I am not sure why this seems so aggravating...

I know when I heard all the glowing things about TT and applied, it wasn't quite how it had been described. Everyone certainly is very, very busy and tough to get a hold of, but I think that has to be a good thing. They are growing and not losing accounts. I worked at my first job and in only 6 months they lost that account to the company's India counterpart.

The job I left was not ideal, actually far less. I was hired on an account I liked and got promoted to accounts I hated. There was no consideration of a line increase unless I took impossible work (the only person they had to edit it was my supervisor - even their QA staff didn't do it), and there are only 2 bonus structures.

I had specific work related questions, as in who is the new doctor everyone is referring to?, still outstanding since I asked in November. Most e-mails were responded to as see attached or I've never heard of that (if they were responded to.) They had the most annoying habit about getting chatty about their vacations (yes, ALL of them) but your only other communcation was an e-mail at the beginning of the day with the total backlogged jobs in it.

The physicians on my account regularly had entire conversations with others (no hold buttons here), some who only spoke every 5th line into the phone (which makes for quite a headache when they are suddenly SCREAMING in your ear), and many just gave ESL a bad name. There was one who actually kind of hummed/chanted if she could not figure out her next sentence.

I was told by the recruiter, who has never typed a single line in his life, all the reasons I couldn't have a line rate increase because Viet Nam is doing transcription now and line rates are NOT going up, yet I am pretty sure he at least gets a cost of living increase.

Long story short, I just know that every time I put my feelers out for a better job, it was a total reality check for me until now. I even knew what a crappy job I had, and there were WORSE ones. If you really are not sure about where you are, check out the competition. You will either find greener pastures or argh won't feel as bad :)
