I'm new to TT but not to MT

Why do you think I'm naive? Just because I believe in WORKING MY SCHEDULED HOURS and flexing when I have to?
I've worked in the corporate world for umpteen years and only MT'g for 15 years. If I didn't work my scheduled hours on a regular job, I'd be fired. The same goes for working for an MT company. Whatever hours you are scheduled for, you should work. I don't sit there and wait for work. If there was no work within 15 minutes, I'd find something else to do, but keep the lines open. I usually always got my time in without working 12, 14, 16 hours like others stated, either by putting in a little extra time during the week, or working some hours on the weekend..
Don't forget, you are signing a contract. You agree to work a certain amount of hours a week. If you don't, you are breaking that contract. I've seen too many posts on these boards where MTs gripe about having to work so many hours and they want a life. Well, at certain times of a year, it's a given that you won't have a life if you want a job. It all equals out sooner or later. I look at it this way - you either want a job or you want to do your own thing - Okay, fine, but then don't gripe when things don't go your way. You essentially worked you way out of a decent job.
I have never really had any complaints with TT. Is that a problem for you? Don't answer because I'm not about to butt heads over this.THIS IS ONLY MY OPINION.
