I am so glad too that I don't have to deal with MQ ever again. I feel positive about the whole thing. Hours will be 3-11, hope this 57-year-old can adjust, lol.

I applied online and took the test on Tues. evening. Rhonda called me on Wed. to make an offer. I had asked for Sun-Thurs 2nd shift 4 pm to 12 am but she said that wasn't available, so I took Tues-Sat. 2nd shift. I faxed my initial paperwork Thurs. and she called me back twice. The 2nd time she said they had decided that they would ahead and give me the Sun-Thurs. They are sending my footpedal, etc. I have a 1 pm appt with the IT guy on Tues, then the trainer at 3, and then I can start typing. The only thing is they pay bimonthly, the 15th and the last day of the month so I won't get my first check until 5/29. Spheris paid biweekly. I'm really hoping it's a good fit; it sounds good. Rhonda never even discussed my test score with me, just went by my experience. I hope I don't let her down.

I did email asking if they could have a summary rather than us trying to compare old to new and figure out the changes. I was told the changes are too numerous to annotate.
That scared me.

I'm lookin for part-time work (about 3-4 hrs daily) after 13 years of full-time, anyone know of a
company that is hiring flexible part-time? I'm starting a career in real estate but don't want to totally quit transcription, but I think most places require 25 hours a week and I cant work weekends, as real estate sales are the biggest on the weekend with open houses and people off work to shows homes to. If you know of a place I'd sure appreciate the info. Thanks!

I interviewed with them the other day and accepted a position yesterday although my acceptance was via the recruiter's voicemail and I haven't heard back yet. This is going to be a great new year. I can feel it. Of course, I will feel more confident once I get a call or E-mail confirming my acceptance.

Losing my insurance, my good dictators and work! I too check my work and was thinking the only way I am going to win this battle is to just rush through it for production sake. Then it occurred to me that they would still get me for being below the 98% correct threshold if I did that. I am starting to feel like I am going to get screwed instead of the hope I had that their software was so wonderful I could breeze through it and still be meticulous at the same time.

I do not believe that anyone would tell you to take a few days off (not saying I don't believe you, but I know we are busy and I need to know who told you that).
If anyone is running out of work, I would like to know about it immediately.

I haven't done Radiology on a regular basis since 1997...but I got offered this job and I almost turned it down because I've been doing acute care for so long I thought I wanted to continue with that...but I took the Rad job and it just kind of felt good to type Rad again. I think I was burned out on acute care!
