and I advised you long ago this was not a reliable service - unless I am mistaken - and I could be. And my biggest question - are you absolutely positive you will get insurance with them? Last time I knew they hired ICs only. Truthfully, I would go for the unemployment and find another job with another service.

It took a couple of months
I got behind on bills and had to move on.
When I last talked to them a couple months ago, I believe it was

I hired on there a couple of months ago ...
and it's been a wonderful employment experience. They were very timely in responding to my resume and setting up an interview, and I had an immediate job offer. My account is great and so is my manager. Everything that I was told in the interview has proven to be true. I plan to make this my long-time home. I feel so blessed to have found this company.
I interviewed with them a couple of months ago ...
From what I can remember when I searched the archives they seemed to be one of the better companies. The recruiter, Rhonda, is great, very friendly, very knowledgeable. I decided, however, to go with a smaller company, one that focuses on clinic notes, where I have a Mon-Fri schedule and could not be happier.
Hope that this helps a little.
Worked there for 2 yrs and left a couple months ago.
Couldn't take working with unqualified people any longer. A very unprofessional company.
I started at amphion a couple of months ago
and I love it! I stay on the same account and never run out of work. They are BEGGING for overtime, which they do pay extra for. The people are so nice and helpful. I would definitely recommend trying them out. Good luck.
Just left Precyse a couple months ago and it
was still that same way. Nothing has changed, but the work coming from India has improved.
Left a couple of months ago and the plan will not
change until end of October. Do you want family or just employee and children? If I remember correctly - the employee plus child(ren) was running about 225+ a paycheck and family (employee + spouse and/or children) was running high 300s per paycheck.
They sent an email asking for leads a couple of months ago
Did you try and weren't chosen, or for some reason not want to be a lead?
I left a couple of months for the same thing. The prior
3 months I was lucky to get in 800 lines a day. I had a couple of days where I got maybe 4 reports. I would sit in front of my computer for 12 hours/day, checking every 5 minutes, and still couldn't get my lines with 3 different accounts.
They hire away ahead of time for new accounts and after training they have to do something with them until the account goes live so they put them on other accounts temporarily and then there isn't enough work for the regulars.
When I first started running out of work I watched the backlog report to see where an account might have a big backlog and there were 3 or 4 who were on OT most of the time, but when I asked to be put on one of those accounts I was told no. There were many days that it looked like half the accounts had a 0 backlog. Then they started hiring for 3-day weeks and 4-day weeks so there was no work on weekends to try to make up your lines/hours.
I do know Webmedx bought TransHealth a couple of months ago. nm

I give her a couple more months and she will take a serious nose dive. She has to keep replacing he
and start all over cheating them out of money.
TransTech LOW and NO WORK consistently for many months now, especially within the past couple
of months when they thought they were getting a new account and hired everyone who called or submitted a resume. There is just NO WORK for all of us anymore. Lost account, so what did they do -- put those MT's piled on top of us on our primary account.
TT is in serious trouble, I do believe, financially. If they are having to pay MANY MT's, but have few accounts, they won't last for long. Who is TT's financial backer????? Do they have one???? Who owns TT??? I once heard a real estate broker owned them. Wonder how much rent they pay on their office in Houston??? Wonder how many $$$$ in bonuses they are giving out to mgmt-type people????
We TT MT's are seriously hurting financially and getting very stressful on our health and livelihood. We hear absolutely nothing from mgmt about this situation, but *good things* are coming. You remember when the Q said the same thing to their MT's a few years ago and it was only beneficial to mgmt. It was a real crock!!!!!
I must say that my job that I used to enjoy beginning my shift every day is now the MOST stressful thing in my life, and we ALL have stressors of one kind of another, admit or not. TT has become the biggest stress in my life, without a doubt. A doctor friend of mine and my own personal doctors say that is what my problem is.
These MTSO's have gotten just as greedy as GMC and all those other HUGE conglomerates!
I did address this in a couple of posts, actually
And extremely hard ESLs are usually much simpler on VR than straight typing, for some bizarre reason (I guess it's easier for technology to decipher them than the English-speaking ear?).
As I just said in a previous post, too many MTs overriding the system with personal preferences, unnecessary expansions, etc., will prevent the system from ever being able to process at its full potential.
Please note, however, that I'm not the only one posting who does very well with VR. While I made it a point to clarify that I had a very good account with good dictators, others are having success as well, presumably with different employers, different accounts, and different dictators.
And I'll pass on that offer to try out the Q. Life's too short for that particular brand of misery. I truly sympathize for all of you Q'ers every time I read the posts over there. It sounds just awful, so I'm going to take your word for it!
Reason I deleted a couple of posts here (SM)
The post above is answering the original thread.
If you wish to discuss any other topics on MQ, we have an MQ board for it.
Otherwise, simply stay to the topic and answer the original thread.

