Seymour already works there, hence the mention of one of their clients who obviously is heavy ESL, despite the fact that the recruiter advertises no ESLs. Maybe she means that one particular account, but I can't see placing all new hires on that one account. Silly me, that's what they do with ALL new hires and that's why they're running out of work all the time until everyone quits and then all the cheerleaders come on the board talking about how much work they have. Well, duh....could it be cuz nobody's there anymore?

Does anyone know if MDI still has their own message board open? It was one they had through the mditrans site. I tried to access it recently and wasn't able to.

You can block your e-mail so no one can contact you privately; some people like to be contacted via e-mail, others do not. I am not sure how to do that, but contact the moderator.
Even if you had posted the article, that is fine; I love working for a company that is the #1 publicly traded company in Georgia. Mr. Gerdes just sent out an e-mail stating that we also were ranked highly in Forbes. With all of the horrible economic news, I am glad I work for a stable company. It's not for everyone though - to each his/her own.

It's pretty interesting in that some posts have been made in regard to stocks being valuable based on the MTs. One even said that As long as there is cash in the bank and transcriptionists transcribing it remains a viable opportunity. I wonder if they know all the problems with keeping transcriptionists transcribing there. I also wonder if that post came from Transcend management.

Basically all their MTs are in India and they LIE big time!! Very very disorganized...right hand has NO CLUE what the left hand is doing. Talkin about jumpin thru hoops too GEESH. The pay scales works like this..if you edit something already edited by an Indian you get 0.015 cpl if you just edit an Indian's work it is 3 cpl. What a mess they are!!

I guess I was confused...didn't realize poster...
was referring to hourly wages. Whenever I worked an hourly job, lunches were not paid--had to punch in and out.. The 15-minute breaks were paid though...didn't have to punch the ol' card for those.
I just get rubbed raw at the hourly thing because the average at-home transcription gig pays on production and to mandate that someone has to be sitting in front of their monitor from such and such a time or else is just very disheartening. We know we have to work our buttinski's off or we bring home a crappy paycheck and we recognize TATs that have to be met...treat us like the professionals we are and we'll all be happy, know what I'm sayin?

Some posts are over the line, but most are just people who want a place to talk to others in the same boat they are. I guess since the last 2 companies purchased made good cpl Transcend is willing to pay them what they made, really not fair for others only making 8 cpl, but I guess they gotta cut corners somewhere in order to keep the new Transcenders happy. I think you all are getting the best deal they have to offer.

They told the board administrator that they didn't
offshore, when there was proof that they did. Whether or not they posted the other stuff I don't know, but they lied and got caught at it and if that doesn't make them look bad, considering how sensitive an issue offshoring is, I don't know what will. They probably didn't think they would get caught.

Not that anyone asked my opinion and I'm just adding my 2 cents after just finding this website 2 days ago. All bulletin boards are the same - they get real nasty, unfortunately.
Personally, I don't see how personal attacks on how someone left a former company is productive or conducive to learning on these bulletin boards. Posting people's personal info on whether they were fired or not should also not be allowed.

Is there any way to do a search on this board and come up with the more recent posts? Whenever I do a search, I come up with posts as of 7-8 months ago and then older, and I know there are posts from just a week ago. Am I doing something wrong, or is there no way to include the most recent posts (up to within the last few days) in a search. TIA.
