hour shift when the work load is low to make your 20K lines per pay period?
Someone below asked why no posts about KS lately? I can answer for me at least. sm
I used to post on here as a cheerleader for KS but was always bashed so I stopped posting. I went to the owner of the company about the bashing, and she responded that while she used to get upset by this board and others like it, she stopped paying attention to it and decided that if someone had a decision to make, they would make that decision based on facts, not on an anonymous board. She advised that I not take it personally, but I still did.
About 15 months ago, another company contacted me and promised the moon. I asked KS to match it, and they would not, so I left. I became one of the nay say'ers thinking that they did not care enough to make a valuable employee stay and still did not have insurance that was affordable.
Fast forward a year. The company I left for did not live up to any promises. I applied for, was hired at and worked for a month or two or even three for five more companies in 10 months.
Last December, I decided to swallow my pride and go to the owner of Keystrokes to ask if I could come back. She sent me to the recruiter who made me reapply, send my resume, answer the question sheet and take the test. She then offered me my position back on a different account and my same pay rate. I jumped on it and have not regretted it for one second.
I love my job, love Keystrokes and plan on staying for a very long time. The grass is NOT greener on the other side!
Asked for a raise; no answer in a month
I don't know what to do and thought someone's expertise could help me. I have been at my company over a year. I am the primary Transcriptionist on the account and keep it afloat. When others don't get their work done they call on me and I do their work also. Extra work, I do it. I asked for a raise 4 weeks ago and I am getting the run around. I keep being sent to another person, another person, now this person knows, no now back to that person, etc. I just want an answer!!! I feel like I am pestering them now but I feel I deserve an answer either way. What more can I do? I sent 2 emails last week and have had no response now.
I asked for Transolutions Administration to answer this question.

Hey, Donna D. asked a question and I gave an answer...
so why don't you smite Donna D. for keeping the thread going.
they didn't tell you? never asked?
-
she didn't ask that. She asked if it sm
was legal. Yes it's legal. If the company wants to do it this way you have to do it or not work for them. Bottom line you are an IC you can do what they require or not and go someplace else.
I didn't ask for your wages. I asked for help and if I'd have to work
and I didn't really think it would be like pulling teeth because MOST people at Transcend are willing to help when you ask WITHOUT the attitude. But if you post on the forum like you do here, it's obvious who you are.
Someone asked in March and didn't get a reply, either. nm
s
I asked today and was told they didn't know when
they would be getting new accounts for DQS. I wish everyone would get on the same page.
I didn't try again, but once you got a few screens in, it asked for a $25 fee to your charge card
s
I didn't say anything about expecting ... I just asked a simple question. sm
I have worked long enough at the company to know their practices so was just surprised, that is all. It is nice of you to chime in with your veiled criticism, though. It is no big deal. I just found out last night that I need new tires for my car, and waiting 1 more day to have that done won't kill me.
There ARE troublemakers on this board, but I was not stirring up trouble. I just know that things have slipped through the cracks sometime and was just checking. The faster I get it solved, the faster I get paid.
No matter what, I hope you have a good day and everyone treats you better than you treat them.
Exactly! I vey much appreciate getting an answer on here because my lead didn't know!
My lead was wondering the same thing, and she didn't know why it was down, so thank you very much KS MGR for clearing that up for us! I really appreciate the info!
I didn't really answer your question, no you don't have to tell
anyone you need to go to a doctor's appointment, etc. As long as you get your lines done in that 12 hour period is all they are concerned about, but you still have to clock in and out, so if you leave during your shift you will need to clock out and then clock back in.
You didn't answer the question
I call your attention to the question in my previous post as follows:
if you have posted good about your company before, you won't mind doing it once more will you? If there are good MTSOs out there people should be told. Grow a gourdhead and the posters who post obnoxious comments in response to your honest opinion won't bother you any more than what you just posted about me bothers me.
As for those senior moments, in case you are having one....yes, I said that if people don't help themselves they can't count on anyone else doing it for them. I was speaking of organizing (not necessarily union), sticking together and working together for the benefit of ALL MTs, isn't that what AAMT started out to do back in the 70s? It could be done and it seems to me that those who can't pay their bills and have to choose between a loaf of bread and a quart of milk have little to lose.
As for my husband's pension, since you brought it up, I HAVE mentioned that numerous times in the context of his being a UNION MEMBER and thus having excellent benefits. As a medical Transcriptionist for many years, I had no such retirement benefits but had sufficient income for investments that would solidify my retirement. It appears to me that the majority of MTs in 2009 have no such opportunity. In my considered opinion they deserve much better and I feel it would behoove us oldsters, such as you and I, to do whatever we can to help them along the way.
As a matter-of-fact, you are correct, I have much time on my hands. I have a lot of things I am involved with but I still have time on my hands because 1) I'm a workaholic and do everything at the speed of light even in my advancing age and 2) I require very little sleep. It has crossed my mind to start a NON-PROFIT (meaning no dues) for MTs for the purpose of lobbying for better pay and working conditions for medical transcriptionists. To date I have only one seemingly insurmountable problem.....a mailing list for MTs.
I don't mind your quoting me but I would greatly appreciate if you would get your facts straight and I thank you in advance for doing so.
I didn't ask about Medscribe, I asked about Mediscript in FLA. No direct deposit w/this co.
You didn't exactly answer the question. Let her decide for herself. nm