Couple of posts above it was 4 new accounts, now it's 20? Make up your
mind!
See thread a couple of posts below about TransTech. Very positive.

Look down just a couple posts to earlier today for info about OSI.

I've been with them for a couple of years
Nothing changed from that article and it was a story about an incident from 15 years ago. The work is steady and my paycheck is on time. I have no complaints.
I've tried just a couple but one bad one is enough. Here is just a sample..
MDI-FL, TransHealth, Precyse, Focus Infomatics... and I just started doing this at-home thing for a little over a year. What a bad deal.. I've been turned down by Spheris and Wedmedx because I did not meet their qualifications, although I have been doing this for 13 years with approximately five in acute care so go figure. I have worked for hospitals locally etc.. I thought working at home would be a good change..NOT.. what a nightmare, terrible supervisors, benefits, low pay, disorganization and much, much more. I may have to go back to the hospitals.
I've been there a couple years and.....
I struggle everyday to meet my production. I'm really beginning to beleive the posts about the lines. I was PT with a different company before coming to TT and exceeded these lines in less than 6 hours. Something doesn't feel right here.
Read through old posts, discussed a few times the last couple of weeks. nt
Couple of posts down on this board show many leaving Amphion lately. nm

I've done this a couple of times in the past
I had specific questions regarding the platform and Expander program compatiblities, as well as how lines are counted among other issues. As the recruiter did not know the answer to these questions, I was given the name and number of the MT manager to speak with. At least one job I declined based on the manager's responses, not because I thought she did not handle the questions well, but found out enough to know the company was not what I was looking for.
On those occasions where I spoke directly to the MT manager, the companies were very impressed with my knowledge of both MT and word processing/computer issues and ended up wanting me to come to work to a greater degree than I feel they would have if I had not talked to the manager.
I don't think it would be inappropriate to ask. The worst that can happen is the recruiter says no and can't answer your detailed questions. In that case, that company is not a right fit for you.
there are a couple of recent posts on the main board, bout halfway down...
Also check the archives, you could do much better for yourself...
With all the posts last few months about this co. not

