They don't RESENT paying technologists a decent wage for THEIR skilled labor, but somehow there is a mindset against paying a SKILLED Transcriptionist what THEY are worth.
NOTE TO HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATORS: We are NOT typists!!
Think of us more as TRANSLATORS and you'll see our fees/wages are BARGAINS.
Remember: These are not just medical documents, they are legal documents as well. If you want to chance those documents to people who work at bargain basement prices, you are taking a litigious gamble...

I'm sorry for your losses, but I really resent your
saying that basically posters who do not put their names are not honest. You've got to be kidding me, though sadly you're not. You're with Transcend, and your post is glowing, obviously you feel ingratiated -- indebted -- to them, including posting names of those you wish to praise. Obviously you would want them to know its you. But for those of us who had unhappy experiences, its not really appropriate to be posting our names with our experiences. I gave exit interviews and shared my unhappiness, and was asked to stay, which I declined. Its naive to think that I am dishonest because I don't want to post my name. Again, I am sorry for your losses, but the sum and substance of your recommendation for Transcend is that they are a great company to work for when you have death and illness in your life. For me, the daily 24/7 routine during blessed periods in my life with no tragedy was torture, pure torture. So, I'd rather not base my decision to try a company based on the tragedy situations, but the daily ones. Again, great that they treated you right. I'm sure my company would do the same. You are just way off base by implying that negative posters who give full details are being dishonest simply because we choose not to put our true names out here. And just because you post a name, including details of a story, still does not mean you are you. You still could be Transcend management with an imaginary employee who you treated wonderfully. No way to know in the internet who is real and who isn't.
Because some people RESENT typing new accts-h-m-m- wonder who.
I didn't propose anything so i rather resent your "rah rah" sm
comment. I just stated what I heard about a timeline.
Sorry if you are such a poor budgeter that you can't live through the EXPECTED SLOW TIMES OF THE MT profession. I plan ahead during the overtime times, and SAVE some money.
I resent being called clueless. If you don't work at
Precyse, don't attack me or the company. We're all trying to survive in this market.

Corporate mentality
I am sure at least some of you saw on the news about the hospital shootings in Calif. yesterday. I was just talking to my neighbor today, who is a Occupational Therapist there. She was saying how bad the atmosphere in the entire hospital has been for the past 8 months. Somewhere along the line I think the compassion and caring has gone out of corporate healthcare. It is only about the almightly dollar now. This particular facility has been very secretative about lay-offs in the past months. People get called in and told you have 15 minutes to be out of the building. What ever happened to two weeks notice, they want their employees to give them two weeks notice before they quit but when they want to get rid of someone they just smack them in the face with it. The rumors were flying that there were going to be more layoffs and the shooter, whom everyone says was a really great guy, was apparently stressed out over the fact that he would be let go. It is a sad situation all over but if the corporations would care more about their employees and less about saving a buck morale in this country would be alot better than it is right now. My neighbor said they brought in a new CEO and that is when things got really bad. The real tragedy is that the manager of the department he worked in had just come up with a plan by changing schedules, and cutting costs in some other areas he was not going to have to lay anyone off. Everyone is saying if only the guy had talked to his boss. 8 kids are now without fathers. The hospital spokesperson steadfastly denied any future layoffs but the rumor is they are going to happen in June, it will be interesting to see how they do that after they got on nationwide TV and said no more layoffs are planned. A really tragic story, the guys who were all wonderful fathers gone for nothing.
not only the corporate mentality of sm
the way they treat employees but also the way the medical profession treats patients.
I have a chronic illness that puts me in the hospital every so often and I am telling you the care (or lack of) is ridiculous. Hubby works for this particular hospital for the last almost 20 years and he says he fears the day when some idiot comes in and starts mayhem. We did have an incident three years ago where some guy whose son had died went to the office where the doctor was at and shot and killed him. Worked out that he wasn't so ticked at the doc but he was ticked at the care his son got in the hospital and took it out on the doc. I am to the point I think the whole medical profession is something to stay away from.
Typical mentality: TAKE, TAKE, TAKE ..nm
I don't agree with this at all and this is the mentality that is hurting
Our paycheck is earned by us for our work, our skill, and our experience. A "thank you" is a little extra shown by your employer in appreciation for the little (or sometimes a lot) extra that you do for them. The thank you doesn't have to be monetary, just simply words of appreciation. I get really tired of hearing people say that our paycheck should be enough for all that we do. Sure, it's enough... if all we do is what we've been hired to do. But, if we go above and beyond, what's wrong with the company going above and beyond by saying "thank you".
We resent converted wav files that will work in any player. All positions at this point have been

Giant Red Flag. If that's the company mentality, I'd cut my losses quickly.
