I'm stumped!

I've read these negative complaints many times here, and I have to say...I just don't get it.  I'm a former MQ transcriptionist.  I was with them for 7 years and made the switch to MDI about 3 years ago.  I've never been happier....very seldom have a day with low work volumes (other than the normal holiday slumps), have never had a problem making a change in my schedule,  and honestly have never come across a staff member that I found rude or otherwise difficult to work with.  I have about 5 accounts, but rarely have to go to a secondary.  However, if I did have a problem, I would be addressing it to Carlotta or Dorothy at MDI, not here on an MT forum.  My experiences with Carlotta and Dorothy have always been positive.  When I first started out with MDI, I encountered some technical problems that nearly forced me to leave MDI, but Carlotta did her very best to accommodate and work out a plan that would enable me to continue on with MDI.  I will always be  extremely grateful that she went that extra mile for me.  I can't help but feel badly for Carlotta getting slammed here.  I have never received a threat to decrease my line count pay, and since these mailings go out to all transcriptionists, I'm seriously doubting that a threat like that ever took place.  I have seen a mailing about changing an MT's status to p.r.n., but only if they aren't consistently meeting their line commitments.  I don't see a problem with that at all.  I absolutely do not regret taking a position with MDI.  In fact, I feel extremely fortunate to have found them.

Somewhat similar here, and I'm stumped
I accepted a position with a company as an IC. They sent me all the info on the hospital, etc., and said they'd call in a few days with my ID and for training. They called, I was at the grocery store (shame on me). I've been calling them back for over a week now, have read all the documentation and am ready to go - now they're not calling me back. What is up with this stuff? Why would they go through all this trouble and then just drop off the face of the earth?