I've been there a couple of years and it has been a good fit for me, very flexible with my schedu
as long as production is being met. We are definitely a growing company and sounds like you have the experience that we need. Paychecks have been always on time for me, direct deposit.
I've been posting the same thing for a couple of years. I don't understand
why people feel like their company has to provide insurance and they may take a job they hate just for insurance. Getting your own policy is almost always cheaper and then you aren't tied to a job/company you hate.
If you have pre-existing conditions situation may be different.
I've on been at MDI-MD a few months but
I have never had to scrape for work. I can make my line count and then some and there have been huge backlogs on my accounts often. Even when there aren't, I have several accounts I can fall back on to get my line count or more.
I've been with TT for about 9 months.
They are a great company, great benefits, good communication, great IT department, rare technical problems that are handled very quickly, lower line rate requirement than most, frequent bonuses for working extra, helpful QA. Not that I'm cheerleading.
And Keystrokes sounds just as good, so the main difference might be the line rate you can get.
I've been there about two months and
it is true they've run out of work often. They don't really keep you updated on why except once it was something about the weather. They aren't that bad really. I like that I can use IM to contact QA at night. The QA person is actually very helpful and not a hag like other companies I've worked at. That part I like. I had one night that I was feeling sort of really discouraged and she was able to give me a pep talk and even project some humor into it and I went away feeling much better. The girl that works in the office is nice also and helpful.
I guess you have to look at the pros and cons and I'd say probably it's 50/50 with this company. I'm undecided if I'll stay here for long and I'm waiting to see how the summer goes and if the work picks up any.
I do have to agree on the platform which is Apex. It's not the best platform for MT work I don't think. I think it's very basic and not very production minded. I've also wondered about the line counts as they don't seem what they should be.
I've been doing VR for several months.
I wasn't able to make my line counts at first. It was slow going for me to adjust. I can make better than my old line counts now (took about a month for me), but I can't double the counts. So I'm making less money in my usual shift. This means I work extra hours to make up the difference. So, I lose and someone else wins.
My problem with VR is not with the work. I like the work. I dislike the 1/2 line rate. Why half? Who came up with that? I may not apply my fingers to the keyboard for each and every word on the screen, but I sure do apply my BRAIN to each and every word. My job is about my knowledge, not about my fingers.
Lucky for me, I'm not the sole bread winner in the family. If our situation changes, than we're in trouble.
I've been doing VR for several months.
I had an immediate DRASTIC reduction in pay. I've increased my lines, but can't possibly make twice the number of lines I made doing straight traditional, especially with low work. I often find myself getting a mix from both my accounts, meaning I'm shifting between different AS, work types and dictators, which slows me down, too.
I'm looking at a career change. This is the end of the road for MT, IMO. I'd happily do VR, as I like if, IF they paid a better rate. I can do more lines, but who can realistically double their lines? We're getting shafted, and I hate it.
I thought there were posts a few months ago saying they laid off 50-some people. nm
I've been starving for months!!! sm
I haven't gotten a decent line count since January!!! I finally was forced to look for work elsewhere before I went under completely. Yes, the people there are really nice, with the exception of a few that are either still there or have come and gone, but overall if they can't provide enough work to their long-term dedicated employees, or should I say ICs, then they're going to lose us. What other choice do we have?!!
I've been there 2 months now and love it!
So far, it is by far the best national I've worked for.
I've been there 14 months. The above poster...sm
must be thinking of a company with a similar name because Advanced Transcription, Inc., out of Oregon does not outsource and the people that set me up were definitely American and I have had contact with them over the past 14 months. My trainer was also American and lives in Michigan. In my opinion, they are a very good company to work for. The pay has always been on time or early via direct deposit and the owner/staff/editors that I have dealt with have been more than pleasant. Feel free to e-mail me if you want more information.
I've only been there 6 months so I can't attest
to how the MT supervisor used to be. (The manager is GREAT). I have had issues with MTs (MT supervisor) and I can honestly say I thought about leaving more than once and she was 99% of the reason. I follow account specifics, follow my schedule consistency, and my QA scores are consistently higher than their minimum requirement and I am no longer having issues. Any e-mail to her is also supposed to be copied to her superior and vice versa, which may have played a roll. I don't have contact with her daily, or even weekly. The positives more than make up for this negative.
I love Amphion! I've only been there 2 months now....
but am very happy. They are extremely helpful. Any concerns I have had (which have been only minimal things) have been addressed very quickly. A week after I was on my account, I hadn't complained at all, but got an email from my boss that said they had decided that we had to do a little more info screen input so they were adding a 3% differential to my base pay for that account! The benefits are good. I would definitely consider them if I were you.
I've sent resumes twice in the last 4 months. No reply. nm

I've only been gone 2 months but no check. I have called
and gotten voice mails. I have left messages and still no check and no returned calls. I did get my last check though.
I had no work either on 3 accounts, but didn't know I could stay logged in.
I've been with Keystrokes for about 7 months, and I am very happy. sm
Pay is accurate and on time, plenty of work most of the time, and the people in management seem to genuinely care about the employees. My primary account is in Meditech and at first I hated it, but now I do not mind it at all. Hope this helps. Good luck.
I've only been with present company for months and don't have counts where I'd like, otherw

I've been on OT all but 2 days the past 4 months. If work is slow
that just means we get a chance to get caught up with TAT. Get paid for downtime too if no work.
RE: I've been with Transform for 2 months and so far, so good. Nice people to work with, (sm)
pay is on time, direct deposit, etc.
Yes, I've read several posts about SS
and will beware. Thanks. I've learned a lot just by reading all the posts here.
I've been reading these posts and
x
I've seen in-house job posts.
I would submit your resume to your local hospitals and call to check for open positions frequently. Good luck!
I've read the old posts
before I accepted a position with them and I am glad I ignored them. I find my line rate to be very fair compared to what I have seen advertised for other companies, no it isn't the 14 cpl that I used to get on my own but who would expect that now anyway :). I have never had any problems with them. Pay has always been on time, the QA and management are always quick to answer any questions I have and they leave you alone during the day. IM is only used for quick problems and I can count on 1 hand how many times they have IM'd me, other than my first 2 days to see how I was doing and if I needed anything. To each their own though, everyone will not be pleased with the same companies.
I know there are other posts, I've read them...sm
I'm strictly looking for people with good experiences with DSG, not problems with them. I know there are some MTs who work there who are happy, a friend of mine knows someone who loves this company, so it can't be all bad. Those are the people I'm asking to hear from. Thanks anyway:)
