I am not deceptive, nor am I a bully...

I interviewed with this company, but I did not test. With my years of experience, I was not required to test. I sent a resume, that took 30 seconds, they emailed, I read it, that took 30 seconds. They called me and told me about the position, that took 5. I am happy with my job, but it does not hurt anyone to keep their eyes open to the market and see if anything else is better. After learning about the company, I learned it was not better, so I declined. How is that destroying my credibility? Let me guess, you aren't even one that works mandatory weekends, you are just on here writing and bullying because that is how you get your kicks? Classic!

That is the owner's home. Office is in Ahmedabad, India. It is deceptive sm
to advertise otherwise. All of the work is sent to and comes from India.
Bully for you!
I have been at this type of work for over 20 years. I made more money in the 1980s than I do now. Think about it, people - I am making the same line rate I made in 1985. This is truly sad. The operator is right.
But what can we do? If we refuse to do the work, it will just be outsourced. We can't win at this point, I don't think.
Bully-be-gone
oo
Sure you're a bully
not because of what you say (which is true) but because of the way you say it (which is unkind and judgmental). I wish you a Merry Christmas and a happier day tomorrow.
I am not a bully. I'm simply trying to tell the OP
to do something about her situation instead of whining about it and posting on here that there is no work and looking for pity.
There are plenty of companies hiring. What's wrong with google? Ever heard of that?
Geez - try to help someone and you're called a bully, Grinch, and told to go away.
So what does the OP want? Because at this point, I'm clueless as to what she would expect with a post like that. Almost any company on here would kill for a 3rd shift MT.
Sorry, but yeah you really are being a bully.x

Actually that's sounds like something the company bully would say.
They let other personal issues bleed into their work environment and feel they have the right to bully all the MTs they can, because they want everyone to be as miserable as them. There is no room for rudeness to anyone by anyone. Thankfully I work at a company that would never tolerate that bad attitude and people treat each other with respect. It is very refreshing.
If you think I'M a bully you're incredibly naive
There's nothing remotely bullying about my post. I stated my opinion. You post on here asking for opinions and I gave you one. It just wasn't the self-serving opinion you were seeking assuring you that you did the right thing.
Yes, perhaps you did the right thing for you by turning that job down; but if you're so happy where you're at, why are you wasting the time of MTSOs and perhaps pushing other MTs out of the running so they can spin their wheels with you? Also, about 98% of these posts on the job seekers board indicate when a weekend day will be required; you should have known going in when you applied apparently just out of curiosity that a weekend day would be required.
Sorry, but I'll leave you to your God and your family and your ability to pick and choose 'wonderful' job offers.
I'm just glad another MT will get a shot at this job who realizes people do indeed need reports transcribed on the weekend, and I certainly hope your God is on standby if a loved one ever needs a critical care transport and all reports transcribed and ready to go, because if the staff is a bunch of MTs refusing to work weekends, it could be a real inconvenience to have to wait until Monday for the official transcribed documents to be completed and faxed.
I'm done here...