I asked for the above post.... more
....to be removed. I asked nicely. The administrators on this site decided not to take it down. How sweet of them to do that.
Be careful of posting on sites that don't allow self-editing or self-deleting. If you make an error, stupid or not, it's yours to eat. The people here will not help you.
I had a post removed too and all I asked was about
companies that hire for Radiology.
OK< but the post asked who would SUPPORT
the concept?
You are *totally* entitled to having all or mostly negative feelings toward unions - they can be just as bad as nothing.
So, we'll put you down for a no thanks and move on... :)
post asked about 10 cpl for transcribing, not VR

In answer to your post
People wanted to know the company name so I answered the question.
Maybe because not ALL companies post there. He/She just asked a simple question!
x
Oops, I just asked if they outsource before I read your post! SM
That is the exact reason why I am looking for a new company is voice recognition that my account just started doing very heavily, and I HATE it! If I don't get an e-mail response from them by Monday, I might call them to see if they have any current openings.
Too busy working to post anything...plus no one has asked any questions about them lately...
nm
I just asked the moderator to remove Denise's post...sm
from the board. Since we all figured that she must be new on this board making such a faux pas, I thought that she does not know how to tell the moderator to remove her post.
you read the post before you answer! sm
I said I was asked to do this account but didn't because of what I had heard.
Why is it whenever somebody has something to say about their experience about any company there aer always people here to b@*^! and moan and practically call them liars.
Some folks have good experiences with one company while another does not. Geeze get over it.
To answer your last post, i've been at MQ 10 years
The supervisors are downright cold compared to the ones I actually knew and accommodated me instead of jerking me around. I still do what i'm supposed to, it just goes unnoticed. Its scary to think, even in spite of doing a job well done, it could just be taken away like that with no regard. I just find myself panicked with the type of work i'm getting now, lack of communication, and these posts saying its only going to get worse. If I had a backup plan, I wouldn't be so frazzled all the time. But this is it for now.
Sory for double post, please answer at least one...LOL

Where's my post??wanted to check for an answer
I posted yesterday looking for information on a company that had called me. I cannot find my post or any answers. Is this board pruned regularly? Could not find anything in the archives either. thanks - i may just need to post again.
Do you think you get a better response to post your resume on here or answer ads on here. Which one
seems to give the best result.
I hope you saw my original answer to this post
over on the main board before they moved your post and thus dropped my reply....
$48 for the medical, $10 for the dental, and I don't know how much for the vision because I didn't opt in for it this year. That's per paycheck, do double that to get the monthly fee. I did opt for the higher-deductible medical; the lower-deductible premium share was about twice as much.
I'm like to know the answer to her post also. I have worked for an MT company in NY state,
and while I lived in another state at that time, I received full benefits; Ic or employee status had no bearing on receiving benefits. If I were the original poster, I would check this company out very thoroughly. Something just doesn't sound right tax-wise.
I agree...you post a simple answer and someone has a bad day and WHAM...
turns into a huge thing...
The post didn't come from CW or me
She hasn't come here since she started working on her own blogging site.
No, I didn't get that out of the post.
You better watch rolling those eyes or they're liable to pop outta your head and roll across the floor.
Hey, I didn't post this!
I think I've just been a victim of identify theft!
I sure didn't post this either
xx
I really didn't post this either
x
Didn't the post say I need more than 1,200 a day!!??
It does not say that is all I could type in a day, now does it? It says that is the minimum required by companies. However, on so many days you have to fight to get that much, and it may take you 10 or more hours to do it. No, not because I type that slow but because the work is not there!! Geeze.
Didn't post here...
the message was moved here. Sorry if that offended you. Not my action.
Sorry, didn't mean to place my post here.
x
Sorry, C-smg, I didn't see your post. GMTA. nm
:+
I see that my post was removed - i didn't say anything bad
but it was removed. Glad I got the chance to vent and that 11 people got to read it.
Didn't they post the same job four times
I would think that only one recruiter/owner would need to post for a transcriptionist, not four. The one was titled Police Reports, but then on the inside it was medical transcription clinic work. I'm not so sure about that one.
I didn't say that post was slanderous
Read it again, and no....I don't watch garbage TV, I guess that's why I'm so naive.
Didn't you ever think recruiters post these..
nm
I see you didn't listen to my last post sm
TT MANAGEMENT DOES NOT GET PAID HOLIDAYS. They are SALARIED. That means NO EXTRA for overtime, NO COMP DAYS either. They work when they are told. I can't be told to work on my days off, but management CAN and they frequently DO work on their so-called time off. Given that I make more than many people in management at TT, I will not begrudge them taking off Christmas or New Year's or whatever pittance they get in the way of a holiday off. I know 3 people in management who worked yesterday, from home on their *paid holiday* so that those of us who were working had a go-to person. They have management around between 6 a.m. and midnight 7 days a week, 356-1/4 days a year, and tech support too. If this **** you off so much, GO FIND A JOB WITH A SALARY and get a grip! I have had a salaried job and guess what? Worked more hours in a year for less pay than I get on production. You just aren't bright enough to see the writing on the wall. How is it you MT when you can't read?
The rest of us get it! We know you didn't post the
nm
sorry LTMT I didn't see you post before sm
I put mine about the pay for straight versus VR. Makes no sense to me either.
Well, my entire post didn't take
Anyway, the entire report would be free of most formatting.
